We were expecting an upscale restaurant experience. We had a 9:30 reservation for our family of…read morefour. It was this or 7:30 but we opted for the later one as we had been out all day and wanted to give the kids some time in the pool. We thought it would be a late night and hoped to have the kids in bed ~11pm. Oh boy were we wrong. We arrived about 10 mins early and were asked to take a seat downstairs and were told they were running about 15 minutes late. An hour later we were seated upstairs only after we chased down the hostess. So it's 10:30 and we go to place our orders straight away (we had plenty of time to study the menu). Unfortunately a lot of the dishes are not available including the shrimp cocktail. At 11:30 the starter comes out. And it's after midnight by the time our mains arrive. My wife and kids left the restaurant at ~12:45 and I joined the line to pay the bill. I was out there shortly after 1am. This was the worst service we have ever experienced. I gave them 2 stars because the restaurant itself is magnificent. It's built into the cliff face and overlooks the ocean. That said the lift you take to restaurant stinks and the bathroom did not have a lock. I checked the receipt today and realized they charged us for the shrimp cocktail they didn't have. If you must go to this place I recommend you book as early as possible before they get busy and everything goes sideways. Everyone in the restaurant was upset.

I planned a visit here months ahead because of the ambiance. The bar is located in a beautiful…read morebeach with spectacular views. We arrived right before opening and they were still setting up. I ordered their omelet and it was not the best. This is more of a place for dinner and cocktails with a view rather than brunch.

We came here on with the Gate 1 group on a Wednesday night in November. It was the late show, 9:30,…read moreand we were the ONLY people there. I don't know if that means it was the off season or they closed it for us, but being the only audience of 15-19 people felt like the royal treatment. Our ticket included 2 drinks. We were instructed not to take pictures or videos DURING the performance, but rather afterward, during the curtain calls. We had eaten at Mt Olivo earlier so we did not eat, just had drinks. They were so good about explaining what each piece meant. We enjoyed the excerpts from Bizet's Carmen, the group pieces, music, and the solos. The artwork was beautiful too! I did not use the restroom so I can't speak to how they were. They are also very savvy; they sell fans, castanets, and other knick knacks for people who fall in love with flamenco music! I did not buy any but I kind of wish I did. I'd go back when it's busier, but I admit having a bar 'to myself' kind of spoiled me!

Such a powerful performance by this group. This was the first time seeing a Flamenco performance…read morelive so I can't really compare this to anything. The venue at El Patio Sevillano is small and intimate, perhaps it seats no more than 200 seats. Which is perfect because there isn't a bad seat in the house!! We also ordered Spanish bier and vino, prior to the show starting, they'll come to your seat. Flamenco, from what I understand, was born from a marginalized group in Andalusia, called the Gitanos. From the southern region of Spain, Flamenco came about in the late 1800s. I can see that - some of the best music and art has been spurned by angst. I didn't realize that wailing is a big part of this soulful performance, along with the dancing, use of hand clappers and using the right shoes for tapping and stomping the floor. I highly recommend coming here for this performance, you won't be disappointed. And we're all trying to keep our gluteus Maximus tight - perhaps this would be a great hobby to take up, to stay in great shape..
