Michi's Catering was one of the best vendors we worked with for our wedding. From beginning to end,…read morethey were incredibly responsive, accommodating, professional, and just an absolute pleasure to work with. From our very first tasting, I could not stop talking about how good the food at our wedding was going to be. That's how excited I was. The food was INSANE. The tasting itself was also such a lovely experience--they made everything feel so personal and were genuinely so sweet and welcoming. I left the tasting already knowing our guests were going to be well fed. And somehow, the food at the actual wedding was just as amazing. Michi and his team, Raphael and Michael, were outstanding. They were so professional and attentive, and you could tell how much pride they take in what they do. Michi himself is also just the sweetest. He made our guests feel so welcomed and taken care of, and his team even made sure my husband and I had plates of food so we actually got to eat at our own wedding--which we appreciated SO much. The FOOD. I cannot say enough about it. Everything was absolutely delicious, and our guests were raving about it. Wedding food can sometimes feel like an afterthought, but that was absolutely not the case with Michi. It was genuinely one of the highlights of our wedding. Their presentation is also phenomenal. They have such an eye for making everything look beautiful and aesthetic. It wasn't just catering--it felt like another part of the overall design of our wedding. Everything looked intentional, elevated, and just as good as it tasted. I also LOVE their business model. Instead of nickel-and-diming you or charging per piece like so many other caterers, they have a per-person pricing structure that made everything feel so much easier. Our guests could actually EAT, everyone was happy and full, and we never felt like we had to worry about whether there would be enough food. Michi's is worth EVERY PENNY. The combination of incredible food, beautiful presentation, professionalism, and genuinely amazing service is so hard to beat. I truly cannot say enough good things about Michi and his entire team. If they had a restaurant, I would literally be there all the time. That is how good their food is. If you're considering Michi's Catering for your wedding or event, BOOK THEM. Your guests will be fed, happy, and talking about the food afterward. Thank you Michi, Raphael, Michael, and the entire team for taking such amazing care of us and our guests. You guys are phenomenal.

What stood out most were all the thoughtful personal touches. They made an exception to host all four of us for the tasting (when normally they just allow 2) and even prepared a special yuzu salmon for us as those were our favorites. You can really tell how much care and creativity Raphael, Mike, Michi, and the whole family put into what they do. We ultimately went with another caterer that was a closer fit for the specific dinner experience we had in mind, but we came away extremely impressed with Michi's Life and were treated like family. Would absolutely recommend them and would happily consider them for another event in the future!

I spoke with Chef Dui and shared the concept I had in mind for the event. He was incredibly flexible with my requests, understood my vision, and provided the invoice right away, which made the planning process so easy. Then came the day of the event and absolutely delivered! Everything we discussed and everything I envisioned was brought to life and honestly, it turned out even better than I expected. The DIY Vietnamese Noodle Bar was a huge hit. Everyone kept raving about how delicious the food was, and it was so rewarding to see people enjoying something I had envisioned for the event. To top it all off, the catering team was incredibly kind, accommodating, and professional. As we all know, great food and great service go hand in hand, and D-D Delight nailed both. The food was exceptionally well executed. The beef was perfectly seasoned and tender (not chewy at all!!) and had that wonderful smoky flavor from the char. The chicken was also beautifully seasoned with a nice lemongrass flavor that really came through. I heard so many great things about the grilled shrimp as well. I initially thought the tofu might be bland but I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful and delicious it turned out. Not to mention, they also had a vegan version of the Nuoc Cham for our vegetarian guests! Every component was thoughtfully prepared, and the entire experience, from planning to execution, was fantastic. Kudos to Chef Dui and the entire D-D Delight team! You guys did an amazing job, and we will definitely be hiring you again for our next event. Highly recommended!

Food, Service = 5 Another 5 star catering service delivery…read more What started as a repeat extremely satisfied customer order journeyed into uncertainty closed out with validation why Athena Grill Catering will always be one of my go to catering companies, especially for Greek, Mediterranean food. Went to their website to order catered buffet lunch for a board retreat happening the next day in Los Altos. As before site easy to navigate with a variety of options to tailor. The first clue that there might be issues was I wasn't able to see or select my ideal delivery time for later in the day. I thought they were already booked for the time. Then when I confirmed & paid for my order, the interface provided a message at bottom of my receipt that catering orders must be made 48 hours in advance. I did it the night before our retreat. (Made note to self to order 48 hours in advance in future) I was disappointed that the website did not clearly note must be made 48 hours in advance or message before I paid that I was ordering less than 48 hours. After making a decent size order for 9, I went in mode hoping to salvage this order. I sent email to restaurant and left a voicemail that night with intention to call in morning to ensure they can fulfill order or provide a refund if they cannot. I called in morning to leave another message in hopes they check messages before their Saturday opening time of 11am which would not allow enough time to cook & deliver. So while setting up for our retreat and searching for a plan B for lunch the hour before retreat starts at 9:30am, I discovered several missed calls. To my delight it was Lorena confirming that they can complete the order, to call back & that would need to pay $20 to deliverer (lunch delivery is complimentary during weekdays near to their restaurant). She left voicemail and text. When I called back, I thank her and Athena grill for coming through. Fast forward, food delivered in mobile hot boxes as expected on time by a couple, quietly arranged in the back of room, generous serving for 9, and very hot for traveling from Santa Clara to Los Altos. I confirmed with Lorena via text and expressed my gratitude who again was responsive. The food was enjoyed by all. We had salad (crisp w/dressing on side), grilled veggies (chunky cut that were firm not mushy), spanakopita (crisp phylo w/good size filling), vegetarian moussaka (would not miss the meat), rice (loose and more than enough for 9 of us), grilled skewered chicken (always moist), grilled salmon (first time and was good portion), and baklava (tasted home made). One of my colleagues asked if food was Halal, which I think they confirmed. Unsure if correct, so suggest contact restaurant directly. Brought leftovers for Hubby & Dad to enjoy. Made plans to eat at their restaurant so can enjoy other yummy dishes like their lamb. Thank you Lorena & Athena Grill Catering.
