The man behind the counter or who owns it, I didn't get his name was helpful, down to earth and went above and beyond. I had recently had skin cancer surgery on my Head and had a bandage. He sympathized and said he had the same thing. That's the guy I'm talking about. Helpful, knowledgeable and, did the following: my wife wanted a small bottle , that is a split of champagne. He pulled out one for us and said "no you don't want that one that's Moët, too Expensive. ' He thereafter showed my wife a three pack of Prosecco. He said this is what you want. He volunteered that, in fact, he would split it up and sell us just one if that's what we wanted. It would've been so easy for him to say "no, I'm sorry you'll have to buy all three." he also directed me away from a beer I was thinking of buying saying "no, you don't want that stuff, it's drunks' juice." when I said we were taking it to a Lebanese restaurant and we are not sure that they could open it, he volunteered to give us a can opener. In addition a customer said he was a vegan and had been to the restaurant, and said yeah they'll open it for you. Too much. A great place to go to get some liquor, or a beer and meet a nice group of people.

It's loaded with a wide selection, it's like walking into a Total Wine but more of a mom and pop shop. Great spot to shop at, it's one of my favorites now since I'm new to the area. I know if i go here I will find just what I need no questions asked. I still have to check out their supermarket I'm sure it'll be just as amazing with a wide selection of things. I've had Ecuadorian food before, and entrees are usually not in the $15 range. The place was out of fried chicken. What happened here? The beers were $4, a good deal. Mrs. Soy wanted a Diet Coke but she was brought a regular Coke instead since there are no diet soft drinks available. She opted for water but instead of tap, she was brought a $2 Poland Spring. We could not communicate with the waitress since she spoke no English but we made do, and she was friendly too. The cost for two entrees and two drinks, with no appetizers or desserts, with tax and tip-$45. The American food options are few. I was more interested in the converted diner. I remember eating there when it was a Greek railroad car diner. They now show movies in there and I suspect there is dancing too based on the layout. You wouldn't know it fromthe outside.

Context: I was in weeks ago buying a 4-pack of Broccoli (and think I mistakenly left it on the checkout counter) and asked about taking boxes, as I'm selling my home. I was encouraged to take as many as I'd like; I'd be doing them a favor as they were inundated. Bought another 4-pack today (Broccoli and Bees), and asked at checkout about taking more boxes, "sure" was the reply, with no mention of a three-box limit. I put the beer in the car, opened the back hatch, and, thinking I'd be smarter this time, grabbed a cart to save trips in and out with boxes. Note: it seemed like the same number of empty boxes as last time. As I'm placing boxes 3 and 4 in the cart, a guy from the customer service (?) desk has taken a couple of steps towards me and calls out in an accusatory tone, "You're only allowed three boxes." Me, calling back to him: "Oh, okay, last time they said to go wild." He, as he turned and took a couple of steps back to the desk, called back, "No, only three," with his hand raised, three fingers extended, his back to me. The guy's tone made it seem like he was offended by my egregious act of taking more than three boxes as if they were in dangerously short supply and wouldn't be replenished any time soon. Maybe it'll become a self-fulfilling prophecy because they lost me as a customer, and I'm damn sure going to steer my considerable friend circle (who enjoy their alcoholic beverages) away from this place that treats its customers as offenders (based on mixed messages from staff or the uncommunicated three-box rule). No fourth box for you!! Such a douche. Would like to have given a Zero rating if I could.

Very disappointing experience!…read more We purchased two bottles of wine for the recent holidays. The red one was perfectly fine, but the white wine (opened in the middle of a large party) was spoiled and with a foul smell. We poured it out and later came back to the store to tell them about it. They did not offer a refund or a complimentary bottle, rather saying that we had to "save" the bottle with the spoiled wine to be considered for refund. They don't trust their own customers and we would not trust this store with our wine purchases.

I just left there about 10 minutes ago, and the selection isn't what it used to be. Everything is IPA, weird craft flavors or fancy fruity style beers or your typical watered down beer that you used to drink in college on a budget. Or what you can find in grocery stores but with a higher price tag. I do appreciate the good cider selection, however, the prices are just out of control. They don't update the sticker prices on the six packs and when checking out, I was surprised that it was several dollars more than what I had anticipated on paying. When I asked the cashier if he would be willing to honor the price on the sticker, he flatly said no. I get times are tough right now, but a little customer service goes a long way. If you're not doing your end of the bargain to update your inventory and prices, then maybe don't mark the cans at all so that customers can confirm the price at the counter before buying.
