this Walgreen's pharmacy is the worst experience I've ever had at a pharmacy . I called and was on hold for 19 minutes; called back and used the automated system just to be told "we're still working in it." I called again about every 45 mins -- same answer from automated system, except this last time when I called, about 6:18pm, the automated voice stated the pharmacy was closing at 7. so I got in my car determined not to leave the drive-thru without my antibiotic - I was third car in line and when I got to the window, the tech got my antibiotic!!! WTH? where was my notification that the automated system said would notify me as soon as my prescription was ready?? I will never ever use this pharmacy again -- what an unbelievably-frustrating experience, especially for someone who is suffering in pain. you're awful

Walgreens is my go-to spot to pick up same day photo prints, as well as purchase gift cards. I…read morebelieve they have the best deal on photos compared to Walmart and CVS. And they continuously run promotions for 30-40% off prints. Beauty, household, personal care, and grocery items are higher than other stores. But that's to be expected since you're paying for the convenience. The store is well lit and the aisles are bright and well organized. Valentine's Day merchandise is out and they have a great selection of adorable gifts.

Owner/pharmacist John has gone above and beyond to ensure my happiness! I've never received this…read moretype of service from any other pharmacy/pharmacist before. The drug I need, tetracaine lollipops (numbing lollipops for post-op pain from a tonsillectomy), must be compounded. John had to order several components to ensure the drug was compounded correctly. He was concerned that he would not have the supplies in time, so he paid for overnight shipping. All components, except one, arrived on time. He called me twice to make sure I was comfortable, and he even offered to transfer the prescription to another pharmacy about an hour away - just in case I needed it before he could get the other ingredient to compound the drug. I said no, I would wait on him - after all of this, I wouldn't give my $ to anyone else! Then, he gave me his personal cell # to call/text just in case I needed him at all through the night since my medicine would not be available. He gave helpful tips on things to do to minimize the pain, such as waking up periodically to take sips of cold water, resting elevated, etc. He also assured me that if I could not control the pain without the numbing lollipops, he would do anything he could to help me. The service I receive at The Medicine Shoppe in Georgetown, SC is what you would expect to receive from your very best friend. I will never go to another pharmacy, and I will tell everyone how amazing both John and his wife truly are! The SC coast is lucky to have you both!

They might want to be there more often, you're in health care, you know to help people not stress them out, I'll never go back here ever again unless they hire someone who knows how to be a decent person, terrible just terrible, oh and don't ask any questions about your script apparently it is annoying to them.

I wish there was a less than one star rating. I am not typically a complainer but continual bad…read moreservice from a company that should be compassionate because the service they provide is at the heart of healthcare. When we moved to Litchfield 3 years ago we wanted to work with small businesses locally as we owned a small business in MD for 30 years. But the problem with this location of Pawleys Island Pharmacy is they are continually rude and disrespectful to those they serve over and over. We have had many instances working with them including the owner who totally stood me up when she set an appointment with me. Of all of the previous issues that were less than nice, this last time was the turning point for us to find pharmacy care elsewhere. I went to pick up 2 prescriptions after 2 very stressful dr appts with tough diagnosis'. When I drove up to the window, when they finally came to the window the women in the window just stood there and didn't say a word. When I told her who I was and that I had come to pick up 2 prescriptions she said there was only one ready and that the other I couldn't have. Of course I was confused and asked for an explanation and she yelled at me over the microphone and said "do you have that much cash on you and want to self pay? " I had no idea what she was talking about and instead of explaining she stormed off when I asked her to just give me the one that I could pick up. By this time I was all but in tears because of her and the day I had had so instead of more yelling I chose to leave with the single prescription and contact my doctor for more information. The next morning I called Pawleys Island Pharmacy at Litchfield and asked how to transfer all of my prescriptions because I would no longer be working with them. They told me to have the other pharmacy call them. So I called Publix and they had me in and out in 2 hours and were incredibly kind and the price was considerably cheaper. Shame on you Pawleys Island Pharmacy of Litchfield, you should do better for those folks you serve.
