A must stop for a dining experience in São Paulo!!!…read more If you enjoy Italian cuisine this is the place to be. Famiglia Mancini is a family owned corner that offers about 5 themed restaurants where you may dine in indoors or outdoors depending on your preference. You will be able to get pizza, pasta, seafood, full course meals and even burgers. I would definitely recommend a reservation to be safe as all the restaurants are busy during peak hours and it may be difficult to get a table. They sell wine by the bottle (even have a tiny bottle with a one glass serving). Service is good, they're friendly and help with suggestions, just be sure to be ready for at least a 30min wait for food. A must go! I had the Alfredo spaghetti with shrimp and bacon and i would love to have it again.

MUST GO at least once…read more We stayed at the bar area (which has a R$35 fee per person) for the sunset. It was gorgeous, definitely the best view in São Paulo. WORTH IT. Everything is overpriced but as long as you know where you're getting yourself into it, you're fine! I had a soda, my fiancé had a beer and we shared an appetizer and it was around R$140,00.

Excellent service. Great view. Romantic setting. A nice place to experience a view of São Paulo!…read moreMost of the food was good. I was unable to eat my order which was linguine with Sicilian lemon sauce and shrimp. I found it a very strange dish, especially for the price. There was a huge bowl of pasta and that with the sauce tasted fine. But the shrimp is what really ruined the dish for me. I did not understand the arrangement which was kind of messy considering where we were, and there was only one large shrimp with tail on and several tiny shrimp that were so over cooked and dry it was not pleasing at all. The staff noticed I could not eat the food and asked me so I told them the problem. They offered to make me another plate but the rest of the party had already finished. They offered me a dessert of my own voice so I did take that and ordered a cappuccino. Everyone else chose a dessert as well and was enjoyed by all and I really enjoyed my cappuccino. They did not charge the meal for me and gave me the dessert complimentary also. My recommendation is it is very worth going for the experience. My dish was the only disappointing one. I would definitely go back. Also, don't expect extremely fast service. This is a romantic setting and I feel you should take your time and enjoy the wait with those you are enjoying a meal with.

Oh holy sweet goodness that is every bit of this place, thank you for existing!…read more Celebrating my 30th birthday in Brazil during the 2014 World Cup was a thing in itself (jealous?) But coming here for the bday dinner before drunkenly Karaoke'ing in Liberdade was one (or two) of the best decisions during this trip. The language barrier was not too overbearing, but we had been in the country a few days at this point, so we knew a few key words to get us going, also the guy that greeted us at the front (whom was very well dressed might I add) was super nice and helpful in ensuring we had everything we needed for an amazing dining experience. The Caprisi salad: Delicious. The Bruschetta: Awesome. The Pizzas: Phenominal! I had no idea Brazil was so big on pizza, they're everywhere! Something this pizza-lover was very happy to find out. Aside from the exquisitely delectable food offerings, the decor was one of the coolest restaurants I've ever been in. There is this exotic, outdoorsy - garden feel to it (it IS an indoor joint tho) truly a beautiful space. I dream of returning to Brazil one day and hopefully this amazing restaurant will still be around to help me relive that beautiful, culinary smorgasbord we experienced the first time around.

I tried the brocolis pizza (it's a sin, I know) and my first thought was "I had better and cheaper, God I miss Vitrine". Vitrine is a great pizza place up the road, it stays open till late and the pizzas are AWESOME. This cantina has a particular thing though: the building was the house of the famous Brazilian writer Mario de Andrade. The waiters are lost and confused, I guess Mario would having people like that around his home.

The style is formal with beautiful silverware, glasses and linen, but we found the service excellent and not too stiff. We made a reservation but there were only two other tables occupied during the evening we visited. Nice and quiet ambiance. The food was great; in particular the smoked salmon carpaccio and the tenderloin medallions ('ao ponto' recommended). The ravioli with smoked surubim fish and pumpkin was quite nice also but didn't stand out. For desert we had a petit gateau which was very surprising as it was not a chocolate cake and the filling was an orange-white chocolate. Unusual but delicious. The mains include meat, fish and poultry options, as well as risottos and pastas. Prices for mains range from R45 to R80. Your bill can stay low, but it will bend upward when adding wine. The wine list is quite exciting with bottles ranging from R100 into the upper echelons for high rollers.
