This is a special, special store, not to be missed on a visit to NOLA! These are not the same old…read moretired masks you can find literally everywhere else in the Quarter; the masks here are crafted by local artisans, and they're exquisite. They range from Commedia del Arte to the Grotesque and everything in between, but not a one is shabby looking. The masks here are closer to what you'd find in a shop in Venice (Italy, not California!), in terms of style and quality. The young man behind the counter (I'm pretty sure his name is Daniel) was truly welcoming and friendly, a representation of the best kind of hospitality and class that New Orleans has to offer. If you're coming to NOLA for the first time (like I was) or the fifty-first, this is one place you need to check out! Hidden bonus for fans of "The Twilight Zone": there are recreations of the original masks from the unforgettable NOLA-set episode "The Masks" on display!

My favorite masks were the ones that had beads or lace like a belly dancer veil that could cover a Covid mask. That's a unique feature that I haven't seen on other masks. This would be a good place to get a more elaborate mask if you had a specific costume that you were buying for, but be prepared to shell out some cash.

Gumbo: the gumbo I expected better honestly. The sausage was tough and for the gumbo to be slow cooked-- i received a lukewarm cup of gumbo. Double cut Porkchop: she was the star of the evening! She came medium well nestled on a pile of new potatoes and collard greens (that were orgasmic!). The dish is finished with a blueberry jus (Sp) I cleaned my plate almost. We did have an issue with one of my companions order. They also ordered the double Porkchop, however there's was undercooked. We informed our server, Charlie and they took care the issue right away! All of the seating upstairs is high top and close to the vents so we found ourselves cold and being dripped on. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and had a nice experience.

They also do custom orders and studio is based in Tangipahoa Parish, so they do markets all around. Great soaps and bath bombs! Delicious aromas. She also had a few festival hats and custom print T-shirts. Everything was very cool, extremely unique and crazy whimsical. Camera on phone is broken or I'd add pictures... next time. The soap packaging reads "Little Easy" but the clothing and accessories read "Gris Gris Girls".
