For insurance reasons, I had to leave my PCP whom I truly loved. Reluctantly, I chose Care Station because it was in-network. I understand they are affiliated with RWJBarnabas Health, but in my experience, the quality of care and operational standards are nowhere near what I have come to expect from RWJBarnabas. Someone at the corporate level should seriously look into what is happening at this organization. The wait times are outrageous, and today I was turned away from my appointment because their billing department failed to do their job. My insurance is active, but somewhere along the line an error was made--and instead of resolving it internally, the patient is being punished. I have tolerated what I consider to be a subpar office experience for far too long, and I intend to make my concerns known every step of the way until meaningful improvements are made. The front desk staff are often engaged in loud and inappropriate personal conversations, which is unprofessional and creates an uncomfortable environment for patients. Overall, this has been an awful experience. If I had another choice, I would not select this office or organization. read more

I visited the Care Station last Sunday for a battery of medical tests. The care that I had received from Annie, Nova, and Carlos was truly legendary. They took the time out to explain every procedure that I needed. Their bedside manners were absolutely amazing. The overall experience was very pleasant and of high quality. The wait was no long. First, I will start by saying the office managers, front desk staff, and Dr. Byalik are all absolutely amazing. Friendly, helpful, quick, and overall each visit is a good experience. The main issue (which is why I switched gynecologists) would be the because of the people that work for their call center. I left 10+ messages, spoke to 7 different people, and waited over 3 months to make a follow up appointment only for it to never actually get confirmed. The nursing staff and the doctor I saw were lovely and I have no complaints about the care I received once I was called in. That said, they have no idea what they are doing when it comes to insurance. The medical staff was the only reason this is a 2 star review instead of a 1 star. I came as a walk in for a COVID test and was told they couldn't see me because I have a PCP listed on my insurance card. I do NOT have an HMO and do not need referrals. The plan doesn't even require that I assign a PCP, I just happened to have done so at enrollment. In fact, my PCP had advised me to go to an urgent care ability instead of going to them for a test. They insisted that I needed to change my PCP to them in order to be seen, even for a test. The rep from my insurance agency had never heard of any of this before and backed up my claim that I can go to any doctor or facility that does any kind of medicine, even general internal medicine, without changing my designated PCP. But I had them remove the designated doctor, anyway, a change that would not be in effect for a month. I went back to the desk with the insurance rep still on the phone. They needed a reference number for the change. That's it. I checked with others I know who work in insurance and all agreed that this is NOT the way PPOs work, there is no reason they should have attempted to deny me care, and that they are just flat out wrong. I was made to jump through completely unnecessary hoops just to get a COVID test. They need to tighten up their game and actually speak to the insurance companies that they work with. Doctor visits are stressful enough without this added ridiculousness. read more

Took my daughter for a rapid test without an appointment, which we did not know to make despite calling and listening to their endless voice mail instructions. Were forced to wait almost 2 hours while everyone else who *did* have appointments went in. Got all the way to the exam room before someone bothered to chech our insurance, because they make you see a doctor first. Only then did they bother to inform us that our insurance would not allow them to give her a rapid test at all. We offered to pay out of pocket, and - WAIT FOR IT - were told they couldn't let us do that because they now knew we had insurance. Do not go to Care Station. Whoever is running it should be fired. The Medrite venue, which is literally right next door, isn't great but is immeasurably better than this place. read more

First off, they won't treat you past 4pm, even though their website says they are open to 6pm. We talked to someone at the door and she was super rude, and basically assumed that we didn't have insurance (when we did) and told us that she wouldn't be able to help us. All of their information on their website is inaccurate, I wouldn't trust this business to help you at all. Also, don't expect to get through on the phone. I've been a patient for over 10 years today maybe my last. A scheduled appointment for 4pm I arrived at 3:45 numerous walk ins arrived after me. It is now 4:45 and I'm still in the reception area. Scheduling is getting worse At least the RN and Dr are terrific it makes up for a lot But I'm still here from 3:45 and it's now 5:45 getting hungry my diabetes is making me woozy read more

I wish I could leave a zero star review as this has been the worst experience. Do not go here unless you want multiple tests run with no results, no follow up and a large bill that they will harass you over. After multiple messages, to follow up on the medication the provider prescribed. After the run around from the staff and no follow up. I'm left with a large bill, no medication, no care and again without a PCP. I will never be returning to this establishment. All they care about is money not about their patients. read more

