Like I said - I haven't painted since I was a kid and I was nervous (silly me) because I'm so untalented and have ZERO training or talent. But I painted a picture and I feel like I learned a few things. Mostly, it killed the apprehension inside of me. Now I feel like I can let the artist in me out and I now have some confidence. They provide everything (canvas, paint and brushes) - you only need to bring yourself and maybe a friend There's wine and egg rolls for those who want to snack and paint. The classes are small and are for all ages. I can't stress enough HOW MUCH I think people should do this! It was a great, new thing to do.

Leslie was a dream!…read more My (now!) husband and I decided to have a pop-up wedding during a week-long visit to the Twin Cities. Searching Yelp, we found Leslie with Ceremonies by Positively Charmed days before hopping on a plane for our trip. While we weren't sure if Yelp was the best way to find the individual who would be reading our vows and pronouncing us husband and wife...we cannot say enough for how honored and blessed we are to have had Leslie guiding us into our marriage. With only five days notice, she still took the time to talk us through her process and provided us with a questionnaire that helped her get to know us but also gave us another opportunity to reflect on the gravity and beauty of the decision we were making. When the day arrived, it was as if she was already part of our family and understood the two of us and what marriage and this commitment meant to us. Not an eye remained dry through the ceremony. It had so much heart and depth, and truly reflected us. An intimate and sacred gathering. Leslie will ALWAYS be a part of the joy and delight of our wedding day.

From start (me primping in my fleece and sneakers) to finish (our wedding dance and party), the photos tell the story of the day beautifully. I appreciated also that Shelly was very low-key and really subtle in her photography. We didn't have a lot of posed, contrived shots that I've seen from other weddings (you know, when everyone looks fake and uncomfortable). The best photos were truly those that I had no idea were taken. I love to look through our book and remember that fantastic day!

Jeannine Pohl did our engagement and wedding photography and she is amazing. After looking through…read moredozens and dozens of books, we couldn't find anyone who truly captured the moment or the love until I saw Jeannine's and fell in love. It was a bonus that she was so fun and easy to work with! She was so amazing during my wedding planning process, she always had ideas or words of encouragement for me when I would message her all stressed out or even when she just checked in to see how things were going (which she did frequently during the two years I planned!). The day of my wedding she was there, she quickly knew everyone's names and who they were (vendors, wedding party, and family members) which made the day much easier. With a wedding party of 16 she really had to corral us often but she did and always got the shot. She was open to my suggestions but always knew what she was doing, had a plan, and came up with the best ideas along the way. She is really good at using what is around to her advantage making it seem like it was always supposed to be that way. She is awesome. She is fun. And she is really, really good at her job. I will never use another photographer again!

When looking through her previous work, she had a great mix of fun and traditional, which was exactly what we were looking for. After meeting with her, we both quickly agreed that we had found the perfect fit, both in terms of style and personality. Jeannine was incredibly helpful throughout the process, making planning from 1,200+ miles away much less stressful. The night before the wedding, there was a change of weather in the forecast and Jeannine was quick to walk us through alternative plans if needed and put our minds at ease. The day of, she was energetic and fun, but also great at keeping everyone on task! Her general 'vibe' worked SO well with our whole crew, and she managed to get everyone's personalities in photos. She captured the ceremony perfectly and got some amazing candid shots of our guests dancing during the reception. The photos even came back sooner than expected and we couldn't be happier with how they turned out! We would highly recommend Jeannine to photograph your big day!
