Instead of driving 2.5 hours one way to get back for a court date, hired Rosenblum team. Sent them all the info, copy of the ticket, etc. Paid by credit card, and about a month later Poof! the ticket was gone. No muss, no fuss, they got it knocked down to a non-moving violation and much smaller fine with no points on license. Their service was not cheap but when you figure out the time lost from work, time to drive to/from upstate, then trying to negotiate on your own with the prosecutor, it would not be worth it.
