I went in for what I thought was the flu. Did the online checking which is great. Waiting about an hour to be seen. Kevin who did the intake was very nice and sympathetic. And the physician was helpful in understanding syptoms and we were able to determine what I had together. Sinus infection. I happily received my shot and picked up my prescription they called in for and I feel much better. I will definitely use again as it's close to work and takes my insurance. read more

As soon as I walked in I was met with a scowl from a twenty something, curly haired, Hispanic female. I told her that I had an appt. She said, "did you fill out the paperwork"? (I didn't know that I had paperwork to fill out. I made an appt and immediately headed to the office. I didn't know I was texted paperwork.) I asked her if I could fill the paperwork out at the clinic and she literally rolled her eyes at me and sighed!! The female sitting next to her said that I could use a tablet, but I was already feeling uncomfortable so I said, "that's okay", walked away, and sat down to look at the link I was texted. No less than five minutes later a Hispanic male approached the counter and she was very pleasant greeting him and handed him the tablet to fill out his paperwork. She called my name and I said, "yes ma'am" and she ignored me. She called my name again, so I walked up to the counter. With a scowl on her face. she said, "it will be $45 up front". I said, "normally, my office visits are covered". She rolled her eyes at me again and said, "your insurance doesn't cover it". I said, normally it does so I'm confused, but okay and pulled out my card to pay. She rolled her eyes at me AGAIN and with an attitude said, "I'll call your insurance to verify". I literally said out loud to her, "WTF" and went back to my seat. I was already scared because my throat was so swollen I was struggling to get air through. Why the attitude for no reason? I was scared and she was so unreasonably rude. To be honest, I think she's racist. I watched over and over how the black and brown people in the waiting room and coming through the door were all pleasantly greeted. I did not get the same treatment. I was the only white person in the waiting room. She did verify with my insurance and I paid the $45. I waited for approximately one hour before being called back. The man that took my vitals was very pleasant and comforting as he could see I was scared. I waited for another 20 minutes before the female Dr. entered. She asked how I was feeling and felt around my neck and looked at my throat. She said, "I don't see anything or feel anything, It all looks normal". "My concern is that it is so far back there to where I can't see that I am afraid it will restrict airflow. You need to go to the ER". She said she would call ahead and have them waiting for me. That entire interaction with the Dr. was approximately 2 minutes. I left and went to the nearest emergency room. Long story short, they said my throat was very red and irritated and had white patches, and my lymph node on my left side was really swollen. I had blood work, Covid, flu, and strep testing and everything looked normal so they did an x-ray of my neck with contrast and everything looked great. They diagnosed me with pharyngitis and gave me a steroid injection. Within 30 minutes the swelling in my throat had gone down significantly, and I was breathing so much better. Hospitals are not fond of urgent care clinics. One nurse even asked, "why are they even a thing"? She said, "they don't do much and scare people unnecessarily, a lot". She also said, "if the doctor really was that concerned about your throat closing then she would have called an ambulance for you". When she looked in my throat she immediately saw the redness and irritation. I could not understand why the doctor at CareNow did not see it. I am extremely disappointed with my visit. I was treated terribly by a front staff member and not given adequate care from the doctor. I have been going to this clinic for more than 10 years, but my children and I will never step foot in this clinic again! I will tell all friends and family to avoid this place at all costs! I'm going to post the picture that I took of my throat. It's hard to get a good picture of your throat when you've got 25 people sitting around you, but you can clearly see my throat is red. I have had my house cat for more than 10 years. He's is very loveable. When I went to load him into the carrier for a vet visit, he scratched me on the hand. I had a reaction, and because I'm diabetic, I wanted to get it treated with antibiotics. They reported it to animal control and now my life is upside down. I'm looking at losing a loving, indoor cat, that I've had since he was a little kitten because the doctor reported it as an animal bite when I stated repeatedly it was NOT. This cat has not been outside a day in his life. He doesn't have rabies or any other transmittable disease. So lesson learned. If your loving pet scratches you and you want to seek treatment, LIE and tell them you got scratched while gardening or building something or whatever, but DO NOT tell them your household pet did it. read more

I went there a few months ago with signs of sinusitis and allergies after trying several otc treatments which didn't work. The NP who saw me was very rude and refused to offer any type of treatment or medications for my problem not even a steroid shot. That visit was a waste of my time and money. Care Now used to be very good but now they seem very reluctant to offer adequate medical treatments. I read recently that this business was sold to another health care organization and maybe this is why the medical care has turned subpar. I read that Texas Health is opening urgent care facilities in Tarrant so I think I'll try them the next time. read more

