On going in we found a beautiful bookstore that has a lot of Southern charm. The bookstore itself is laid out really nicely with books lined all the way too the top. There is also an upstairs section with a kids reading nook area. We didn't find the book we were looking for, but we still found a book. I used the…read morestore's online Customized Gift Request form from Southern California to buy a birthday gift for the child of friends in the Augusta area (since the fires, a lot of stores around here have not been open), and Aubrey sent a list of toys within hours based on preferences that I selected. I made a couple of changes, confirmed the delivery address, paid online, and the order was delivered the next day! The convenience was exceeded by the toys themselves--the website is really comprehensive, with a broad selection of toys, games, and books for all ages that are fairly priced. The physical store reminds me of the neighborhood independent toy store where I grew up; kids are encouraged to explore and play, and my guess is that a lot of happy memories are made there. If you have a "I want everything in the store!" kind of kid, I would not recommend going here, unless you have an endless budget for this bear-making experience. If your kid is ok with something like this - "We are going to get you a special bear, and you can choose 1 outfit and 1 accessory," you could get out of the store for less than $50, especially if your child chooses a bear on sale or less expensive bear. (Some are as low as $15, but go up to $40.) Also remember, you are not just buying the bear, but paying for the experience, and it can be fun! After visiting the location near me for my older daughter's birthday, my younger daughter wanted to go also for her birthday (of course) while we were in Georgia for the holidays. This location was almost identical to the one near us, so my review is largely the same. This location is also clean, bright, friendly, and welcoming. The staff is ready to help and really try to make it special for the recipient.
