You will be highly disappointed as he is not professional, routinely shows up late or not at all, doesn't answer his phone, makes up excuses as to why he missed an appointment, and then worst of all never got me the edited images from my wedding. I'll start with our engagement photo session where we were scheduled to start at 12 PM at his studio and when we got there it was closed. We called him and his wife's cell phones several times and left messages, but no one would call us back. Finally he called 45 minutes later and said he was on the way. We took a few pictures in his studio and then we went to an outside location for the remainder of the pictures. He was to mail us the images on a disc for us to pick which ones we wanted in the guest book for the wedding. Several weeks went by and we never received the disc. I called, called, e-mailed, and called with no response. Then finally he responded and said he did mail them and it must have gotten lost in the mail. I told him I would come up and pick it up from the studio and we arranged a time to meet, but guess who didn't show up for that meeting! His wife was there but she said she didn't know anything about the disc. I e-mailed him and said that he should just pick the images for our guest signing book as we were approaching the wedding date. I asked him to make sure I did get a digital copy of the images that he touched up. On the wedding day he did get to the venue on time which was good as I was worried based on our previous experiences with him. He broke one of his lens's and kept mentioning how upset he was and how much it cost. It must have really upset him because the pictures flat out sucked. Anyone with an SLR could have taken these pictures. In fact we like the pictures some of our guests took more than his. Well after the wedding we met him in his studio and he handed me 2 discs with over 800 raw images and told me to pick 80 for the album. I was a little shocked by this as our other photographer for our Christian Church wedding hand-picked the best images and only sent us the edited images. Yes, we had 2 weddings I asked him to go through and cut the number of pics down which he did not do. Finally we went through 800+ images and picked the ones we wanted in the album. Then he edited the images and e-mailed us a proof of the album. We were really unhappy with the cheesy effects he added to some of the photos and the layout of the album, so we asked if we could come up to the studio and show him what we wanted. We scheduled a time and when we showed up to his studio it was closed and he wasn't answering his phone. After an hour we left and a day later he called to apologize citing some emergency he had. We went back the next week and adjusted the album how we wanted it. Then a few days later he e-mails me the proof and he added back all the stuff we asked him to take out. When we left the studio the album was perfect. So we went back up again and sat with him to fix the album the way we wanted it, and finally received a copy of the proof of the album. He ordered it and we were to come back up in 2 weeks to pick it up. Well when we came to pick it up some of the images were different in the printed album than our final proof. You would think that he would have caught this and told us not to come up. At first was hesitant to send the printed albums back but he finally agreed to and 2 weeks later we got the correct albums. Now here is the part that really makes me upset. I mentioned on numerous occasions that I was expecting a disc with the edited images used for the guest signing book and wedding album. Several weeks went by after we had the albums and still nothing. Finally he said he had them all ready for me to pick up in his studio. When I arrived he didn't recall the conversation and stared digging through some portable hard drives looking for the pictures. After an hour I was growing impatient and he said that he would find them and mail them to me. Again nothing arrived in the mail. I called, called, and called again and finally he called me back and asked me come and pick them up. When I went up he wasn't there and the studio was closed. He got back to me a few days later and we arranged for another time for me to come up and get edited images. When I went up that time he again was not there but his wife was. She said she knew nothing of the disc and I left again empty handed. He finally did mail me a disc but it was the unedited 800+ images I already had. I called and once again explained I wanted digital copies of the edited images and he said he would get them to me. I never received them and as a last ditch effort sent him several e-mails over the next few months. I never heard back and finally gave up.

I can't begin to express how glad I am to have found Melissa for the newborn pictures! I heard of…read moreher from a colleague when scrambling to find a newborn photographer at the last minute. Melissa is simply great! She not only switched around her schedule to accommodate me, she also checked in with me while I was in the hospital to make sure we were still on track with the picture time( newborn pics are usually taken within 2 weeks of the baby's birth). On the creative end she listened to my ideas and did her hardest to recreate my vision. I wanted lots of colors and a picture created with Diwali(festival of lights) theme in mind. Melissa did not the necessary research and even went to purchase several items to make things happen perfectly. During the day of the shoot she as quick, efficient and truly a baby whisperer. My baby slept through the entire shoot! Her studio is also perfect with the temperature adjust for the baby's comfort. She has diapers, breast pump, baby wipes, hand sanitizers, in short all essentials needed for new moms and babies. She also has a nook for snacks for the parents and outfit options for moms to wear at the shoot. I also got my pictures within 2 weeks which was amazing. Additionally, even after getting the pictures I was not happy with one particular picture and Melissa did her damnest to make it better including offering to retake the pic. Overall: I loved working with Melissa and will definitely keep going back to her for more professional pictures.

From beginning to end, she was in touch throughout the whole process and very thorough (outfit ideas, time preference for the golden hour, and to see if we had any questions- including a couple of calls which I appreciated). Melissa and her assistance helped turn our Fall Mini Session into a proposal at the very end and they were so seamless with all of the details and pulling it off! ..Along with keeping a 3 year old toddler happy and a very large Goldendoodle still. Couldn't recommend enough! Super great to work with. Thank you, Melissa!!!
