Here, they do all the right things and serve tons and tons of meats. They have it all, so good in fact, Diego Maradona himself once dined here when he was alive. The service was immaculate, everyone was very friendly and welcoming, we happened to walk in right during a slow day, and it was perfect. The ambiance is very cozy, lots of paintings of prominent Argentine figures such as Carlos Gardel and of course Diegito. We arrived at the time we were supposed to, but the place wasn't ready to receive us. It took them 30 minutes just to serve us bread and water. The appetizers took one hour to be served. They were ok, but the quantity wasn't near enough for 20 people. Like, 4 pieces of falafel for a table of 8... just as an example. The main courses were served almost 2 hours (!) after we arrived. We arrived at 1:30 pm and the main courses started being served around 3:20 pm. And then, the food was horrible. The gefilte fish, for example, had no taste at all, and had been complete dried and fried. It just tasted like cardboard. To finish the horror show, the dessert, which also we had paid for upfront for all 20 people, was served only at 4:30pm, three hours after we arrived, and when more than half of the people had left. And if this wasn't enough, when some of the remaining people asked for coffee, we were asked to pay extra for it! It's not the price that bothered me, but the audacity they had to ask for more money after the absolutely horrible performance they had. In short, avoid this place as the plague! Even one single star is too much for them...

The sandwiches are made to order and the line can be a bit intimidating or overwhelming, but they are so quick, you will be in and out in less than 10 minutes. They have a wide array of sandwiches but the milanesa is the way to go. You get a big portioned sandwich, on fresh bread, we got two big sandwiches with all of the recommended fixings. We got two drinks and two waters - all for less than 13 USD. We couldn't believe it. This meal in the states would've easily been $35 and the quality would not have been as good. Most people here take their sandwiches to go, but they have a little sitting area upstairs if you want to eat it fresh there! Sandwiches were so big I could not finish mine. One of our favorite sandwiches in all of Argentina on our visit!
