Tim's Auto Repair & Service

Tim's Auto Repair & Service

July 3 2019 Super impressed with the service at Tim's:…read more My Dad had just arrived from a 20 hr drive, to meet his new grand baby, with his two dogs and 77 year old sister in tow. He flipped a u-turn at the light and his whole engine seized up. 5:30 am was a terrible time to get a phone call about what happened. Luckily AAA was able to get a wonderful tow service company to drive us to Tim's to drop off the car. I had found Tim's on Yelp with great reviews. Never had been there but knew of it, as we have drove passed it a few dozen times before. It was also convenient because it was right down the street from the hotel where my dad was staying. We made it there 5 minutes after opening. I went in while my dad finished up with the tow truck. I explained the situation. They were understanding of the but apologetic, as they were fully booked till Monday next week! My heart sunk. However, they told me they could get the car a diagnostic test to see what the problem was, since it was early enough to get it looked at. Apparently there were a few other people from out of town needing their car fixed just as quick as we needed our done. At that point I figured we would just have it towed to another shop. Jeff and (I believe) Ray were the ones who helped us. They were extremely friendly and gracious. I received a call as a back up, around 2pm. They found the issue. Minor compared to what we thought it was. They said since it was a smaller repair they could have the parts and car fixed by 4:30!!! I was ecstatic. They knew our dyer situation and were able to work it out. My dad was so grateful for the speedy service they provided. THANK YOU TIM'S Auto Repair Service, you saved my dad's trip from being a total disaster.

Felt very uncomfortable there as a woman. They didn't seem like they wanted business. Not sure if they only work on cars that aren't this decade, but not helpful & a complete waste of my time!

I completely trust this shop with my vehicles and know they have completed great work. I only ask what I owe them to pay for my bills, I known I have been charged very fair labor rates and parts too. I recommend anyone to bring their repairs to this shop. Tom Taylor

Beware of this business. Avoid using them for a tow. Let everyone know…read more ⁣ So. My son forgot to move his car and, as warned, he got towed. That's on him. ⁣ We received no notification of the tow, and had to track the car down. This company - AATCO Transmissions and Towing - charged him the unreasonably high price of $285 towing + $35 storage for the day. ⁣ To be clear I'm not complaining that he was towed, and we would have been fine paying a reasonable fee, but that price gouging for a 1.5 mile tow of a Subaru Outback is criminal! ⁣ I asked to negotiate down the price and they were unwilling. The part that got under my skin the most although was the excuses and lies. ⁣ "I can't make those decisions." "I can't call the person who does." "He doesn't read texts." (A tow company that doesn't take calls or texts from the office. Really?! ) ⁣ The owner was finally called, and he did answer the phone. After their complaining about how difficult it was to move a Subaru Outback from an otherwise empty parking lot (yeah, read that again) they dropped the storage fee. ⁣ After this, we contacted Nampa PD (should have started there) to see if they reported that they towed the car. They are legally responsible to do so. PD had no record of the car being towed (even though AATCO told us they did report it - another lie ) So, I guess they basically stole it! ⁣ And I'm not alone in complaining about this. There have been many complaints and bad reviews on this business. ⁣ Hopefully The Station Apartments at Gateway will read this and other complaints and choose a honest company to work with in the future. . . . #cityofnampa #wherenottogo #businessreview #transmission #towingservice #mechanic

If they find a problem they send a picture of the problem/area and a recommendation to fix it. I took my truck in for a brake job and an oil change. Somewhere along the line in getting new tires and an alignment (by others) the wheel lock "key" went missing. I didn't realize it until Archer's called. Long story short, they had to break the locks on all 4 wheels. The only additional charge was for the lug nuts to replace the locks! They even apologized for not getting the locks off without damaging them. The brake job, with new rotors, was less than I was quoted by another shop resurfacing the existing rotors. I highly recommend Archers for any auto repair work.
