The food was mediocre, it took about an hour to get our food. The service was good, she was attentive and nice.

After a long day of hiking Cueva Ventana we decided to stop by Carbon y Leña located in Arecibo, PR. I think we all knew what we wanted: cold beer and mofongo and this place was just perfect for it!! After ordering Medallas and piñas coladas it was time for food!! I ordered "El Faro" which was chicken, steak & shrimp on top of a mofongo bed which cheese sauce. ($16.99) OMG!! Take me back. Almost everyone at the table ordered mofongo but I saw some other tables orders and the fried fish looked delicious too. The precious ocean view and the spectacular service and food makes the experience unforgettable. Definitely would be back on my next time in PR!

We had dinner here on Sunday ( a week ago) there were 10 of us. We got seated quickly in the terrace. The place was clean, lots of selections on the menu. We started with the nachos, delicious and large portions enough to share. My Dad had the rice /beans/ chicken. Very tasty. My husband and I shared the shrimp Mofongo. Very delicious and flavorful. Great crowd l, very busy bustling restaurant. This is one of our regular stops whenever we are in Puerto Rico

    Great for sunsets

Good service and food, nice place to come with family. Come for the view and stay for the food.

We were here visiting this beach as we came from the Observatory, and we saw this placed packed. Yelp showed 5 stars with 2 reviews, but certainly a place packed with locals we could not go wrong. We parked the car in the big parking place, then we signed in. Wait time 30~45 min. We were starving so we decided to wait. I grabbed a Medalla from the bar to make it easier on my stomach. Less than half an hour later we were in a table with ocean view. Every now and then you could see the waiters playing their plendas singing Feliz Cumpleaños to guest who celebrated a birthday. Very dynamic and contagious! When we were trying to figure out what to order, we could see different dishes at other tables many good options. After we ordered we got our tasty food quickly and we ate it all! Our server was very enthusiastic and friendly, and we really enjoyed having dinner here. Looking forward to come back!

Discovered this place after a particularly stressful day (doctor stuff), thanks to my daughter who wanted to give me some relaxation. Is an informal place, but family friendly. Our waiter, a red beard guy Ian, was helpful, engaging and attentive. We ordered parcha/mojito, delicious! Entree: we ordered the vegetarian mofongo... amazing! Moist and flavorful. Recommended

Enjoyed the restaurant vibe and the decor but my whole red snapper was not fresh and I was very disappointed. Stick to their steak and pork chops.

Excellent dinner with stunning sunset views. Ferdinand the waiter was outstanding and you gotta love the way they sing to you happy birthday; with pleneras and all. This a great location (2nd for Carbón y Leña; 1st is in Quebradillas) and i was very happy with my experience. The churrasco was so tender and the arroz mamposteao (is like arroz amogollao mixed with beans and other vegetables) Hands down one of my best dining experiences in Arecibo. 100% recommended!

Delicious food, the restaurant was very clean including the bathrooms, the only thing is that we waited for the waitress 30 minutes and then we wait about 2 hours for our food. I don't know why Yelp described this restaurant as Mexican restaurant because this restaurant is authentic Puertorrican food no Mexican.

Beach view while waiting for our food .
