Because that previous experience is so much fun and interesting working with great staff and wonderful residents, I thought volunteering there would be the perfect place. I called the office and spoke with a woman. I told her what I wanted to do but she was very rude. She transferred the call to another person. The next woman was just as rude as the previous one. I decided not to volunteer with Eastmont. I didn't want to surround myself with rude and grumpy staff. I did get a call from upper management. She was very kind. I appreciated her apologizing for her rude employees. Eastmont gives great care to its residents. I hope that never changes. Since renovating their facility/home, it is a beautiful and comfortable environment. I gave them a lower review so they will learn to hold people accountable. I believe everyone should be treated with kindness and being polite.

My employer had changed our insurance provider so after I went for my yearly physical, I received an out of network bill. My yearly physicals have always been 100 percent covered, so this was unexpected. I was very disappointed that no one in the office informed me that my new insurance would now be out of network when I made my appointment or when I checked in. If I would have known, I would have chosen a different providers office. I also work in healthcare and our office ALWAYS checks patient insurance at the time the appointment is made so there are no surprises. The office manager at Family Health and Wellness was not willing to work with me on my charge unless I was a cash patient at the time of check in and I am told I must pay the full amount. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this office again! Poor patient customer service.

She has great bedside manner and it's evident that she makes an effort to familiarize herself with the patient on a personal level (she has on record what I'm studying and how many years I have left, etc.). The only negative I have to say is that my appointments generally last at least an hour. Or rather, my time in the office does. They're quick to move you from the waiting room to a private room but the time between the nurse taking your stats and seeing the Dr. can be quite awhile. Although I think this is probably attributed to the excellent and thorough patient care so I don't mind. I would (and DO) highly recommend Dr. Lovegrove.
