Subpar, no photos taken, lazy, arrogant, unprofessional, no integrity. Doesn't know how to be objective and truthful....let's not forget sloppy workmanship. Suggesting to cover a large gap between a fireplace and a wall caused by settling/structural issue rather than fix the problem...let's hide it instead. Don't waste your time, he needs to hang up his hat and go retire to Boca! read more

This place is an Absolute SCAM!!! Don't believe any of the good reviews- They will ROB you!!! He comes to your house, he tells you that YOU need to take the photos because he can't, and then says to email him. You email them and no results ... you ask where are the results and they say you need to pay first; you pay and then they say they never received the email. Over and over back and forth. You ask for a refund and some receptionist with some shrill, cringe voice and an attitude does everything she can to fight you while refusing to give you the refund. DONT GET SCAMMED! Stay far away! read more

I needed a structural engineering assessment and report for a home I am purchasing. Jeff came highly recommended from a friend, and it is obvious why. He was able to come out the next day, showed up on time, and did a thorough inspection of the foundation and roof. He is very knowledgeable and provided a detailed report on the next business day. His office staff was also very helpful. I would definitely hire Jeff again. read more

Turning everything over to someone else was not an easy decision. However, it worked out far better than we had ever envisioned. After getting five quotes, and speaking with five contractors, we chose Steve Hopps and "Old School." Steve showed genuine interest in making our kitchen beautiful and unique. While not the least or most expensive, Steve seemed to offer something none of the other contractors offered: professional craftsmanship and a concern to get it exactly as we dreamed it would be. Our choice proved to be perfect. In every step of the way, Steve was on target. When unforeseen issues turned up, Steve suggested solutions that were right on target. He worked closely with out cabinet company, the electrician, plumber, and flooring people. He also had a hand in all of these aspects to keep the work flowing smoothly. He worked quickly and efficiently. He explained what he was doing, and his workmanship is not just professional, but the work of a true craftsman. When tiling the backsplash, he even rotated tiles placing some in the best place for a better look and flow. Only an artist, a person with a deep love of perfection would do this. Steve Hopps did all of this for us. I would highly recommend Old World Remodeling to any one. Quality, affordability, craftsmanship, personability, and results are all 10s. After taking the initial payment, there was no meaningful delivery. I did not receive a single professional, usable artifact. Communication was inconsistent to nonexistent, with weeks and even months of silence. He stated he only works Saturdays and often said "my phone will start ringing," which clearly impacted delivery. In one exchange he became defensive and dismissive, which was unprofessional. If someone cannot manage time and communication, the outcome suffers--exactly what happened here. I had to terminate the engagement, losing time and money, and received no follow-up or accountability. I ignored my initial instincts and regret it. Think carefully before hiring.
