Irresistible. Just your thing if you are attracted to junk, like I am. And I don't mean made in…read moreChina junk, I mean made in the U.s.A before you were born, junk. You can find a trinket for $2 or a gorgeous vintage 5 foot round illuminated clock, for $550. There were a lot of homemade musical instruments, which I thought were interesting. He says antique dealers come in and buy his stuff to sell for more elsewhere. I believe it. His prices are reasonable and negotiable, but he wasn't born yesterday. I found out what he pays for rent, and its a wonder he doesn't charge more. I bought a few things (including a fab $5 plastic bread box from the 50s or 60s) and was due a dollar change. He didn't have it. I told him to keep the dollar, but he insisted I scour the store for something else to get my money's worth. Once he saw my hesitance, he started to look around on my behalf as I walked toward the door. He offered a dusty card, an old frame, but my favorite was an iron meat grinder, that weighed around 20 pounds. It had the date melded onto its form: 1926. As charming as it was, I took an old CBS sign instead.

This is an enticing little shop. It's like a museum, where you will see collectibles you never…read moreknew existed. Sam, the owner, is a joy. My most recent purchase is an 'outsider art' totem pole - hand-carved and definitely one of a kind! Everybody loves this place. Located near Sherman Way, accross the street from Goodwill, which is also worth a look.

Totally weird type of shop in a good way located in Burbank. If you like to look at strange and…read moreuncommon things, then this place is perfect. Plenty of odds and ends from memorabilia from horror movies, old medical bottles and devices. Just some really neat stuff. They also sell candles, herbs, clothing. A bit of everything. There is a museum attached for a small fee. I did not check it out this time, but next time for sure. Street parking was easy and service was friendly.

Bearded Lady Vintage And Oddities is located in Burbank and right next door to The Mystic Museum…read more I had been wanting to check out both for a while now, but unfortunately we only had time to check out the Bearded Lady Vintage And Oddities shop and not the museum this time. There were so many cool things to look at - from spooky handbags to fake teeth to bugs to even a real hair crown...yes, a crown made out of human hair! I didn't end up buying anything, but there were 2 bags I was definitely eyeballing - they were fairly priced too. I would like to come back next time I am in Burbank when I have more time! We then walked next door to The Mystic Museum and checked out their decorations which were awesome! You can go look around for free without signing up for the museum. If you're looking for something to do in Burbank, check out Bearded Lady Vintage And Oddities and pick up something funky for that special someone or even yourself!
