There wasn't too much in the Free Food bin when I was there. Unlike most hostels I've stayed in Ireland, no free tea and coffee. And take-away/eating out in Ireland is generally pricey by American standards. On the positive side, it's near the trails. I found the staff were really friendly and the atmosphere in the hostel was welcoming and so positive. I wouldn't hesitate going back again - even though I wouldn't want to stay in the dorm.
