Apply for new Credit Card, approved for new credit card, active new credit card but I am force to call customer service to activate Card activated and the next day I used it for 3 purchases; however 2 days after activating I can to buy a new tv and declined! While at the store, i called customer service and passed the same security checks but I am not secured enough to buy my new tv the point of get this card. I am 3 miles from my house, the billing/mailing address of the my card and where i have lived for 10 years now.... Denied! So capital one makes it easy for me ( cough ) snd offers to email me link (great, I can do you from my phone and in the store) and needs me to return a picture of driver license, front and back... (yeah, yeah) still i can fo that for the store too... then I need to wait 72 hours for a response???? I never been treated so badly by bank. I closed my account and will never use Capital One again. I have rarely have had a company lose my business in just 2 days. Does capital one really give a bunch of new cards without really checking who is truly applying for them? read more

There's literally no place to deposit cash into your account. I use Capital One for my personal banking AND my car financing. I have cash to pay my car payment but I can't pay them because I can't deposit the cash at an ATM in my town. I call customer service and they tell me to give the cash to someone I trust, have them write me a personal check for the same amount and then mobile deposit it into my account to pay them. WTF! If u know there's no physical bank, at least give us ATMs that accept cash deposits. I do appreciate that they are lenient on overdraft fees. read more

I have been a capital one credit card customer for 21 years. During that time I have provided my kids and grandkids cards as authorized users for when they are short between paydays or when debit cards should not be used. I maintain a very small credit limit because this is a card that I have additional authorized users on and I want to ensure that my balance is never above $500. Because of common use amongst three of us, I often make multiple payments per month. The payment is reflected immediately and available for use provided I make the payment prior to the cut off time each night. This has been the way it has worked for years. Recently I made a $200 payment and it did not reflect in my balance, or available credit. I decided to wait a day and check it and still it did not appear. It showed the payment was made, the money was taken out of my bank account, but it did not show up in my available credit. When I called customer service I was told at first it was because I made more than one payment in the month so it puts it on hold for 26 days. Wrong. I always make multiple payments in a month and that has never happened to me before. The next excuse they offered was that I had used a new bank account that they weren't familiar with and that is what put the payment on hold for 26 days. Wrong. I had made payments with this account twice the prior month with no problem or delay. When I asked to speak with someone who could correct this obvious error of payment put on hold for 26 days, I was told that department refused to take my call. I asked if I were to make another payment could I be assured that it would not be put on hold, but since no one could answer why this was put on hold to begin with they told me they couldn't guarantee that. I asked for a email address that I could send a help request to and I was told they only communicate by phone, by fax or by letter mailed. Again I have held this account for 21 years without ever experiencing this issue, and yet no one could resolve it. I'm hoping that someone in a leadership role at capital one sees this and maybe reaches out to me. I've been in management - including customer service management - for 35 years and it's incomprehensible to me that they have no working escalation process that could have resolved this nor do they have any problem-solving or decision-making capacity and capability to provide real customer service. Once I move my few auto payments off of this card, CapOne will no longer "be in my wallet." read more

Today I recieved a gift card in the mail from my creditor Capital ONE. They heard that I had major surgery Last year and they told me this is for Gas or whatever I want to use it for. WOW! The Lady on the phone was nice and ask me How I was feeling today. I said BLESSED TO BE ALIVE! It's a good thing when you be transparent with the ones you deal with weather it's Business,Family, or Otherwise we are all human and sometimes our Body and Health does Fail us. I called in to check on a payment sent to pay on my Capone Visa & MC, I sent these payments via 2 day priority and tracking states that the payments had been received my Capone. I called to inquire the status of the payment and the first representative passed me on to someone by the name of Kaia, who introduced herself and a senior status customer service employee. She said that she worked out of the Chesapeake, VA location. The so called senior person was rude, short, curt and talked over me again and again. At one point, I had to say whoa whoa, wait, I am an 11 year customer that is trying to get answers and your tone is very rude and condescending. The person needs to be demoted as she definitely lacks the skills and professional disposition to be in a position of authority. read more