They advertise on their website that they do rapid COVID-19 tests with results in 24 hours. When I tried to call and confirm, the recorded message on their phone line said the same thing. I drove almost an hour, told the person at the front desk that I was there for a rapid test, and was told to sign in and take a seat. After a few minutes in a fairly crowded waiting area I overheard a couple of other people come in and ask for the rapid test, only to be told that they were no longer offering it. I was waiting for them to clear out of the reception area so I could go ask about that when my name was called and I told the nurse why I was there. She said that they don't do rapid testing anymore because they send all tests put to a lab now instead of processing them in-house as advertised. I asked about their other locations and was told none of them do rapid testing anymore, contrary to what's on their website and phone message. So not only did I waste time and money driving there, I was also made to wait in a room with other possibly-infected people when I could have been sent on my way as soon as I walked in. After I got home I looked at their Facebook page thinking maybe they might have more up-to-date info on social media. Not only are they still advertising rapid testing there, they posted about it this afternoon, AFTER I was told they don't offer it anymore. It's one thing to not update a website but to actively post false information about a pandemic while people are desperate to find testing is absolutely despicable. read more

I appreciate the effort to my comments addressed by the Care Station Springfield below....but this is not the first time and in recent years it has happened to myself and to other family members far too frequently as well. Like I said....beware they don't adhere to scheduled appointments and the attention by the staff (besides my initial nurse who did awesome) after I walked out of the room and stood at the station after a 45 minute wait is common. Do not go here: I called the business before going because my partner was in severe pain due to a herniated disk. I called to 100 percent confirm that after doctor assessment, if they confirmed my partner (who is a nurse) that we would be in position to quickly follow up for imaging services at the same site. Unknown to me, the person that answered the phone and said they were at that particular location , confirmed X-ray and ultrasound equipment onsite there on Route 22 location FLAT OUT lied. That part of there business was closed. It was a 2 hour wait with only 2 people in the waiting room. The answering service is based in India and lies about services available to get you there in the office , then refer you out to other facilities that you should have gone to in the first place. My significant other is in the medical field and was disgusted at the level of service, dishonesty, lack of professionalism, and inability to handle a patient pipeline of 2 people in 2 hours. I rarely write reviews and this is my first one in a long time, but I was compelled to ensure that everyone considering going to this place BEWARE there is a reason you see nothing but 1 stars in the ratings. Don't come here if you need a covid test. It's the nasal version, the results take several days to get back (not helpful AT ALL as I need to go back to work), and I had to pay a co-pay??? And if you want your results they don't send them to you, they don't alert you that they're in... no. You have to go on their website, create a profile with a login and password, and just keep checking back several times per day to see if your results are in. Why would anyone do this? Save yourself a bunch of time and a few bucks and get tested at the free pop up sites around Union county. Results in 24 hours, $0. This is ridiculous. read more

I've been going to this place for medical care for a long time but they don't seem to care about their patients anymore. This is the second time Ive had to wait for over 2 hours and still hadn't seen anyone. I just ended up leaving because I feel sick and miserable and just want to go home and sleep. I don't understand why they would treat their patients this way. Update. It's been over 3.5 hrs. I came here at 12:15pm and now I will have to drive thru rush hour traffic to get home. read more

Although front desk were absolutely kind and respectful, the nurses inside were insanely rude!!!! I have been to the Springfield Care Station three times over the past two weeks for initial and follow-up treatments of some finger lacerations, having received excellent care and attention from everyone I had contact with. The receptionists, physician's assistants, X-ray technician and Doctors have been attentive, friendly and professional each of the times I have gone there. On my initial visit, I was a walk-in patient and after being checked in, I only waited about 10 mins before being seen by the P.A. to have my vitals taken. Once in the examination room, my injury was immediately tended to by the Physician's Assistant and Doctor. From start to finish, my experience took approximately an hour and a half, which included X-rays and 11 sutures. My two follow-up visits were just as pleasant, however the waiting room was busier and my wait times were a bit longer despite having an appointment. All in all, I am glad I chose Care Station and would not hesitate to return here for treatment. My thanks to the entire staff. JC read more

The Care Station definitely doesn't want me as a patient anymore. I have been coming here for over 20 years. The doctors who have been my primary physician all have left the practice. The front end people don't seem to know what there doing, vert dismissive when you ask a question. I came for a covid test waiting for 2 1/2 hours so far. Last time I was here left me in the examination room for over an hour (I believe that they forgot I was in there) Dr. finally shows up ask me a couple of questions then leave. No examination. Losing Dr. Sundarum was huge. I will not go back. I tried, was given the run around for 1.5 hours and finally left...scheduled appt. Waiting a week for manager to get back to me. I called to make an appointment for an 11 year old. He needs a strep test to determine if his throat hurts from allergies or strep. Care Station made more excuses as to why they could not see him. Under age 13? Aren't most kids with strep are under 13. They are making more money on Covid testing so why bother with strep. read more

