To start off, I am an avid mobile electronics enthusiast with many years of experience in both product knowledge and installation. I was in a rush one day and dropped my vehicle off here while I ran some errands. I was caught off guard when I was quoted $100 for the installation of a radio in my truck, but I figured " you get what you pay for". Once returning to pick up my truck I was speechless about how poor the installation was. He cut my dash, beat out ( with a hammer) my radio bezel and broke it to pieces, installed my radio using plumbers tape instead of the dash kit, and tried gluing the dash back together. To too it off, they never admitted their mistake. They didn't clean up the mess they made with all the plastic in my floorboard from my now broken dash bezel, didn't install the antenna, and didn't install a few other parts of which they charged me for. I suppose they didn't expect they had a customer that would take their dash back apart to critique their work, but it happened this time. DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO TOUCH YOUR VEHICLE. read more

My brother bought a stereo and they didn't connect it right and supposedly he was gonna repair it but he never made time for my truck and i refunded the stereo and they just give me $130 back and haven't gave me the rest of the money out of $360 and i don't recommend this place i got the worst service from Tony i do not recommend at all service from this place read more

Only giving them one star because it won't let me put 0. Took my vehicle and got subs an amp and my radio installed they overcharged on everything I didn't realize until I went to another shop how badly they overcharged me . And on top of that nothing was wired right, not even the subs in the box, they sold me an amp that couldn't power the subs, the amp was also wired wrong. Burned and melted all the wires and blew the fuse , had to get everything rewired by another shop. And buy a new amp read more

I looked up car audio businesses and came across Car Stereo Max. Read a few good reviews and decided to do business with them. I called and talked to "Sergio" asking for a subwoofer,box and installation with my amp. He got me right in but once I got in, it went down hill from there unknowingly to me. While waiting for my stereo to be installed I saw a tail light kit which was $70 but after I paid I noticed he charged me $125 in labor for 20 minute installation which simply included peeling off the 3M tape and applying the lights and plugging it in. (Mind you it only cost $80 in labor to install my stereo system) When I got home I noticed it doesn't light up when I hit my brakes which was the whole purpose of me wanting this. "My fault" I didn't look at the receipt and see the amount charged for installation for the light bar. I called him to talk about it and asked him why the labor was so high for the installation and he continued to say "look at your receipt man" very unprofessional. He eventually hung up on me while I was asking about the cost. I called back and he answered by saying "yes, I'm busy I have a customer and I thought you were done". Customer service is awful and they are not upfront with prices. I worked with him to prepare for an installation for my Camaro (picked out box, speaker, etc) and told him I wanted to pay all together and bring my car at a later date. So when I paid the bill I did not question the price (thinking it was for both systems as discussed) until I called to make an appointment to have my stereo installed and was told he never picked out stereo options for my camaro with me. Sergio is a joke and a con artist. I cannot say that about Frank because I have never talked to him. If you don't mind paying $125 for 20 minutes labor and terrible customer service then this is the place for you. I will be bringing my camaro elsewhere. read more

I called car stereo max right when they opened to see if they could take a look at my stereo system and find out why my highs were going in and out but my bass was still staying on. They said yea we can take a look at it 45 bucks to do a diagnostic, and whatever is the problem and you have to buy something that 45 bucks goes to the purchase, i said perfect. They said can you bring it in now i said yea i can be there in 15 min. Got there in 10. I get there and the guy tells me i have to wait 45 min cause they have other customers now. The Whole reason i called before i came is to see if they could get me in, if not i would of brought it in at a time they told me. K. Bypass the hour wait to get my truck in, get it in and i knew i was going to have to sit there while they did the diagnostic, which was fine. An hour goes by the guy comes back out and says we are going to have to take your seat off and that's going to take a little while to do and we have other cars to work on. I said well first off it takes 2 minutes and it takes four screws to take the seat off, which i can do for you if you like. He said no we can do it but we have other cars to work on. I told him i called you guys for this exact reason this morning before i came in to see if you guys could work on it. I said do what you have to do to fix it. 20-30 min go by and i walk around the building just to see if they were getting somewhere. TRUCKS SITTING THERE WITH THE SEAT STILL ON AND NO ONE WORKING ON IT. walked back around front told the guy know one is working on my truck. He said i know i told you we have other cars that came in that we have to make money off of. Instead of trying to find a problem on your stereo right now. I said you have got to be kidding me. I been waiting here 2 1/2 hours and you guys havnt even basically touched my truck. Told them to give me the keys and I'll go somewhere else. Oo and he said he wasn't going to charge me, well duhhhh you guys didn't do shit but waste time. read more

PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!! THEY WIRED MY AMP AND RADIO AND A WEEK LATER SMOKE COMES FROM MY HEAD UNIT!!! i call and they tell me to come i. i'm sitting for 3 hours!!! they told me employee went on lunch break but that still doesn't explain cars going before me and i got there before they did AND THEY LOST MY CAR KEYS!!! they told me to leave after i got upset and they refused to fix my car now i have to figure it out on my own!!!!! worse car service i ever experienced!!! read more

I got a damn good radio system for the price, I get complimented on it and that's big! My radio stopped working completely and wires were cut, all kinda of headaches. They set me up with a full system and car alarm for exactly what I wanted to spend. read more

This place is no good, im telling you with all honesty stay away. They charged me for speakers that I never received and the installation is a mess, they can't fix the issue with my car when I had others and professionals tell me it's an easy fix. My speakers are sounding low and are put backwards. I hate the fact they they try to take advantage of people, I did a test on them and they fell hard. I dont see how they run a business, don't trust the Tony guy, he told me that they can fix it, when I thought they could, he tried to play it off like they did and asked me to "blessed them" because they are going overtime on my car. This place is BS. Oh! When I asked him to show me what he was gonna put in my car he just showed me 2 amps and a bass speaker and not show me the rest of the product. I mean, for many 2000 + is not a lot but thats a lot of money for a shit job. I still have 30 days of warranty and they aren't Honoring it. Place is just a shit place. I'll post pics and videos if I can later of how the work is. I only had it for 19 days. I feel like throwing my who car away. They didn't even give me my original factory speakers back. read more

Wow, so I brought my own full system, all I needed was a box that they sold me for a more than fair price. Amazing high quality install, and quite fast as well. I used to go to audio express for my installs but I chose this place this time. They swapped my old system and put in my new system within a fraction of the time it's taken anyone else to do half the work they did on my car. My Volkswagen smacks now, and I'm super happy!!!! If you're around them go to them, if you pretty far then at least consider the drive cause I'm telling you, it's more than worth a couple hour drive, and the best part is you get to bump on the way home with your professionally installed system. Very reasonable priced install. If you bring your own things you can expect to pay anywhere from $50 to $150 depending on your car and how much wire you're gonna use. THANKS SO MUCH GUYS! I was referred to this place of business by a family member for some audio work on my car. Frank & his staff were very helpful and honest. Audio tech gave a listen to my busted speakers & quickly pointed out which ones needed to be replaced. He could've lied and said they all needed to be but turns out I only needed 4 speakers of the 6 I have. Since they saved me some money then I also opted to upgrade my car stereo with a Bluetooth component. While waiting for the job to be completed, I went and enjoyed some lunch since there were many eateries in the area. Installation was completed and i paid the reasonable fee and in my forgetfulness I left my credit card behind. Sure enough I got a call telling me what I had left behind and they offered to have it mailed to me since I didn't live close by. I went ahead and trusted them by not closing the account out. Two days later I received the card in the mail and no other transactions had been charged. Again, they we're honest and saved me even more $. Kudos to Frank and his team of audio experts. I'm a happy camper cruising down the highway with my super car audio/speakers blasting cool tunes and even better with a hands free Bluetooth system. read more
