This review is long overdue, but I think others should be warned...
If I could change one thing about my wedding, it would be the photographer (Vinod). I don't even know where to begin. First of all, he is on the pricier side. This would be fine if his service/product justified it. But it didn't...the service/product was HORRIBLE. There is enough stuff to stress about with a wedding...and he only made it worse.
A couple of weeks before my wedding, I sent Vinod an email with the exact address of the wedding venue (which was out if town), the schedule of where he needed to be and at what times, and my family members' phone numbers because I didn't want him contacting me that weekend as I would obviously have other stuff going on. I told him to be at the hotel to take pictures of me getting ready and exactly what time.
He calls me (first mistake, as I told him to contact my family instead of me that weekend) about 2.5 hours before asking for directions...um, what!?! He's had the address for two weeks, and should have looked up the directions prior...and more importantly, it takes 3.5 hours to get to the venue from Atlanta, and he only had 2.5 hours!!
Needless to say, I never got pictures of me getting ready for my wedding day! Plus, he was so frazzled trying to take pictures of me and my husband, our families and the venue...all because we needed to be at the ceremony at a certain time and now we had to rush through the pictures since he was late getting there.
Also, he was very pushy and rude during the events...he didn't listen to what I or my family told him we wanted in terms of where we wanted him to stand, etc...we didn't need his attitude!
Another thing, we had to follow up with him and his wife NUMEROUS times to get our images after our event. It would be okay to have to follow up a couple of times...but I'm talking at least a dozen times. Here is one of many examples: He gives you all the unedited images, which we had to go through and pick out the ones we wanted edited...it would have been nice if he went ahead and did that on his own, but it's no big deal. Anyway, we chose the images we wanted and gave them back to him on a flash drive. He said he would edit them and give them back. Weeks later I never heard from him, so I followed up. Turns out that he can't find the flash drive we gave him with the images we chose! We had to go through all the many images again and chose the pictures we wanted again and take the flash drive to his studio again! So we start that process of choosing the images again and it was ridiculous, so halfway through I call him to double check everywhere for the flash drive we already gave. The next day he let us know that he had it the whole time! I was glad we didn't have to sort through the images again, but so annoyed at his irresponsible nature.
Also, he didn't care to suggest any good or artistic poses (like most photographers have in mind). Me, my family and friends had to come up with poses and Vinod was there doing a lazy job. In the end, I was not happy with most of the pictures and wished he had given better ideas. The best picture was one that a friend came up with the pose. When I see other people's wedding pictures, I feel like mine are pretty lame...which is not how you want, for pictures should help show the memories of the special day.
These are just a few reasons why Vinod was a horrible choice for such an important day. He's too pricey, doesn't listen, rushes you, and just doesn't have the time to give the proper attention for these type of events anymore (he did a Bollywood type event after my wedding, and it seems that type of stuff is what he chose to spend his time and attention on).
Save your time, money, patience and sanity...I wish I had not used Vinod. read more
