2/19/2019: Capitol Kirby is righteously AWESOME! I'm so elated Charles repaired my G3 Kirby upright vacuum as BRAND NEW! Shame on me for not tuning up my G-3, since 2K but, oh, well: It was worth every penny spent having Charles overhaul, repair, clean, and replace the belt inside my vacuum. Now, operating the G3 sounds smooth and the belt drive just easily glides over the carpet, tile, and wood flooring whereas before repairing, operating the G3 was an arduous, unhappy task vacuuming my house. Just watch and listen to my G3 in operation via the video I shot: Simply amazingly smooth! I can't thank Charles enough for repairing my G3 Kirby! This is absolutely the best place to get your Kirby serviced. Great service!!! In today's society companies make this so that they break in a few years only to sell you another version with slight upgrades. The Kirby I have is 25 years old. It was working really well until recently it started making a funny noise. I took it to Capital Kirby to get it serviced and within a minute he was able to diagnose the problem of a broken fan. Since the Kirby wasn't serviced for about 20 years I decided to get it serviced and have the fan replaced. Capitol Kirby took apart my vacuum and cleaned out the motor/insides, repaired my broken fan, cleaned the bag, installed a new bag, installed a new belt, and polished the metal so it had a mirror finish. For the fraction of the cost of a new Dyson, I was able to totally refurbish my vacuum. read more

Charles is AWESOME !! I brought my Kirby in to be serviced. I got it back in a couple of days. I was surprised to see he even polished the metal and it looked like I just purchased it. He did an awesome job. There was one time I was shampooing my rugs with the Kirby attachments and couldn't figure out why the power wouldn't stay on, I called and left a message saying I was going to have to bring it in. He called me back and asked if I had the water reservoir locked in position I checked and that was the problem. He's so super helpful. Not only that he is a great storyteller! I am impressed! I called just to see if I needed to schedule an appt for my Kirby, and the friendly gentleman on the line told me no appts necessary, but then asked about the problem. He instructed me on how to fix it at home and said if it didn't work "just bring it on in" & it would only take him a few minutes to check it out. Wow....on my G4 Kirby, the impeller grenaded and motor stopped...yikes! Went down to see Joe at Capital Kirby, and he got me fixed up right away in about an hour. New impeller, brushes, wheels, and a headlamp....she's better than new (well almost:)) Joe was very professional, patient, and explained everything every step of the way. He is fast, courteous, and really cares for his customers. He won't sell you ANYTHING you DON"T NEED. I recommend him highly. Charles was so awesome! Trekked all 3 of my kiddos up to Sacramento from Benicia to get my 12 yr. old Kirby fixed for the first time and had the best customer service. EXTREMELY HELPFUL!! Took a moment to explain the inner and outter workings of my vacuum.

First of all, I am a do-it myself kind of guy. I have a 1990s model Kirby vacuum. Vacuum wasn't working so I took it apart and did some trouble shooting. Figured out it needed a part. Found this place on the web. I get there and guy (Charles) greets me in the parking lot and grabs my tub of parts that was once my kirby vacuum and hauls it inside. He has it stripped down even more within 5 minutes. He ran a few diagnostics and determined that low and behold I had actually diagnosed the problem correctly (rare). He pulled out the replacement part on the spot, and fired up the unit. BOOM. Then, he teaches me all about the vacuum. Part was a pricey one (power supply- $50) but he didn't charge me any labor for the diagnostic testing he did since I was going to rebuild. I also needed an additional small plastic cover which he threw in for free. It's not often these days when you have such a POSITIVE EXPERIENCE with a business that you feel the need to recommend it. This place is one in a million. The customer service was actually real customer service, and the staff knows their vacuums inside and out. I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

They asked me a few questions about the vacuum and over the phone they walked me through checking for clogs. Turned out there was a clog that I could easily remove. At first we were thrilled with our new Kirby. The Salesman was great and the manager even came to pick him up from our house and answered more questions. The manager even called someone when he did not know the answer to a financing question. The here's where the whole thing went side ways. I am a senior citizen and cannot totally understand some of these contract today. I asked if the contract was simple interest and was told three times by three different people that it was. It was confirmed by the salesman...the manager and the person on the phone SIMPLE INTEREST, today I called to pay off the balance and since it was one month past the one year date they added all the interest. When I called them the said well...you should have read the contract closer. SENIORS BEWARE. I know about same as cash deals and they told me this was not one of those...liars! Now the vacuum costs me $500 more...good job Kirby...scammed another senior. read more

It can't get any better than this. Charles explained everything possible that could be wrong with my Kirby vacuum cleaner and then what it MIGHT cost. No bull. I have a a bit of experience in vacuum repair and knew he wasn't giving me a song and dance... My vacuum was repaired in a very timely manner and at less cost than anticipated. A company in Rocklin had quoted twice as much just to look at it. This is old style customer support and service with excellent quality!!! read more

I didn't catch the name of the gentleman at Capitol Kirby but he was fantastic. I had a worn belt in my Kirby and took it in so he could give it a general look see in case anything else was wrong. As others remarked, he came out to my car to carry the Kirby in, spent a good ten minutes explaining how to install the new belt and how to clean it myself, went ahead and cleaned out the parts hat needed cleaning, and only charged me the $8 for the three belts. He then picked up the vacuum and carried it back out to my car for me. He was so nice and extremely knowledgeable. Told me the exact early 90s year that my Kirby was manufactured. I highly recommend Capitol Kirby and will return in the future I am sure. read more