My husband walked in at 10:50 today, Thursday, and is now leaving almost three hours later having not seen anyone. He had to check in three times, and kept getting put off. Background: we never see doctors. It's been years since he's needed a doctor but has been so sick over the last 5 days with increasing symptoms he decided to do a walk in today. I did a walk in and they were not that busy. I then proceeded to wait for about 2 hours the doctor finally comes in and looks at me for probably about 2-3 minutes, tells me I have a sinus infection, and walks out. I took the medication for a week and did not get better in the slightest. I called back and they told me the doctor would call me. A day and a half later I get a call from one of the staff that isn't the doctor essentially telling me I need to come back in. They then said that of course I would need to pay again. Pretty sure the doctor misdiagnosed me because again she only looked at me for about 2 minutes. I'm sure they charged my insurance out the ass also. Would not recommend coming here. read more

Possibly the worst CareNow in the area.... Do not recommend. The doctor here had no idea what she was doing and panicked regarding my symptoms she referred me to the hospital ASAP, I tried telling her I was pretty sure I just had strep and needed an antibiotic but my test came back negative, so she strongly advised I go to the ER as soon as possible for a possible abscess. So I go to the ER as recommended, the doctor there could not understand why they said I needed to go to the ER immediately as I was having typical symptoms of strep not an abscess of any kind and the strep tests do sometimes issue false negative results but nothing warranting an ER trip. Due to her panic and lack of knowledge she ended up costing me $1000 for an ER bill that was unnecessary. read more

I came in due to an injured hand, I called the office to see if there was a wait time and ask if they were able to do X-Rays, I asked about the wait time she says there is none and before I could even ask the second question she HANGS UP on me!!! Recently went for strep throat on Sunday 10/02 with extremely swollen tonsils and Dr. Stethen did not provide me any antibiotics, instead a numbing mouth wash (that does not treat strep throat) he also stated I might have MONO or HIV. I found this extremely disrespectful and uneducated he also stated on my take home document I denied any HIV testing done at site which was false. Which I do NOT have. Recently went to a different doctor after this upsetting visit and as I knew I am strep throat positive. They provided antibiotics in a heart beat to treat the infection. Highly disappointed in the Dr. And his staff. Front young lady in desk was great and attentive. Other than that everyone else was not. First off, thank you to our health care workers... especially now while everyone is sick. Walked into Care Now at 9 this morning and finally got called at 6:45.... I am not upset about it because so many of these places are overrun with Covid, Flu and other sickness. Got right in and my vitals were taken immediately. Friendly but busy and tired staff. Apparently lots of people have been really rude and unfriendly to these hardworking employees, but that says more about them then Care Now. The staff was wonderful, polite, friendly and thorough. We went to the care now clinic in White Settlement on February 4th 2025 it was 8:04 in the morning and they opened at 8:00 a.m. no patience were sitting in the lobby . I was told by the receptionist that the weight would be 3 hours I would have to go home and then be called to come back , this is a walk-in clinic and I am a paramedic so I do understand medical triage but no one was in the lobby I was given no explanation . I left a review and the reply that came back was it is on a first come first serve basis and that sometimes walk-ins also have to wait when there's nobody in the lobby why am I told to go home and wait for 3 hours ? We left there drove directly to a freestanding ER Complete Care ER I was seeing diagnosed medicated and I was home by 11:30 a.m. diagnosed with a viral upper respiratory infection which I was wearing a mask when I went into care now and when I went into the free-standing ER. So if their care is first come first serve and no one's in the lobby and I came in first why am I sent home to wait for 3 hours . Like I said I'm a paramedic of 29 years . read more

I've been in this clinic few times and I feel the front desk never has a smile in their face. Today however after checking in online to speed up the process I got called within the first 10 minutes. Got the basics checked and now have been waiting for over 30 minutes in a room. I had to go to the front desk and ask if they forgot about me [UPDATE] Soon after I reminded them I got seen by a really nice doctor, I forgot his name. He was super straight forward on what could be done. Few days later CareNow called me for a follow up which was really nice. I still think the front desk is mainly the face of the clinic, first people we meet and get in contact with, improving customer service at the front door will make any other thing more understandable. read more

