On top of being oblivious to the timeline of booking of a florist, we were planning a wedding in New Orleans from Chicago, so communication was incredibly important. We were so lucky that someone directed us towards the folks at Mardi Gras Productions. Not only were they able to fit us in, they were so professional, easy to work with, and the flowers were absolutely stunning. My husband commented multiple times about how beautiful the flowers were, which really says something. They also helped us transform an awkward ceremony space into something really lovely. And most importantly, their prices were incredibly reasonable considering the quality of their work. Thanks guys!

After reading positive Google reviews, I found Sparkle and Swag and OMG, it's a DIY party planners paradise! The store is filled with all the party trends you see on Pinterest! I was blown away at the decor choices, straightforward online ordering, and customer service. I ordered a balloon bouquet for my cousins' sorority probate and she absolutely loved it! Another thing I thought was cool at the Orange Street location (not sure about the Metairie store), is that there's an event space for hosting parties on the same property. So happy I found Sparkle and Swag!

At the moment, I cannot comment upon their float-making or building skills, but someday I hope to organize an entire parade -- the Krewe of Yelpy Gras, perhaps -- and therefore will be looking to commission original float sculptures. However, that is a story for another time. Specifically, the future. In short, Studio 3 is a mini-Mardi Gras World. That's the best way to describe it. If you've been to Mardi Gras World, you know what I mean. If you haven't, I suggest you go and then come back and read this review so it will actually mean something to you. Coolest thing, as far as I could tell, was the boxing ring they had over in the corner. For this particular party it was designated as the "special roped off dance area in the VIP area" over toward the left side of backstage, and it was fun to bounce up and down on the ropes, as well as run back and forth across the ring as you bounced off them. The ropes were like giant rubberbands, if rubberbands were made of plastic cord that's shaped like rope. The party was fun, the space is super cool, and I'd love to have an event here someday. Also, I was told that the owner of Studio 3 teaches boxing there, hence the boxing ring, so if you're into that sort of thing perhaps you might want to look into it. And, of course, report back, as well as post any related events on the Yelp Events page. So...keep us posted, I guess. FIN P.S. Yay FTR! (First To Review) Go me! :P

I liked that the chefs were up on the stage doing their thing. And the venue was nice and airy for us diners to enjoy. Pros: Getting to see the sculptures in various stages of creation/demolition and the artfully displayed final products Cons: the bathrooms were ...warehouse bathrooms. Would definitely attend another event here.

The venue setting, the service from Jess & her team, the food were all over the top. We had more than 200 guests from 20 different states and when I say everyone had a great experience, I mean GREAT. A high percentage of people were from New York/New Jersey and they never stopped coming up to me to say "we have been to so many weddings at some of the highest-end venues, but this is Best.Wedding.Ever." I have always taught my twin boys that one secret to a happy life is to temper your expectations in order to minimize your disappointments. However, after our tasting visit last August my expectations for this wedding were incredibly high. I told everyone it was going to be both special and magical. Truth is I wasn't even close - the experience blew me away. I told Jess that Elms Mansion had created a memory that will last for so many of our lifetimes. If you are considering a New Orleans wedding, do not look any further than Elms Mansion. I assure you that Jess and your team will make all your dreams come true. Jon

My friend was also in need of party rentals the same weekend and I referred her to Geaux Event as well. Picking up the chairs/tables after the ceremony was also right on time and efficient. Communication with the company before the ceremony was also great - we needed a couple of changes, and they always responded promptly and helpfully. The wedding was held at the Peristyle at City Park, and I was worried they might run into issues because the parking right by the venue was taken, but the two men Party Rentals Delivered sent handled it without an issue. I wish I had their names - they were great! To sum it up - the last thing I wanted to deal with on the day of our wedding was a logistical issue with the chairs. Party Rentals Delivered were so professional, quick, and helpful that I honestly didn't even notice them working until all the chairs were set up! I highly recommend them for any of your rental needs.

My partner and I are planning our winter wedding. We had been in contact with Michael since August…read moreand immediately provided our floor plan to assist in the process. Throughout the correspondence with him, things seemed to be understood and going smoothly. Unfortunately, this did not last. After a couple of back and forth exchanges regarding the amount of tables and linens would be needed it seemed like it was never understood that because our venue was multi-storied (mezzanine and rooftop- indicated on the provided floor plan) we would be charged extra fees to deliver our rentals. We'd reached a point where we were being told that they needed to add a multi-level delivery fee and an extra $1000 if the items weren't delivered back to the first floor at the end of the reception. However, they stated that the multi-level delivery fee would NOT cover the delivery or set up of the chairs to the roof and that we would need to complete this task ourselves. After questioning this and asking for additional explanation to understand the fee(s), we were met with little flexibility, discontinuing of services, and the unwillingness to communicate in a medium that wasn't via email. Our take is that since our guest list was expansive, the bandwidth of the company could not cover the uncertainties that arise when you have a guest list of over 175 and are having your ceremony and reception at a multi storied venue. Therefore if you're planning a larger wedding with similar needs to ours search elsewhere.
