As I cannot afford the bill, they instructed me to apply for their financial assistance requiring pay stubs, bank account info, credit card info, student loan info and more from both me and my wife. After collecting all this info, they declined me for financial assistance. Regarding the actual services at the hospital, they were also quite poor. After my diagnosis, I has some questions and the doctor literally told me to "google it." If you ever are in excruciating pain, I guess just google your symptoms and save the $3000. I hope this place gets hit by a meteor.

I have been in pain for months, when i first arrived he did not even touch my shoulders and said there was nothing wrong with me and that i needed to start exercises. Once my family called them, then he claimed it would be a good idea for me to get an MRI, but never once mentioned this to me (I am an adult). I got an arthrogram and it came back clear. I went to see Dr. Winchester again for my follow up in which he still gave me no explanation for my pain and even accused me of faking it due to some other mental health issues I am facing. I called him out for claiming that i was embellishing my pain and he told me that working with him would not be a good fit and WALKED OUT ON OUR SESSION. I left with more pain than when I started and no answers.

His "hygienist", I don't think is an actual hygienist. She's a bit of a ditz and held my cheek open w/ her finger, picked something up of the floor and asked him if he needed it. He told her it'll have to be resteralized. She scared the living crap out of me w/ her lack of professionalism. He however, keeps her in line, guides her and gets her through it. He is clearly very knowledgeable and skilled. I think he is just a super nice guy and a really good old school dentist. Maybe she's his wife or sister in law or something. He did a great job on my crown. He doesn't price gouge, he accepts my shitty insurance, and genuinely wants to help people.

My…read moremain complaint is they have little 19 inch TV's in all the rooms, other than the people who have their own TV and have been there for a long time and have been Grandfathered in) which we all know how small that is and the sound of those are awful also. You would think that if you pay 4000.00 a month they would put in decent size TV's or would let you bring your own. Which they used to and now they have a different rule, you have to use theirs. We have talked to the director and she will not budge. This is not wanting special treatment this is a disability!! My mother wears hearing aids which one of her ears is basically gone anyway, and has macular degeneration and is legally blind in one eye and can't see well out of the other and she just can't see those 17 inch TV's good enough to tell what is going on, and the sound on those makes it so muffled. **** I just checked and according to the ADA Title III the nursing home has to accommodate her because of her vision impairment and hearing impairment which includes but no limited to acquisition or modification of equipment. Which would mean THEY would have to provide her a bigger TV which has a better sound , but she IS NOT ASKING for THEM to provide, she just wants her own bigger flat screen. But she is in excellent health besides those two things. Does everything for herself and the caregivers do not have to wait on her hand and foot like the others. You would think they could allow her this one pleasure in her last years. She is 96. Other than that she likes everything else about the nursing home. Everyone is nice and the food is good. But gosh New Haven Care Center spend some money on some quality things. I know that buying the quantity of TV's. you would buy they would be really cheap. So how about taking care of the older people and allow them some luxury, or allow those in NEED to furnish their own!! ADA TITLE III

They went the extra mile more times than I can count, including checking on my dad after hours when he didn't answer his phone and I was worried; advocating for him when he was hospitalized during COVID-19; and overseeing a team of 24/7 caregivers to ensure my father could age in place at home. On top of all of this, my father looked forward to their visits and considered them "friends."
