We had every appointment set from the beginning, they have helped us with videos, demonstrations, tours of multiple facilities, instructional information, reminders and answering questions. I tend to be overly cautious when it comes to pharmaceutical drugs and vaccines and they've made sure we get the info we ask for. We will also be choosing a Cleveland Clinic pediatrician. I feel we're in great hands and have been since the beginning. As a first time father I feel like they've helped me prepare and understand what's next every step of the way. Highly recommended!

I was very happy when the world famous Cleveland Clinic came to Avon. I needed a new family doctor…read moreas the one I had for over 20 years retired. I called and asked which doctor was taking new patients for family. I made an appointment letting them know what I was looking for and went. I wish I did, but I don't remember his name. He was an old gentleman in a small cube. He asked me why I was there, so as I proceeded to tell him, he began making appointments with several different doctors for each thing I said. In other words, he was "farming me out"! Why was he even there? I stopped him and said good-bye. He did nothing for me but send me a bill. So I tried again. A women doctor this time. A medical assistant came in and took down all the reasons I was there and also took my vitals. This took about ten minuets, then the doctor finally came in. She stayed a whole five minuets and had an abrupt attitude at that. I went one more time to her and got the same experience. I kept telling myself "it's the Cleve. Clinic" so it has to be good, right? Next I went to the offices in Sheffield. This time, another male doctor. (I don't have a preference if their good). I told him my siatic nerve was bothering me. He didn't examine me in any way and didn't ask any questions He said I needed to go for 6 to 8 weeks of physical therapy. I explained I couldn't afford it and asked if there was something else I could do. He simply said " if you don't want to do what I say then don't bother coming back". I never went back, nor will I ever go to the Clinic again!

5 minutes ago New…read moreToday was the worst experience I've ever had in a university hospital facility. I took my two young boys and myself into the urgent care around 9 AM. We had been sick all week, but my work schedule didn't allow us to get into any of the facilities any earlier than this Saturday morning. Upon arrival I filled out the paperwork for the three of us and brought out my bank card to pay all three co-pays at $75 apiece. I swiped, my card and the tall skinny, dark curly haired girl behind the desk with glasses after processing our payments told me that I had A past due balance with university hospitals of $500. She then told me even though I had enough money to pay co-pays currently, that she would not be able to let me be seen unless I made a payment of at least $200 additionally to our co-pays towards this 500. I didn't even know I had a balance. It would not be a problem to pay the entire balance had I had been able to talk to my husband to see which card he thought I should put that on or how we should go about paying it. But it was early in the morning and he was not with me. So I said well if you won't see me, let's go forward with at least seeing my children. The three of us are incredibly sick, so it was important to get them seen before it got severe. In the meantime, I was able to get a hold of my husband as we were in the exam room. My husband called up to the front desk and spoke to this woman that refused my care. He offered to Pay that past due balance so I could be seen this morning. The receptionist then told him he wouldn't be able to do that because it's against HIPAA. So my husband was actually calling up there to help me be seen because I was so sick and I had just got off the phone with him crying saying that they wouldn't see me. Instead of putting my husband on hold and coming back and getting me this woman told my husband she wouldn't even tell him if I was there or not. The level of pettiness was insane. The doctor came in and seen both of my boys. He could see I was crying and he said an how are YOU feeling? I let him know that because of a previous balance I was not allowed to be seen today. He said nothing and walked out of the room. He could see I was sick. It was plainly obvious as I sat there crying. As I was leaving with my boys out of the office after they had gotten their prescriptions written, the girls behind the desk, proceeded to tell me to have a good day as I walked out. Once I got to my car, I realized how absolutely heartbroken I was over the situation. I'm now going back home still incredibly sick with no medication. So I went back in and told them how awful I thought they were. How you don't treat people like this in The medical field? How do you turn a woman away That's standing there trying to pay at least the co-pays with her two young boys that's incredibly ill? And then when the husband calls trying to help the situation, you don't even allow the situation to have help. I didn't threaten them. But I was mad and they knew It. About an hour and a half later after I'd been home I get a call from Avon police department. The skinny dark haired girl with glasses that was standing there, threatening to call the police on me, actually called the police once I was Long gone. They wanted the officer to tell me that I am now trespassed and I will be arrested if I ever come Back there. Well, done, university hospitals! As somebody that works in the medical field I know that tall, skinny, dark curly haired girl with glasses should never be in the Medical field! I was unaware that university hospitals hired cold, mean hearted, nasty people to handle they're sick families! I was unaware that UH promotes MONEY OVER CARE! A voicemail was left for university hospitals patient advocacy as well as a grievance will be filled with the hospital and insurance company. Office visit date 9/6/25 9:30am Stuart/ Green family.

We have been siting in this waiting room for over 8 hours with no test results, no one checking in on his chest pains and when my family or any of these other families waiting for help ask about how much longer themselves or their loved ones have to wait to be seen the nurses and receptionist just say (with a heightened volume and annoyance to their voice is... "you're on the list" and that "we don't know wait times" 8+ hours to wait to be seen and left in a waiting room when you came in with heart an chest pain is unexplainable for my father and the countless others that are in pain and just wanted some preview of when they'll be able to be seen and have some relief! Do better Cleveland Clinic and have your front line crew members show a little more empathy for people that have spent the equivalent to a full workday waiting in a lobby to get relief for their ailments. Also at the time of writing this we still have yet to be seen and are about to enter hour 9.

I'm a UH employee and I'm taking our business to MERCY, what does that tell you? Very dissatisfied…read moreand it saddens me how my newborn was treated. Our 2 month old was due for his shots, went to his appt and after waiting 2 hours (and being told someone was on the way with the vaccines from another office) we were finally told they didn't have the vaccines and told we would get a call the next day when they came in. The nurse admitted they didn't look on the schedule to see he needed his vaccines and said we were the "guinea pigs". I ended up calling the office at the end of the next day as no one called and was told the vaccines won't be in for TWO WEEKS and to go to the department of health if I didn't want to wait for them to come in! *please know that he has been coming to the office since he was born.* Someone could have called and let us know they didn't have any vaccines so we could plan accordingly. My husband, newborn and I were all patients of Dr Carandang. Unfortunately the patient care was terrible. We decided to leave her practice, now go to Mercy Avon. If she would've talked to me an apologized for the offices incompetence we likely would have given her another shot. Dr Carandang, please evaluate your office staff , this should never occur... and you let 3 patients leave you practice for good. You are a pediatrician and my newborn needed care, and you didn't deliver. **I don't care if you office is in the process of moving, if you can't take care of your very young patients close your office during the transition. Your receptionist and nurse were disrespectful and unapologetic. Update: I did receive a call from the supervisor two days later to "talk about things" but I did not return the call as my baby received shots the very next day the the Mercy Avon location. No need to discuss when we've already left the practice.
