Unreliable, unprofessional, and overpriced. I was a customer for 2+ years and the last 6 months were terrible. If you want to pay $300+ for one hour of cleaning on any day or time that Cardinal chooses each week, then you've found the right business. Here's the last cleaning I had with them: less than 24 hours before my scheduled cleaning they canceled and asked if they could reschedule for the following week (if a customer cancels within 24 hours, they charge $50, but if they do it, no discount for the customers' inconvenience). I asked if they could find another crew and sometime sooner than a full week later. The next morning I saw a crew had been scheduled on my account and my credit card had been charged even though I never heard back so I contacted them and they told me they couldn't find anyone that day and it would be Monday at 1:30/2:00. I said okay. On Monday at 11:40, they tell me they'll be there at 12:10 -- they don't even ask if they can come earlier, they just assume that someone is home and waiting to adjust to their schedule -- I can't imagine they would have accommodated me if I had called and told them they were coming an 1.5 early with 30 mins notice because my schedule had changed. I ask them to wait until 12:30 so we can make sure someone is home. They come, and they're in and out in an hour. 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, kitchen, dining room, family room, living room, 2 sets of stairs....in an hour. The next week they contact me to let me know my previous cleaner has quit, and their prices are going up by 50%. I don't know if there was a change in ownership this year, but this unfortunately wasn't an unusual or out of the ordinary experience with them from the last 6 months. read more

I hired Cardinal Maids for a move-in cleaning. I figured that going for a flat-rate service would provide ample time to pay extra attention to the few things in my empty house that needed it. However, the three items - bathtub, backsplash and cabinets (for which I paid an extra fee) - were poorly cleaned and I had to do them myself later after all. I called and received a refund on the cabinet cleaning fee. In regards to the backsplash, I was told that wasn't something they typically addressed depending on total time spent in the residence. To reiterate, it was an empty space so there really wasn't much else to do in the residence. It really ended up feeling like I paid $150+ for someone to mop and vacuum my floors. Not a good value, do not recommend. read more

Hired them for a move in cleaning. We discussed a few special areas that needed attention. They were poorly cleaned an had to be done myself. They did not bring any step ladder so they stated they couldn't clean ceiling light fixtures. read more

I'll try them again at least once more to see if they're better but my deep clean apartment service was pretty good overall. I understand mopping is hard on my old wood floors but unsure what was done that made the clean "deep" for the extra fee as it wasn't my baseboards. The organization, surface cleaning of counters and my stove and bathroom was good! The team was requested to be punctual but was over half an hour late so I went to work and then had to leave work to let them in my place. The two women were friendly. There were a couple paper towels and cleaning disposable sponges left on my coffee table and in the kitchen. Total for deep clean for two bedroom apartment was about $190. There was no mechanism for me to tip the cleaners. read more

Can't express enough how horrible of a service this was. Very disappointing as the customer service team and booking process was great, but the cleaning itself was unprofessional, rushed, and horribly done. Considering this was over priced compared to other services and I paid for a deep clean - I truly cannot believe how unclean my house still is. Not only that, but when the maids were here, they only cleaned things I had to point out to them - doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of hiring a cleaner? Despite what they had listed on their website of what would be automatically included in a deep clean, essential things were not done like vacuuming and dusting. Don't even bother with add ins as they barely clean basics and it drives up the cost. Unbelievably terrible read more

We are so happy that we decided to get house cleanings with cardinal maids. It is such a treat to come home to a clean house and not have to spend time on it. Our cleaner does an excellent job and gets all those little details that really put it above and beyond. Would recommend! read more

I signed up for a deep clean and a recurring cleaning after that. Both have been great so far. Great value for these great self starters.

I have had them for a year. The first team was very good (but left the company), the second team had issues, but management worked with me and eventually assigned a third team who are really great! Their rates are competitive with other cleaning services and the office manager is very attentive. Also, over the year NOTHING has been broken (a frequent problem with cleaning services) and everybody is extremely honest. read more

Cardinal Maids has been my home cleaning service for several months now. My work schedule changes weekly and sometimes daily, as I am an "as needed" employee. C.M. works with me adjusting to my schedule. They do so patiently and kindly. I have now enjoyed the services of 2 of their teams. Both teams (usually 2 people) are kind to my 70 pound energetic and curious dog, Daffodil. They both set to work, efficiently and quietly, turning my dusty home into a clean, calm place of peace. I so appreciate Cardinal Maids. 5 Stars Y'all!! read more

