Although I have not used this firm's services, I did meet with them to get an idea of their services and what they could do for me and I was not overly impressed. First of all, when I asked them why they felt they were experts in the area of cross border investing, their answer was that the CEO was married to an American and also one of the other partners was married to an American. Since when does being married to someone make you an expert in something?? I was also suspicious when they told me that I did not meet their minimum requirement, but they were going to help me anyways because my needs seemed to be more on "the organizational than on the planning side". Overall, I felt that if I am going to trust someone to manage my money, they better be able to demonstrate that they know what they are doing and that they will go the extra mile to meet your requirements. They advertise themselves as "fiduciary advisors", which means they are supposed to act in your best interest, but somehow, I did not get the impression that they were going to do that. read more
