A visit to Barcelona was called for so onto Hotels.com to find accommodation for three of us. An…read moreoffer came up for Apartment Marina so checking it out online it seemed a good bet. But would it be. In fact it was a better deal than we had expected. Four minutes walk to Sagrada Familia and numerous good, reasonably priced, restaurants and bars. Transport also within five minutes. Secure entrance past a reception which was always manned by very helpful guys. On out first night the poor guy was in panic for me when we didn't have a corkscrew in the kitchen. He was great and found me one within minutes. I think he realised that you couldn't visit Spain without wine. Lift up to the apartment, in our case the third floor. Nice large lounge with TV (never used by us) with plenty of seating and telephone. Two bedrooms for four people, one with safe. Both with plenty of storage space. Bathroom with everything you could need. Girls said that the hair dryer worked better than any they had used in other establishment. Toiletries. Shower in the bath. Fully fitted kitchen with all appliances, including dishwasher. OK, missing a corkscrew but that was amended immediately. Balcony. If you are lucky at the front, with a view of the Sagrada Familia, but with the road noise (not too bad at night). A great apartment complex for a reasonable price.

We only needed a two night stay prior to boarding the Disney Cruise. Aspasios was a perfect fit. They have a 24/7 staff and they commute between apartment locations via moped for a quick response time when checking in. They were friendly, knowledgeable and bilingual. Our apartment was in a central location within walking distance of La Rambla. Our apartment was clean and ready for our arrival. Due to the type of reservation, you do not have the usual swimming pool or fitness room amenities but you do have a Barcelona resident type experience. We felt like we were part of the city which eliminated the tourist feel. Staff helped us arrange a taxi to the port, which cost approximately 20 Euro. I would recommend Aspasios to anyone looking for an family friendly apartment style stay in Barcelona.

These nasty people refused at first to refund my Reservation Deposit and also tried to Jerry-rig the rent payments to overlap....incredible! ( Hint: they like to wear soft shoes!) A friend recommended Conor and he immediately pointed out the illegality of what was going on. I resisted their bullying of a 70yr old man and eventually got a new contract. Soon I will buy an apartment of my own and I will be glad to have Conor to guide me through that process. Balcony is tiny, but there is a rooftop deck with lounges for sunning and a small pool to soak your tired feet in. Great view of the gothic cathedral from up there as well. About one block away from airport busses and a taxi stand at Plaza Catalunya.