My spouse and I decided for Christmas to get a deep house clean for each other, and man, it may have been the best gift ever. There were two professional young ladies who arrived promptly on time at 9:30am (and sent a text reminder when they were on their way). They scrubbed the entire house until after 12:30pm. They did not miss a single spot! I don't know how the two of them accomplished so much, even though they were here for a while, it is very impressive. We are extremely pleased and our house looks almost brand new (which is saying a lot, it was built in 1899). This is our first house cleaning, we don't usually spend money on things like this, but it was well worth the cost and we are talking about making it an annual thing. Highly recommend Cardinal Maids read more

Moved out of our apartment and were at the end of our 'coping rope'. Cardinal Maids did a post-move deep clean that was AMAZING! I was shocked when I opened the door to pick up some items that had been left behind; place looked better than when we moved in. Super kind people who did fabulous work. read more

I started working with Cardinal Maids for move in cleaning during more high Covid times. They were wonderful. It is now 9 months later and I'm a biweekly customer! Scheduling is easy. Response is wonderful and friendly and the cleaning teams are professional and high quality. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM! read more

Cardinal maids are great! I love the conscience of flat fees based on the size of the house, online booking, easy text confirmation and the ability to customize each session with add ons. The cleaners did a great job, we definitely recommend them! read more

I am so satisfied with their service!!!! I had a last minute request and they came right away. The tenants who moved out left the apartment an absolute mess but Cardinal Maids was able to clean most of the disgusting gunk. The owner is very easy to contact, payment is easy, and service is quick. I'll definitely be telling my friends to use this service. read more

I loved my appointment with Cardinal Maids -- I booked a one-time cleaning, and plan on using them again soon! Booking was incredibly easy. I requested a time, the manager texted me to let me know that while that time wouldn't work, there was another available. On the day of the appointment, the team arrived right around their 9:30am time. Melissa asked to have a look around the house so they could make sure they saw everything up front, and asked me if I had any particular parts or jobs that I wanted them to focus on (for me, dusting is my nemesis -- and they definitely handled it well!). She and Rachel were efficient and thorough, and left my house sparkling clean. My husband and I are happy days after with the cleaning job they did. It felt so good to have this done for us, and free up several hours of free time! My only question is something that popped up when I was booking-- though there is flat rate, transparent pricing on the website, which is great, there is also a "tip" option when booking. I've only ever used independent house cleaners in the past who had an all-inclusive, no tip policy, so I'm not quite sure how this should work when working with a company. This team worked hard, and I hope they are being compensated well -- personally I'd rather have that built in to the flat rate, but if not, an option to tip after the service would be helpful. read more

I hired Cardinal for a move-in clean at my new house and a move-out clean at my old house. Money well spent! Both times, the teams called to tell me they could come early and arrived right when they said. They did an awesome job, especially for the move-out clean. The online scheduling platform is also extremely useful whereas some other companies require you to submit an inquiry and cannot guarantee a time/day until they call to contact you. Very much would recommend! read more

Good service! Arrived on time and cleaned the house thoroughly. Would recommend them to anyone needing a cleaning service.

It's really easy to book online, & they have straightforward pricing that made clear exactly how much I'd be paying & for what. My first time booking, I also found a $30-off Groupon, which brought down the cost a little - though I knew it would absolutely be worth the full price. The morning of my first appointment, two cleaning ladies arrived a little bit before their scheduled time of 10:30am. They even called me to tell me when they were on their way! I was afraid it might be awkward that I'd be there the whole time, working from home, but they told me they'd clean my office last so that I could work throughout their cleaning. I put on a headset to take my morning call, & I mostly couldn't hear the vacuuming at all. The whole thing only took about an hour. They dusted, swept & mopped the floor, scrubbed the sinks & shower & toilet, & even took out the trash. When they were done, I stood in my living room & basically just twirled around like a princess in love with her castle. Everything was so freaking sparkly-clean. There were no tumbleweeds of cat fur blowing in the ceiling-fanned breeze, no jam-like residue tracked in from the mulberry tree in our front yard, no slivers of carrots & onions on the kitchen floor that sometimes escape my fiance's cooking creations. It was like our home was a hotel. Truly, I can't explain how happy I was to stand barefoot on a freshly vacuumed rug, sunlight streaming through the windows, & take in this spotless apartment. This is an expense I'm happy to pony up for. Because that kind of happiness? Well, it turns out you can buy it, after all. read more

Melissa, Stephine, and Nicole were absolutely amazing this morning! Melissa was very communicative before they arrived which was nice. The three of them went to work on my house and it's best service I've ever had! I set this up for reoccuring because it is 100% worth every single penny! Thanks girls, you guys! 100 Stars! read more

