The store overall is a bit outdated but that doesn't take away from offering a traditional Hispanic style groceries. I like that they have already made food so if you're in the mood for some Mexican soups they have them ready to enjoy. I went here to buy some yellow corn tortillas to make tacos at home. Usually they have freshly made tortillas prepackaged for purchase but unfortunately they were all out. There was what look like two employees at the end of the warm conveyor belt waiting to pack them but I guess the machine was not producing them fast enough. There was already a line of people waiting so I opted for flour small tortillas due to none being available. As I head over to check out they only have two registers open.. Not good, they had at least a minimum of 15 people wrapping around displays and aisles waiting to be checked out. I make my way over to the self-checkout because I see the sign for 25 items or less so my chances were better there. I get in line and out of the 15+ people in self checkout there was 6 with half full baskets... They really need to implement the rule for all. This was insane! Waited 35 minutes to pay for a $16.75 grocery bill. Do better grocers, do better. read more

Went to go get my phone fixed at this phone repair place in ranch market , he told told me it will be 80 but when I went to get the phone he was trying to charge me 90$ that's not an issue but when I paid and go my phone my service button on my service button didn't turn on so I went back in and he said that it's fine or whatever. So I go home and I open my sims slot and the sims card wasn't in there so I go back in and confront him but he said he didn't have anything to do with but if he didn't why wasn't it in there. I love this place! This isn't just a marketplace, it's: grocery, lunch spot, prepared foods, cellphones, banking, cafe and bakery. The cakes look amazing and affordable. The produce is perfect - free of wax and tons has specialty items. Not the stuff you would find at your local large-chain Fry's. You can pick up a 12 pack of Coke and Mexican candy. I have to admit, I felt really out of place walking around; like I was trespassing and shouldn't be there, since I don't speak Spanish but it was okay. The cashiers spoke English but the women handing out samples and some of the counter workers did not. Everyone was very friendly. A smile and a thank you goes a long way. I could have spent hours here. We browsed around, almost bought a lot of stuff but settled on horchata mix and red pepper seasoning blend for elotes, that would travel well in a suitcase and I can't get in Michigan. Large pinatas hang from the ceiling, will run you about $30. The cafe seating area is communal, with large TV mounted from the ceiling, broadcasting shows in Spanish. This store used to be a good place to pick up food especially when you get your seafood fried. in the last couple of weeks, they have an excuse to not fry the seafood. if it's not because they turn off the fryers at 6pm or because they don have thawed fish to fry during the evening dinner rush. I have shopped here several times. Favorite departments are produce, food court and bakery. The produce department has a great chili selection and large tomatillos. I have had many meals at the food court. Usually carne asada burros or street tacos. Very tasty and filling. They make the food in front of you and they add whatever condiments that you want. I come here every time that I am in the valley to get their Taco Tuesday special. Their carne asada is so flavorful and great. All the employees here are super nice and helpful as well. They have a wide variety of groceries that are perfect for home. A lot of their items/products are cheaper than other places as well which makes them that much better! My husband went to buy a juice, with beets, oranges, celery and oranges. The lady at the juice section said they were out of beets, while next to her there was a cartful an entire bag of beets, my husband goes out to point out that there was a whole bag of them , the lady says that those are to be used the next day and are not for sale .confused my husband asked why? she didnt have an answer except that they are to be used the next day and not that day. my husband then offers to go get some beets from the vegetable section for her, she said that he would have to buy them at the register. my husband goes out and buys them, pays for them and then beings them back to her. she proceeds to make the juice, and then charges my husband for the juice?? he ends up paying double for the beets. ive found that the worse customer service is at the juice stand. read more

i recently went in to the ranch market on glendale and 35th ave. the store was very nice had everything wanted and went to check out there was a fairly long line and only one full service line open maned by a woman named laura (as it says on my receipt) laura and another woman employee were deep in conversation so much so that she didn't even say hello did you find everything you were looking for much less even look at me she rang my order up still never missing a beat with her friend told me what i owed without looking away from her friend i gave her the money she gave me my change and that was that no thank you sir or kiss my ass not i word so i got my stuff and stood close to the register to see if it was just me who she didn't acknowledge but it wasn't the next lady in line was treated the same she did not say hi to her and while ringing up her items she never stopped talking to her friend nor did she thank her for her business or tell her have a nice day if anything she gives you the impression that you are putting her out by getting in her line you know there's so many other stores who do or at least act like they appreciate you spending your hard earned money with them but not laura if anything she makes you feel like you are really putting her out by being there and i didn't get the other woman's name but you would think between the two of them that they would realize that they should save there bullshiting sessions till there break and take care of there customers first it's going to be awhile before i return and a word to anyone else who goes there if you see laura running a register do yourself a favor and go to the self check out or just leave your stuff there and go to another store read more
