This place has been a San Jose staple for years and has been my go-to main supermarket for as long as I can remember. The selection covers everything you could possibly need, from international products to everyday household essentials all under one roof, the kind of variety that makes any other grocery store feel incomplete. What keeps me coming back just as much as the products is the staff. Many of them have been there for years, always friendly, always consistent, always making you feel genuinely welcomed. That kind of familiarity and warmth is something you just cannot put a price on. You come in for groceries and leave feeling like you just visited old friends. This Food Bazaar is a true San Jose international community treasure and deserves every bit of loyalty it has earned over the years. Highly recommend making it your regular stop, you won't regret it

They have amazing selection of spices, meats, breads, produce and more. The shelves are neatly organized. I love the fresh pita bread and lavash that they sell. I found my favorite brand of grape leaves. I also found the pomegranate syrup I needed and the orange blossom water for my Basbousa. They had a nice selection of fillo dough. My favorite brand is the Apollo fillo dough. I got a few boxes of that for my Armenian Paklava. And I couldn't leave without getting some fresh bread. I talked with Eddie, the owner, for a bit. He's so kind and if there's something you can't find, he'll help you get it. It's always a pleasure shopping here. They have the best international food items and excellent customer service. I highly recommend checking it out.

They really stay on top of the quality of what is on their displays. I've experienced other chain stores having rotting vegetables as a standard. They leave things out beyond sale quality. I've never experienced this at Nob Hill. While some of their prices might be a little higher, you get what you pay for when shopping. They do have an awesome app that gives Monday $5 deals and there are always other sale coupons weekly. You can order your groceries online and have them delivered or the store will shop for you and you can go curbside and they will bring them to your car. I really like the professionalism and the consistency of this market. It's definately a five star market.

The credit card reader then wouldn't take my transaction, giving the same problem as the self checkout, so I paid cash. As I mentioned the computer difficulties and frustration to the clerk, the cashier at the neighboring checkstand, a middle-aged balding guy, suddenly got some kind of attitude. He spoke to me in a very condescending manner. His carefully selected words were so faux respectful, but his tone of condescent implied he wanted me out immediately. Definitely not the same operation Michael ran at Hale & Main.

I also love that they sell Felicia organic Italian pasta. Their red lentil penne is my absolute favorite. I also buy the chickpea fusilli and decided to try out the brown rice and spirulina spaghetti this time around. I love that it's made with organic whole grains and legumes filled with nutrients. I haven't found it at any other store, so I always stock up when I go to Eataly. It gets packed inside so it can be pretty hard to maneuver around when you're actually shopping. The self-checkout line moves pretty fast. I wish they had more vegan candy and snack options like Fida Bonelle jellies and Puntini Italian jujubes. I was looking for vegan Nocciolata but did not see it, perhaps it was out of stock? Not sure but I'd expect them to have it.

I've made my review today 3 stars because of their restaurants. I booked an outdoor table at Terra for a birthday celebration, but we were seated inside due to the outdoor area being fully booked. While I understand Friday evenings are busy and changes can happen, I was disappointed by the restaurant's response when I asked if they could honor our reservation. The food was hit or miss. We really enjoyed the vegetarian ravioli and burrata appetizer, but the chicken skewers were undercooked and not seasoned. Overall, I'd definitely recommend checking out Eataly for their special events, but would skip dining at the sit down restaurants!

He really does the best for his customers as does his assistant Lisa Silva. HIs dried apricots are miles ahead of the poor quality imported "Mediterranean apricots" from Turkey which are tasteless and colorless. The quality is well worth the price at Andy's. They only do tastings during the summer months, so it is a bummer we can't go ahead until next year but we are totally already looking forward to it! Each ticket was $25 for adults, or anyone over 11 years old. Children under 11 are free and there are discounted prices for seniors. I want to take bet that we probably tried over 50types of peaches, nectarines, plums and other fruit varieties. And even though you are only to take 1-2 pieces of each variety, my plate was full at the end of each section. Who would've thought there are like 20+ different kinds of peaches in the Silicon Valley? Some of my favorites were the Snow Beauty peaches, the Italian Ice peaches, as well as the green gage plums. But many were delicious and after awhile, they start to taste the same but they were still flavorful. The kids enjoyed fruit picking on the tour of the orchard and were able to pick some and taste along the way. You can purchase by the pound the fruit you pick or you can get some at the store. They also sell chocolate covered treats and desserts in the shop. Overall, still highly recommend trying this out. You can also just visit them and purchase fruit by the pound. I like that they have a"cheaper" section for "ugly" fruits and I was able to snag a couple of bags of delicious peaches there.

Definitely a lot to look and and the variety is top notch with lots that are difficult to find elsewhere if you're not specifically at a European market. While checking out, I was eyeballing some of the chocolates that they had at the counter and the gentleman working was super nice enough to give my boyfriend and I some samples. I've been driving by here for more years than I want to admit, and finally went in and was surprised and delighted by all the specialty foods and astounding selection that they offer. It is so full of foods from eastern Europe, and even Middle Eastern foods, that I either barely recognize or had no idea existed. The variety is astounding. I'm so glad to have an option like this so close to home.

We are for sure coming back for some frozen dumplings next time we're in the mood... they had a huge selection. Fun!