I needed to have a house cleaned and ready for the realtor to list it and be ready for showing it. The kitchen and bath's really need a good thorough cleaning. Called up and got an appointment the next day. Ashley and Maddy did an awesome job. Very personable and professional. We went over what needed to be done and they got right to work. By the time I had finished running some errands they were done. Went through the house and it was perfect! Thanks ladies you did a wonderful job. Would definitely recommend them and book them again read more

Great service . Easy to use, excellent website for scheduling and the company is very good at being in touch throughout the whole process which I loved . They recently cleaned my daughters house and worked around her twins naptime --adjustments were made on the spot and communication was straightforward and very much appreciated. I was not satisfied with the service I received from this company. I'm writing this in attempt to save someone time and money. I went with this company because of the positive reviews, but I had a negative experience. When I look and see both maids on the phone the entire time, I knew it would be bad. Don't bother is my recommendation. read more

After doing extensive research on different cleaning services, my findings kept leading me back to Cardinal Maids and I'm glad they did! From the initial ease of online booking and pricing to the final result, I was thoroughly impressed and satisfied. All questions I had ahead of time were answered in a timely fashion and I never felt like I was bugging them. When they did arrive they were very methodical in their approach and were very quick. Although don't confuse quickness with sloppiness! Every room was left spotless and the attention to detail they gave the kitchen was admirable. Initially this was meant to be a one time thing as a gift for my wife, but now I can easily see us going back and using them time and time again. I'd like to thank Adam, Kelsey and her team for all the hard work and professionalism and can't recommend Cardinal Maids enough! read more

Kelsey and Angie did a great job. Very friendly and constantly checked in with me to see if everything looked ok and up to my standards. Would absolutely hire them again! read more

Folks that came were nice, but they were late. Did an ok job, but nothing special. Worth it if you can't clean yourself, but otherwise, you'll probably do a better job yourself in not much more time. That said, it was very convenient to be able to book on line. read more

I surprised my mom with a cleaning of our house for Christmas and she loved the results! From the moment I booked there was thorough communication leading up to my appointment which was a nice touch. The maids showed up a few minutes early and got right down to business. They were very courteous to my mother and I, and also had no problem with our large dog. The bathrooms and kitchen looked so much better by the time they left. They even managed to remove the pet hair which was a big plus!!! I would not hesitate to book Cardinal Maids again. Since I typically live out of town, I showed my mother their website and even she (not the most tech savvy) was able to set up a future appointment. read more

We had great service with Cardinal! We needed an emergency cleaner come in before our wedding and everything was seamless. It was such a relief to come home from the honeymoon to a clean house! read more

The staff was very friendly and It was super convenient to book online. But with that being said, they only did an Okay job. What was really lacking was the thoroughness that I expect from hiring professionals. There were spots on the floor that weren't mopped, the sink handles had cleaner left on them, the shower still had spots of shampoo on the tile, etc... I had to go back and do those things myself. So if you are in a pinch and need a quick clean up they are fine, but you'd be better served to hire another company or do it yourself. read more

My wife and I engaged Cardinal to help out our elderly parents keep up with the house as they deal with some health issues. Cleaners are always pleasant and thorough. We are in Virginia so being able to schedule through the website and coordinate by email is a big benefit. read more

My roommates had left our apartment a bit of a mess so we definitely needed a cleaning service and Cardinals Maids did a great job. I liked being able to book online for the sake of convenience and was able to find a date relatively soon. The two women who came to clean the place were friendly and made the apartment look superb. Overall, the cleaning was excellent! I only have two points of issue. I've tried to arrange for a cleaning multiple times and was later told each time that my desired time slot was not available despite appearing so on the website. Also, my apartment is very cramped but since it has two bedrooms, I was charged the same rate as would have been a large house. I wish the charges were instead based on square footage. read more

My daughter recommended Cardinal Maids very highly. She was absolutely right! Booking was simple, communication was exceptional with both texts and emails. The team even called me to tell me they were 10 minutes from my home. The work was nothing short of fabulous...even areas I sometimes have trouble cleaning were pristine. My husband was at home when the 2 girls came. He said they work very efficiently...he said they even washed the kitchen floor twice to make sure it was perfectly clean. That says so much to me! I now am going to schedule them every 6 weeks or so. I have had other companies....but this is definitely the best! read more

I moved into a new home and the prior owners left a mess. I was looking for someone with immediate availability. Cardinal Maids didn't have it but called me back and worked me into an earlier slot.
