It looks like there may be a banquet or event space attached. Walking inside, the place has a great rustic vibe with a mix of wood and metal finishes. Definitely a well done atmosphere and a comfortable place to sit down for a meal. I originally ordered wings and specifically asked for them extra crispy since I am not a fan of soft wings. Unfortunately, they came out the opposite, so I sent them back and decided to switch things up. Instead, I went with a cup of roasted corn chowder. It came out hot, but overall it was just average. Nothing bad, just nothing that stood out. At that point, after the wings miss and an average soup, I will be honest, my expectations for the main course were starting to dip a bit. But the entrée completely turned things around. I went with the bruschetta chicken with wild rice and grilled vegetables, and it really delivered. Presentation was excellent with two nicely plated chicken breasts over wild rice with zucchini, squash, and onions. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and everything had great flavor. This dish definitely made up for the earlier hiccups. Service wise, Elizabeth was attentive, friendly, and very apologetic about the wing issue, which I appreciated. Overall, I would land at a solid 4 stars. I would come back again, but I will not be ordering the wings. When someone orders crispy, they mean crispy.

The chicken and waffles board was a hit. We got 2 brunch boards which were enjoyable but the added prosciutto was kind of odd. Did not care for the shrimp and grits. We had our minds set on breakfast but no big deal decided to order the "New Castle Cheesesteak". As we were sitting there an older gentleman comes in and orders breakfast...I proceed to say oh we're we able to order breakfast? She responds with your sandwich is almost done anyways. Mind you this waitress never smiled once since we arrived and seemed to have an attitude the whole time. Our sandwich comes out and the meat was dry, chewy, and flavorless. Needless to say the dogs might enjoy it when we bring it home to them. The waitress asked "what's wrong, don't you like it". I say it's fine because there is nothing else that I could possibly want from there. It smells of grease when you come in and now I'm also leaving with the smell as well. Then the woman cooking said as I was checking out if you wanted breakfast you should have just asked....what a headache. I said it's fine I just want to get out of here because honestly It's not worth my breath. Not sure this review is even worth it. Honestly order the water it was the best thing I had here.

I will review each item. Slaw: typical KFC out of a 3 gallon tub slaw. Looks like they added green peppers to make it look home made. 1/5 Beans: had a very distinctive taste. I couldn't quite pick out what it reminded me of. Yesterday's hamburger meat was added. Someone tell Jimmy this is baked beans not chili. Ribs: undersized and over priced. Not sure what type of equipment they use to cook them but they were way over cooked on too high of a heat. The seasoning made it taste like beef jerky. I had my other half with their house sauce. Nothing special either. End result is that it's not worth the drive or price. Your better off driving to Clem's or Ruby Tuesdays if your not in the mood for a road trip. Will I go back? For dinner? NO. For breakfast? Il wait till someone recommends it.

******CASH ONLY********…read more The Oak Grove Inn, located on 488 heading towards Portersville, is a small dive bar with an inviting atmosphere, plenty of TVs, and a great selection of beer. It's a popular spot among locals for catching a game and enjoying some delicious wings. I had heard rave reviews about their wings, so I decided to give them a try for myself. Upon my visit, I was pleased to find that the wings lived up to the hype. I ordered the General Alex, which is a combination of their General Tso's sauce and Lickers sauce (not on the menu, but available upon request). The wings were large, cut wings - not small wing pieces, but not whole wings either. They were perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and tender, juicy meat inside. The General Alex sauce had the perfect balance of spice and flavor, making for a truly satisfying wing experience. In addition to the General Alex, I also tried their garlic wings. These were equally delicious, with a rich, garlicky flavor that paired well with the crispy exterior of the wings. This location is a smoking establishment so please respect this bars right to do as they please. With that said, this location upon both of my visits had very little to no smoke smell in its haul. Pictured left is the General Alex and pictured right is the garlic wings. They come in 10's and 5's. I enjoy watching Steelers games at this location with their many tv's and their delicious wings from time to time. The atmosphere, beer selection, and wings make it a must-visit spot for anyone in the area.
