We purchased a vehicle from Car-Stop Auto on June 21 and took it to an independent mechanic on June 23, who uncovered several serious pre-existing issues. The cost of repairs was nearly equal to what we paid for the vehicle. The dealership initially refused to offer a return, exchange, or cover any repairs under the 90-day warranty. This was a deliberate deception. Monthly Payment Fraud: I was promised a monthly payment of $215, yet Westlake lists my payment as $251. Another lie. Payoff Amount Manipulation: I was told my payoff would be $8,494, but Westlake is showing $10,461.52. Completely fraudulent numbers. I Returned the Car: I took the vehicle back to the dealership immediately after discovering the fraud. Westlake Has Escalated the Case: Westlake Financial has already escalated Carstop and its owner, Murtaza Mirza, as fraudulent because he never responded to their payoff verification request. Regulators Notified: He has been reported to the Virginia Board of Dealerships for fraud and unethical conduct. Do not buy from this dealership. I purchased a vehicle here and the manager (Mirza) told me the loan would be $200/month for 24 months. I later discovered it was actually over 5 years -- a complete misrepresentation of the loan terms. When I returned the car and canceled the loan, he issued a new contract and I paid him $7,500 in full -- cash -- with a signed payoff paper. He then never paid off the original bank loan (Lendbuzz), leaving me responsible for a debt I already paid him to resolve. For over seven months he has made repeated promises to pay and failed every time. He even gave me a check to bring to the bank that turned out to be invalid. This has seriously damaged my credit score. I have filed formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Virginia Attorney General's Consumer Protection, the Virginia DMV Dealer Licensing Division, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), and the Federal Trade Commission. I am also pursuing legal action with an attorney. These people took my money for deposit on a car. I traveled to Virginia from Baltimore to pick up the car, but it was messed up badly! I told Mike that car a lemon, it's broken or needs maintenance. Never brought car, went home without car. These people still have my money! They are not returning my funds I put down to hold the vehicle, which must be totally refunded by law. Paid in January, it's almost May!!! There is literally no excuse as to why my money hasn't been returned! Do not go to this place!!!!! I do not recommend them. They are practically stealing from a school teacher!! These people are duckling calls, not returning calls, misleading me, lying, practically stealing my money. Would avoid at all costs. IRS fraud keeping EV credits. The owner Mirsa delivered car quickly, but had a dead battery on arrival. The smallest of the issues. It took almost three months to get plates for the car. I was driving with expired temp tags for nearly two months. I was told multiple times the plates were in the mail when the card hadn't even been registered yet. He also took my EV tax credit of $4000 and has been claiming to have mailed it for over two months. I was told they don't apply the credit at purchase but will send the rebate after, even after confirming they received money from the IRS and claimed to have mailed a check multiple times, it never happened. We test drove a 2013 Cadillac ATS and liked the car and people who work there. They agreed, in writing, to repair the car's infotainment system, at NO cost to us. Which is good business/customer service practice. However, the finance man, Michael McGuire, attached a "Service Contract" to the cost of the loan of ($2.553.00) WITHOUT asking us if we wanted it OR telling us the cost until he had printed out the stack of papers. I have asked them to either rewrite the contract WITHOUT the "service contract" or cancel the sale and return our $4,000 down payment. This car dealership practices fraudulent activity such as yo yo financing, bait & switch, etc... The initial person that contacted me George Fallin...advised that I was approved for a loan w/ no money down & all I have to do is come pick the vehicle up with check stubs & proof of insurance... I arrive only to go thru the process of having everything approved, via Mohib... His whole conversation constantly & consistently advises that I am approved... he asks me to pay the insurance & I can leave the lot with the vehicle... I pay the insurance & sit there patiently for 3hrs... (They even asked me If I was willing to drive up to Colonial Beach to speak with the finance Mgr, which I agreed) then they try strong arm me for a Down Payment of $1000... 1st down pmt can be negotiated & then I have to have it ASAP... but they advise me the loan fell thru... but if I make the down pmt I can drive of the lot..or if I find a cosigner. Then they said no one will even take the loan. So now I have paid insurance of est. $355.. for a car that I don't have... when I was told before I caught a Lyft to their location, "Just come up here and make the insurance PMT ad you are free to leave with the vehicle". Then I call the 1st guy I spoke with, George Fallin and he acts like a child after telling me he would investigate the situation... & he gets on the phone & keeps saying, Hello, Hello, Hello is anyone there, Hello, Hold on...
