Maybe there are more? They sell real Jamaican food, made by Jamaicans for the local Jamaican community; what more can you ask in terms of authenticity in a food outlet? The smell inside is immediately captivating and even though I wasn't going to buy much, my mind had changed by the time I got to the front of the queue. The service is friendly and the food is wonderful. I ordered a portion of mutton curry and 2 dumplings which came to a fiver. The meals which include chicken, fish or mutton curry with rice and peas and vegetables are around £6 depending on what you get. You can have it warmed up there if you're eating in or you live round the corner, but I chose to heat it up at home. The mutton was flavoursome and the perfect dumplings...yet again.

It's very near to Birmingham City Centre so didn't take us long to get there. Colourfully decorated, designed to remind you of Jamaica. It's best to book beforehand as it can get very busy as they can cater for large parties but the night we went wasn't too busy. The menu wasn't as extensive as I expected but I still had a choice of standard Jamaician food to choose from but my partners, who's a vegetarian wasn't spoilt for choice. This was made up for by the staff being very attentive and the owner coming round later in the evening to greet all the diners. The food was good, portions were just the right size and with the warm atmosphere I'll be there again.
