This place is so well hidden in plain sight. Of course if you pay a bit of attention, you will notice in their shop window that they sell some sports gear. I bet, however, you would not expect to find yourself among 5 floors of sports clothes and gear.
In the basement you can find the Outlet section, offering clothes that are slightly out of season, or older collection for decent discounts. The sales personel seem to be rather knowledgeable of their products, nice and ready to help out. The selection of camping gear on the top 2 floors is quite impressive, even though I am not a camper myself. Also, Carl Denig has an almost insane amount of ski and snowboard gear. Yet, I was quite surprised that they did not have back protectors (the ones used by snowboarders). They one had one in form of a bag, which I found rather on the visually less appealing side, and not what I was looking for.
I personally have not been able to fully appreciate this store yet, as I have not found myself in the position of looking for something they sell. I do think, however, that they have a big choice which a lot of skiers/snowboarder and hikers and campers can appreciate. They have also a lot of random things, so I would suggest you do pass by there if you are looking for something specific. I would not necessarily suggest looking for your running apparel here. read more
