We were driving through town and needed lunch. We almost missed this place as it is well hidden behind some trees and just off the main road. The outside is not much to look at but inside is cozy. There is plenty of room for a large group. It looks like the evening crowd would like to stop here for a late snack and a beverage, there are plenty of TVs and games to play. We just missed a lunch buffet with salad and pizza so we ordered off the menu. The food was good and we were pleasantly surprised. We were not able to try the pizza as they appeared to be known for so if we are ever back in town that will be a must try. The lady that served us seemed to be the only one helping customers because we saw a couple more but they were just sitting at a table wrapping silverware I believe. They need to fix the hvac system in this restaurant! I am waiting for my food in 82 degrees plus temperature! It is very humid and I am near canceling my order as I am very uncomfortable! Two nights in a row I ordered the hoagie, incredible bread and perfectly constructed sandwich. Get the extra oil and extra mayonnaise. One of the best hoagies I've had. I don't know who doesn't like this restaurant in fairbualt. The food is DELICIOUS you need to try the chicken wings! The waiters are aways nice but sometimes they make mistakes, just get over it. The ambiance is good the lights are dim and it has like a old town bar feeling. read more

I enjoyed my first visit to Carbone's. It's got a comfy pizza joint vibe. I was there for lunch so I decided to get a hoagie and tots. Both were very good. The light crunch of the toasted roll really pulls everything together and the tots were perfect. The sandwich they brought me wasn't the way I ordered it, but they made things right quickly. I appreciated that a manager came to my table to make sure that everything had been corrected to my liking. Apparently they had someone new working in back, and mistakes are understandable. My meal was very good. The staff was friendly, and the prices were fair. I look forward to coming back. read more

Carbone's is a great addition to Faribault for affordable out to eat spots, but it is ALWAYS packed. I don't know if they need a bigger parking lot or what, but the parking is nuts and then you go inside and not bad? Makes no sense. Service is decent for Faribault. Came with my husband and son for the lunch buffet. Husband ordered an IPA beer, unfortunately they didn't have it, but the server brought him a pint to try another, to see if the other choice was ok I asked server if they will be putting in any white sauce pizza on the line, she asked the cook and they made one! Yay me! Server was great, frequently checked to make sure our drinks were full and if we needed anything else. Bathrooms were clean AND they have a hook right by the sink to hang coats or purses. My first thought when told Carbone's was coming to Faribault was that the city didn't need another pizza place. But after dinning there last night I'm glad to have them as a choice for Faribault dinning. The staff was accommodating and very friendly. The pizza was excellent! We decided to create our own pizza using the large amount of available ingredients to choose from. Delicious! Special for the night...but one beer at regular price and get a second for a buck! The restaurant was very busy but even then the noise level was low enough to have a conversation. One thing I couldn't help but notice was how fresh the restaurant smelled. Not common for a bar serving pizza. This will be a great place to meet friends in Faribault! read more

I give their food a 4.5. However if you aren't seated at the bar or high top tables you may get overlooked for a bit. This has happened a few times. Even with groups larger than 4. The food always taste great and the waitresses and waiters are usually very friendly and work hard for their tips. read more