I came here for a routine drug screen for work. I'm giving them 3 Stars since it's Thanksgiving week and I'm feeling generous. I arrived just before 10am, and there were 3-4 people in the waiting area. They all went back, some got checked out and left, and in the mean time 5-6 others came in and several of those went to the back. At 10:40am spoke to the lady at the front desk to see if they forgot me, and she said that I would be the next one to go back. After 2 more people went back, I stood up to leave. Of course, that's when they finally called me back. Total wait time - 1 hour. Purpose of the visit - 2 minutes to pee in a cup and sign the paper. They seemed to get people in and out fast, if you do the online checkin. However, why do you make the guy with a full bladder wait for an hour when you know that the only reason he's there is to pee in a cup and then immediately leave? read more

I can honestly say, I have never been treated so poorly by a staff of "medical professionals" I use the term professionals very loosely. You seriously need to coach Emanuel (back office personnel) on professionalism, phone etiquette, and just basic bedside manner. I am sure he gets the same phone calls all the time so its easy for him to disassociate with a patient, but this was my first time being a patient there and having that illness, it wouldn't hurt for him to have a little more compassion when dealing with the patients that pay for him to be there. While running today I got bit by a dog. I don't have a primary care doctors so I come here for my medical needs which is typically sinus infections. There are open until 10pm on week days which was extremely convenient. I have the carenow app for web check-ins. I went through the process and they called right away to ask me some questions and said they were running 30 minutes behind to go head over to their facility. This facility is called the Fossil Creek center in front of a home depot next to Dairy Queens and Taco bell off the 35 frwy and Basswood. I Walk in and was greeted right away and giving the usual paper to fill out and sign. After only 15 minutes the nurse called me in and walked me to my room. The doctor showed up in about 15 minutes and said i'm getting a tetnus shot and antibiotics. I Left there around 10:30pm was treated extremely professional. Certainly my favorite place to go to get medical help. Also while I was at the emergency room the dog owner's husband called to see how I was doing and to send their deep apology. They are both lawyers and she is pregnant and had been very emotional all day after it happened. They offered to pay for all medical coast and everything. I Told them thank God this wasn't a little child. To me just getting that phone call was all that I needed. I also explained to him that if this ever happens to me with one of my fur babies that I hope the other person is as understanding as I was. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Scheduled a 6pm appointment Wednesday 2.15 didn't get in till 8:45pm. Went for severe congestion, cough and a severe head. They gave me headache meds and told me to take Sudafed. Never looked at my throat are test me for the flu, covid or strep. Thursday evening I had to be transported via ambulance with a severe case of covid. The past 2 times I went to this CareNow location it's been a complete waste of time and money. Always end up going somewhere else cause they do nothing but take your height and weight. I began feeling symptoms and decided I should test for CO-VID 19 as I am a teacher. The online scheduling allowed my visit to go quickly and my test was done with ease. My doctor was awesome. However, I am leaving 2 stars because I never received a call with my results. After checking the LabCorp patient portal I have been on hold trying to speak with someone for the last 30 minutes to discuss my results. Glad I chose to check the portal instead of waiting on their call and potentially spreading covid around! My husband hurt his head while working and got a deep wound yesterday. The doctor gave him the injection and said that "come back to me if you have a fever tomorrow " . My husband did have a fever the next day, so he went back to see the doctor today . The girl (with yellow and black hair) at the front desk had a very bad attitude and kept lying that the doctor would come to explain to us. He waited from the afternoon to the evening and never saw the doctor until they closed. And she kept saying that the fever had nothing to do with yesterday's injection, and she refused to provide any of the proof, only told us that my husband's case was ended yesterday, but my husband's wound has not recovered at all! Don't you know that his wounds needs continuous observation and treatment? Just using "the case is over" as an excuse to get rid of the real responsibility. When walking into the clinic, the front desk personnel were very helpful and took care of what was needed in a quick manner. I was put in a room promptly and was seen by Nathaniel Neal, PA. Wonderful professional and person. He took the time to talk to me, examine where it hurt and with a lot of knowledge gave me my options. When doing the procedure he was careful and kept me informed of everything he was doing. He was patient and very sympathetic to my pain. After the fact he made sure i was fine. This care now medical staff are absolutely wonderful. This has been a comforting feeling in a time of physical pain. The end result of such a great visit is that I am feeling great again, and its all because of PA Nathaniel and his staff Thank you sir.
