We used this funeral home for my grandfather who died in Rhinelander. It was just OK. The business man who we dealt with to make the plans and discuss financing was a little on the rude and aggressive side, but the funeral directors seemed nice. I thought the makeup they put on my grandfather looked too orange and unnatural. The funeral home seemed small, and they didn't have a lot of space for serving lunch, etc. compared to other funeral homes we've used. We went elsewhere for the meal following the service. We attended the Christmas memorial service. It was nice, but we were a little offended by the funeral director saying that people are usually quite emotional at the funeral service and when they aren't, "We have to wonder what might have been going on." What?? Just because a wife doesn't cry publicly when her husband dies doesn't mean there was "something going on." People experience grief differently. Who are they to judge? I personally wouldn't use this funeral home again. read more
