Unfortunately, for whatever reason, I had a lot of trouble adjusting to the orthotics for my left foot. I received the initial pair in August 2014, and had to come back to Dr. Peters roughly five or six times over the subsequent nine months. I certainly wished the troubles I had were not so time-consuming, but what was appreciated was that despite this, Dr. Peters spent the extra time and worked on adjustments to ensure I was comfortable. Further, he agreed not to charge me any co-pays, and as the calendar year changed (and my insurance deductible kicked in), Dr. Peters agreed not to charge me at all for the final few appointments. He was committed to making sure the orthotics worked for me, even without earning additional fees for the added services. I am appreciative of the high level of care Dr. Peters continues to provide even though, at this point, the economics for him and his office are unfavorable. The extra care goes a long way, and I am happy to share this experience with the community since I know we often complain about patient care elsewhere.

They totally messed up the insurance approvals and the hospital had to straighten them out. I made the appointment, and the receptionist said that the remainder of the information would be gathered at the appointment. When I arrived for the appointment, the discourteous receptionist demanded my insurance card. When I informed her this was groupon, she reported that they would be billing my insurance company for a consultation. She also verified that I would be required to pay my insurance co-pay. None of this was in the fine print on the groupon site, and it felt too much like double billing for me. I refused the treatment and walked out of the office.
