There's a few tables and chairs to enjoy your drink and/or pastry and it's shaded. The patio is pet friendly. We ordered the iced filter coffee and it was nice, strong and smooth. We also got their seasonal flavor orange cream latte and it was so delicious. The orange was light in flavor but enough to taste the orange notes and the consistency with the whole milk was decadent. Good artistry pulling it all together. Today though, I strayed from the usual cappu and tried their mocha. Damn. May possibly be a top 3 mocha in my life. As you'd expect, the base espresso, milk, process, they all matter here; but the key decision here is which chocolate to integrate in. And Verve's chocolate is quite amazing. I hear they make their own chocolate, so to imitate this at home would mean figuring out their in-house recipe. But damn...in the meantime, I'll be back for that mocha.

They also have limited-time coffee specials and sell coffee beans, which seem quite popular. The owner is very friendly. I tried the Vietnamese iced coffee, which came with the owner's recommendation to add pandan and coconut milk. It was bold and delicious, though I wished the serving size was larger - just a few sips and it was gone. Despite the smaller size, the prices are reasonable. I look forward to trying other drinks in the future.

As a small business, River Phin finds it's greatest strength not only in making a great product, but also being able to connect directly with customers at the farmers market and online. They sell whole beans on their website and in-person, but if you need them ground like my friend they can accommodate. Jana offered to grind the night before, paid via Venmo, and I picked it up the next morning! At the farmers market, I also got the Old Fashioned Vietnamese coffee - rich in flavor and great to sip on. Right at 9am, there is a line to order. Looks like one of the hottest tents at the market! I'm glad I was able to catch them before leaving town.
