Northridge Veterinary Center has taken care of everything: her vaccines and rabies shots, spay procedure, annual check- ups, and even boarding her when I travel. The staff is always so kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring. Not just toward my dog but towards me as well. They communicate clearly, answer any questions I may have, and always make me feel confident that my dog is in good hands. It is such a comforting feeling knowing she's being cared for by people who are not only knowledgeable but also truly happy to be there. I am so grateful for the love and attention they've given her over the years. HIGHLY RECOMMEND The only downside is that they can be a bit on the pricey side, but the quality of care and peace of mind they provide makes it worth it for me.

We had a wonderful experience with Northridge with our English Bulldog and her journey with cancer…read more So when we adopted another dog, we took her to Northridge. One morning she had a medical episode that was an absolute emergency. I called the vet to rush her in and was told I could bring her in within 30 minutes. (Yea - you need an appointment in an emergency.) After about 20 minutes of evaluation, I was told to take her to the Auburn ER. It was 10am. And Auburn ER is an hour away. I DESPERATELY with I had questioned this because it was only 10am and my dog was in medical distress and Auburn is a long drive. She died on the way. I took her into Auburn ER anyway. And they looked her body over and said they believe she had anaphylactic shock. Which is treatable by a vet. So they asked me multiple times who sent me and why did they send me all the way to Auburn? Insinuating that my vet should have recognized the symptoms and treated her. This was a traumatizing experience. And I daily ask myself why didn't I question driving that far with a dog in medical distress. We have taken our new dog to our previous vet. Who in a situation with one of our English Bulldogs, chose to evaluate her for several hours before sending me to Auburn, only because heart issues are a specialty.

Our older dog Franklin needed two separate lateral sutures to fix his torn ligaments in his knees…read more One in September when he hurt the first one which went fantastic no complications. Then the second one went (there was an 85% chance this would happen we were told) and they got Franklin in to see the doc the same day he was inquired to diagnose. Two days later he was set for surgery. Our family has seen Dr. Wally for year and year for many animals Great Grandma down to us. We had never worked with Dr. Harris before but I have to say after what happened Dr. Harris and her team WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO SAVE OUR POOR BOY! Franklin is an older dog and his heart stopped on the operating table. Dr. Harris was able to get his heart back started but then he was not breathing on his own. I assumed the worst possible brain damage, pain, and death. Dr. Harris told me on the phone as soon as it happened and we had to make some tough decisions. Since he was NOT breathing on his own my wife and I wanted so badly to save him but if he is in pain and not breathing on his own he thought it was time to end his suffering while he was still under anesthesia so he would not feel anything more. Dr. Harris explained to us the options for his body and my wife and I said our good byes to Franklin over the phone since no one though he would live long enough for us to make it to the clinic. I was literally on the phone with the receptionist after coming to terms with his passing and arranging the type of urn we wanted his ashes to be put into when I was put on hold. They came back in a few minutes and told me Franklin was STABLE!!! I rushed up to the clinic as fast as I could and Dr. Harris and her team let me back into the operating room to see him. Franklin was still under anesthesia and Dr. Harris said they wanted to try to flush his system with fluids to see if he would wake up once the anesthesia was out of his system. Dr. Harris said he would need overnight monitoring and that their clinic is not equipped for that. They gave us options on who to call but the only location who could help was Auburn Emergency and they wanted $4,000-$6,000 for the overnight monitoring. As much as we wanted to save Franklin we just flat out cannot afford that cost for a "maybe he lives" situation. Dr. Harris and her team worked with us and offered to keep Franklin at their clinic where a tech would stop in a few times during the night to check on him. We were very appreciative of their understanding and this accommodation offer. We elected to just take Franklin home that night since we could not afford the Auburn Emergency overnight and we felt that if Franklin was alone in a kennel he would be much happier (even if he passes away during the night) at home in his bed. Dr. Harris and her team were so unbelievably compassionate and helpful during this process. They worked so hard and did every single thing possible to save our sweet boys life. He made it thought the night without the need for fancy overnight monitoring and we hope he will live longer but even just the one extra night with Franklin that we thought we would never have was worth it.

At 100 lbs the cost would have been 100.00 cheaper. For any pet that is over 100 lbs another 100.00. This is robbery. I am tired of places charging outrageous prices. It's not like I walked in off the streets, I have been going there for a while. And paying the full amount every time. It's time for people to stand up and say no. There are many choices out there. I have had two occasions where I had to take two of my babies to Auburn and for the ones that have been there, you know the cost. I don't mine paying for my babies to be taken care of. I feel they deserve what they charge. No one else has been so professional and helpful. Summerville Animal Hospital, I am very dissatisfied and I feel someone needs to review your menu.

