Located at the entranceway to Forest Way Shopping Centre, Cappucino King is always busy. No matter what time of day you're there, it's always busy. The domain of stay-at-home mothers and the area's many pensioners, Cappucino King can be hard to get a table at - Tetsuya's, eat your heart out!
It's so popular for a few reasons - the staff are friendly, chatty and remember who you are - not really a huge ask if you come in every day of the week, but it's nice to feel special. The proprietor, Bill, is especially charming. Unlike many cafés and coffee shops, it also offers real food - if you want a ham and cheese sandwich, or a little salad, then you can get one. Of course, the obligatory café fare is also on offer, with the banana bread and mini cupcakes doing a particularly impressive trade. The coffee itself is ok; a little bit weak for my tastes, but that's probably a blessing in disguise for the caffeine addicted amongst us.
If you're feeling worn out from your visit to the neighbouring Woolworths, then Cappucino King is a great spot to sit and recharge your batteries - provided that you can get a table! read more
