Why would it be any different for food trucks? Don't let this run-down looking RV sway you. The food is top notch and the husband/wife team that run it do it very well. She's from Jamaica and she knows how to cook. He's not and he runs the cash register. The first half a dozen times that I ate at Jamamerican Jerk, I couldn't stray from the Curried Chicken. I love everything about this meal. First of all, the Styrofoam to-go box that it is served in weighs like a bajillion pounds and still only costs $8.50. I don't know of anywhere else that you can get so much food for so little. The meal consists of a hefty chicken thigh and leg, white rice, coleslaw, and corn on the cob. The chicken is so moist and tender that it just falls off of the bone. The corn is cooked ahead of time so it can be a little chewy, but it's still spicy and delicious. I'm not a huge coleslaw fan, but I eat it and I don't dislike it. I strayed last night from my beloved curried chicken, and while it was good, I had regret. I ordered the jerk pork. It was also reasonably priced and was served with beans and rice. I devoured the beans and rice. Needless to say, that will be added to my ordering repertoire. The pork was plentiful and stayed consistent with the large portions that I expected. It was juicy and tasted fantastic. Here's my beef...or pork...or beef with the pork: I don't mind having to trim meat, but when it's served with plastic silverware and in styrofoam, I'd prefer to keep that to a minimum. Not in a snobby way, it's just a pain that I'd rather not deal with. I've tried the potato salad and it's good. It's weird because it's served warm and looks more like lumpy mashed potatoes, but it tastes traditional. The jerk chicken taco boats are tasty, but seem to be the least bang for your buck on the menu.

You'll love it. Oh, and get a festival too. Best described as a cornmeal vanilla donut..I could have eaten hundreds of these little guys. oh it's good!

We arrived late, the owner of the food truck was getting ready to leave; however, when we expressed our interest in placing an order, he kindly waited for us. My husband and I had the Billy Cheesesteaks - they (including the sides) were absolutely delicious! Our friends got the spicy humus (habanera humninus) with chips and the cajun chicken and we were all licking our fingers by the time we wolfed down our meal. The meat platter was loaded with juicy, well-seasoned cuts that made it a challenge to finish in one sitting, though I happily tried. Empanadas were crisp and flavorful, and the sides tied everything together nicely. Portions are generous across the board, so you definitely leave feeling satisfied. This is a place to come hungry and curious, because every dish feels like a little celebration of Colombian flavors.

The service is amazing and the staff is very friendly. Gives you a family owned feeling. We started with the Papusa's. So fresh and tasty. The masa was delicious and they were very cheesy. I could've ate this for the entire meal. I had the fried chicken on top of plantains covered in cabbage and tomatoes with salsa and drenched in a fantastic tangy crema. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Jacob had the same as I, but with beef. The ground beef was so tasty. I could eat here every week. I have never had Honduran food before, so I don't know if I can say the following statement. But, I felt like grandma was in the back making a real authentic family meal.