I took my dog in for a checkup, and the vet told me that my boy had an arrhythmia. She then told me that she didn't feel comfortable prescribing him medication until he was seen by a specialist. Totally understandable! After the vet left our room the vet tech came in with her as they were discharging us. The vet tech said that Dr.Cain should start us on a heart med. I was very concerned about this, as I had never heard of a vet tech prescribing medication. But the Dr.Cain just kind went along with it after the vet tech brought up that "it wouldn't hurt" Mind you I asked if I could record the findings as I tend to miss things that are said so I have ALL of this recorded. I called the next day after my dog had serious side effects and to to ask about the medication. The receptionist put me on hold and talked with the owner. She came back and said that Misty (the owner) said to NOT give that to him as it would not give us clear results when we got in with the cardiologist in a few weeks. I am very upset that my dog was given medication without a proper diagnosis. NOT EVEN DIAGNOSED AND THEY ARE GIVING OUT MEDS. In addition, the receptionist was very rude and unpleasant. She made me feel like I was an inconvenience when i just have my pets best interest at heart as I should. I would not recommend Tigertown Veterinary Hospital to anyone!

HOWEVER, I JUST HAD THE CRAZIEST EXPERIENCE AND WILL NEVER RETURN AND WILL URGE OTHERS NOT TO... here's why: A couple days ago my cat was bitten by a snake. His leg was swelling in front of my eyes and he personality changed quickly. I called the office right as they opened about thirty minutes later. They said with snake bites I would need to bring him in urgently due to the quick decline it can cause. I was concerned about price and she stated they don't do payment plans and said to try care credit but drop him off and we would figure it out. So that's what I did. I tried care credit and it was a no which was no surprise. I'm a full time healthcare student and mom. I received a phone call from the veterinarian who said they needed permission to start antivenom therapy and fluids etc, I said YES and explained again that I was trying to figure out the finance aspect she said it's fine we will deal with it at the front when we know what we are looking at and that the cat would usually stay overnight for observation so I would have a little more time to get whatever the cost was together. After I picked my son up from school, I went by to see the status and they said my cat was responding well and no complications and the price was $554. Okay, so realizing they were trying to release him right then I was panicking because I still haven't had enough time to have the response from the people who were going to pitch in to get the cat paid for. The woman in the back office came out and instead of calmly trying to understand that I just needed until the next day (which was what was eluded that morning) she used a humiliation tactic in front of the people in the waiting room and her staff. Things she said such as, "did you even have intentions on paying?" And scoffed at me. And I was trying to explain that I just needed a little bit to figure it out. She was very pushy and probing and so I had started getting emotional knowing that she was clearly treating me like I was a scumbag of the street. She asked that I call and speak to only her in the morning and I asked her if she was going to be as rude because if so I don't want to speak to her. She got very offended and visibly was shocked that someone would call her out. She got huffy and I was trying to dismiss her and she said things "do I tell her (pointing at receptionist) that she won't get her check because you can't pay" which is bad business and could get illegal. "Do you have a check we can just change the date?" Which is illegal. And through all of this she exclaimed that she was the owner like it was supposed to make a difference. Then she told me other clinics would call the police and press charges for theft of services. Absolutely ridiculous and such a disgrace of a woman. Like I anticipated, the next day I paid and got my cat and the medical records for my husky and my feline and will not be returning. What an embarrassment to caring for animals. Insensitive, rude, and disgusting. I wouldn't want my penny OR A FRIENDS BORROWED PENNY going to support this woman's place of business And after sharing the experience amongst my class one of my classmates knew the exact person I was speaking of. Kelly the owner. She shared some horrific stories on how the employees are screamed at and treated. I couldn't help from realizing that this woman is in the wrong field and she treats everyone like shit.

Instead he said she was currently taking care of their toddler and couldn't talk to me. I asked if it was a bad time and offered to come back another time, and he said no and told me I had an attitude. I just wanted to explain how I wanted my dog's hair to be cut to the groomer and not to a man that I didn't know. I left my dog there and didn't even go pass the end of the road before I decided to take my dog back home because I had a gut feeling my dog wasn't safe. When I got back I over heard him talking about me and he said "that girl's fu**ing dog!" ... soon after I was thankful the groomer was there so I could talk to her. However she proceeded to yell at me too! She said she wasn't unable to even change her toddler's dirty diapers. I guess it was because she had to come cut my dog's hair :( ... also the owner was in the middle of bathing my dog when I came to get him back. He said I had to pay for his bath. I've taken my dog there 2 times before and never saw or met her husband. Yes the place is kind of dirty and I did see roaches, but she did a good job and the price was really cheap so that's why I went. I even went another time and they were closed. Nobody ever called me to let me know they were closed. It's a good 20 minute drive for me and I was late for work. Because I'm patient and forgiving, I went back this last time. Will never be going there again because of the way I was treated. Rude, unprofessional, poor communication, dirty, and roaches. Keep that in mind if you're considering going to A Puppy Parlor.