Worst place I had ever been to. Waited over 40 min to see the doctor. But the doctor totally took less than 5 mins on everything. Does not tell me before I come to do blood work but forced to drain blood onsite. Drained 2 tubes of blood without telling me what test they are going to run. They runs all the unnecessary tests without telling you even they know the insurance will not cover. And later on, they send you bills and asked you to pay everything off. This is Fraud. The doctor Ali Mansour is very un-professional. He just looks at my 6 month ago blood work and diagnosed that I might have fatty liver and forced me to do a liver ultrasound immediately. How come the previous doctor which also from this care station office never say a word about this issue. And later on my new blood work results came out everything is just fine. They try to push everyone visit the place to take all kinds of unnecessary diagnose tests to earn money. Stay away from them! read more

Horrible. Malpractice. My wife had ear pain, and the "doctor" looked in her ear and said she had an infection. After antibiotics failed to alleviate the pain, my wife then saw a real ENT, who removed a deep wax plug. The quack at Carestation didn't even pay attention to what he was looking at. He "looked" in her ear and did not notice a deep wax plug completely blocking the ear canal. We are going to sue. read more

Worst medical facility I Have ever been to. I was told to call for my test results 3 days ago and keep getting told someone will call me back. On my third attempt, they advised someone tried calling and it was the wrong number. I confirmed they had the right number and there was no attempt to call me. I was told I needed to understand the doctors see patients all day. Hello?! I am a patient too. I have never had to chase down my own results and this is a poor way of managing a medical practice. If I could give 0 starts I would. Not only did we wait 3 hours to be seen but the unprofessionalism of the doctor and staff is really unbelievable. We went in for two PCR tests after being denied the rapid due to an insurance policy. We go into the room and the doctor asks us some questions and said we were all set. After a few minutes went by I realized that doctor Ahn assumed we had been swabbed already. When I went to speak to a nurse about it he overheard me and said "well why didn't you said anything?" "Communication is a thing you know." He wants to talk about communication? How about he communicates with this staff before walking in to a patients room? Absolutely HORRIBLE and unprofessional. Then we get swabbed and when I confirmed that we were getting the PCR she says no this is for the rapid.. it's clear that they have no clue what goes on in this facility. This place is a mess! I came here for covid testing just to wait longer than 3 hours, after i was told the wait is 1 1/2 hours. On top of that, i had to have another conversation with another visitor to find out the doctor is running late. Now if these unprofessional secretaries knew this information, why not disclose this information to everyone waiting. You would think because it's in West Orange, they would be a little more professional but i guess not. Honestly from the doctors down lack serious customer service! Sadly i wish i had read the reviews of this place before going and i would have never wasted my time. I'm not a person who reviews by any means so that's how you know it's bad. First off after i signed in i was told i would receive a call shortly. I come in after waiting 2.5 hours and ask if if i have an update and they lady in front tells me "i told you it was a 3 hour wait" which i was not told at all so after waiting another hour i was called in and had my swab done. After waiting another hour i left because It was just ridiculous. Soon after i get a call claiming if i don't return they are going to throw away my swab and not give me my results. At this point this place is a joke i returned a while later and got my results a few days later. The next time i went there and got tested again with an appointment, i had to wait 2.5 hours before i was called in and it's been 5 days and no results back. They didn't send portal instructions after they claim they did twice. You'll never get through on the phone. All in all steer clear of this place at all costs between the staff and punctuality it's a headache. read more

Strange facility, they make appointments with specific doctors, that are never there. When you say something they look at you like your the moron. You make an appointment, yet you wait for hours. This place should be shut down. The receptionist refused to process us for treatment for my wife for a bladder infection. They said they could not tell what kind of insurance I have hmo or ppo and i gave them the id card. That said I am supposed to know. This place is garbage. Every time an appointment is made and confirmed, I get a call saying it has to be rescheduled due to the doctor being unavailable. Given, the call to let me know it needs to be rescheduled is far before my appointment, giving me time to rework my schedule - calendar. Now I take a day off of work to make the new rescheduled appointment, and they never wrote it in their computers so I'm turned away and told to make another appointment. Went to care station when I caught my fingers on my garage door. They took me in right away the staff and doctors where very friendly and attentive despite some people tell me they were horrible there by like every other doctors office or hospital I have been to there is always a wait. The ladies up front tried their best to rush my paperwork since they saw I was bleeding and in pain. Will def come here again if needed. read more
