I do my best to be pleasant to people even when they are being unreasonable but she is so confrontational it really pushes me to act unprofessionally. She seems to want to fight with you. I've never been treated so poorly by another business owner. I've hesitated to do a review for a long time because I don't want any repercussions on my own business. Three people from Mid American Energy came knocking at my door the other morning. They informed me that my power meter was 15 years old and it had quit working. They told me that in order to replace the meter, the meter box would have to be replaced first and an electrician would have to do that part at my expense. So, I started my online search. I contacted Universal and three other places. One place didn't return my call at all, another said that they were too backed up, and the third one gave me a quote of $3100 dollars. Universal came out the day after I called and said they could do the job for $550 dollars. I said that would be fine and to go ahead as soon as they could. They were here the following day with Brian and his co-worker. When they saw that the entire box did not need to be replaced, they only replaced the connector parts inside the box that were bad. When everything was said and done, they said the job turned out to be easier that they had expected and dropped their charges from $550 dollars to $180 dollars. Mid American was there at the time they did their work and seemed perfectly happy with the work that Universal had done. They installed the new meter and everyone went on their way. It could not have been a better experience. If I ever need the help of an electrician again, I won't even consider calling anyone other than Universal.

Their truck also left an oil stain on the driveway. They did not honor their guarantee (offered to clean carpets, but we declined). I was able to snag a cancellation they had and they came this morning. Mason called to say he would be out in 30 minutes and he was right on time! He came in and looked around, checked areas I was concerned about, wrote up my estimate and after my instant approval he got to work. He was extremely professional in his setting up, taking care to protect corners where his hoses or cords might hit. He pretreated areas of concern and was even able to remove an unknown stain from 18 years ago that I could never get out. Mason did an excellent job, this is my second time using Zerorez and I will never use anyone else.
