I have only been to the K street location but this Timberlake location is also nice. These reviews mention Dr. Susan Wilson and she is the only reason I went to this location. She performed a procedure that could not be done at the K street location. Timberlake had the right equipment and the patient care was fantastic. Dr. Wilson and the receptionist at the front desk were very kind. They both took their time with me by asking questions and getting to know me as a person. Sadly, Dr. Wilson is moving on to another adventure with her career and I am excited for her. I am blessed to have worked with her over the years and am very appreciative that she was able to help me and my women's health. read more

Honestly, this OB/GYN is one of the most horrible ones that you could take your partner to they'll schedule your appointment and have you waiting for two hours+ your appointment time on top of all of that their doctors completely lied through their teeth. They tell people that they don't give ultrasound if their medical doesn't cover it even if you're willing to pay for the out-of-pocket expense and at my 37th week appointment I was letting them know that I was having pain and Dr. Camille just let me know that they were Braxton Hicks and then I ended up having my baby that night and she never gave me my cervix check on that 37th week appointment. She lied to the receptionist and told her that I said I didn't want it when that is not what happened. She told me that if I got my swab test done that night then I would not be able to do my cervix exam because she would not have time for it, but I did let her know that I was scared because I was having pain that I did not know that were contractions because like I was being told from the doctor, they were Braxton Hicks, but if she were to have done her job and checked my cervix like my appointment was scheduled for then she would've known. I was in active labor, currently two months almost 3 postpartum and the only helpful people there are the receptionist definitely do not recommend very horrible office read more

Impossible to get through to staff, they just transfer you until a message comes up that the number is disconnected. Recorded message says refills can take up to 24 hours but after 5 days still no answer. Seek care elsewhere. read more

Usually I would've left a 5 star. I'd been going here since I was pregnant. I'm now 2 month postpartum. While at my daughter's pediatrician, I was asked if I received the RSV shot. I couldn't find the care I received on the Capital OBGYN site so I called and asked them to check, I was on hold for 6 min. just to get my call answered with attitude. I explain the situation and she (again with attitude) responded "are you sure you received that here?" I told her, "yes, you are the only facility I had been to during pregnancy." She said she'll check their system and told me to hold on... only for me to get hung up on! I called back and was on hold for half the time and a different woman answered, but again answered with an attitude! All she kept saying was "you didn't receive that here, we don't offer that". So then how did I have an appointment during pregnancy, speak to a doctor there and them OFFER ME THE SHOT, saying that I can only get it when pregnant for my baby!? The woman said "the last receptionist you spoke with already called the back office and they said we don't offer that here." I'm annoyed enough from this experience for me to leave this review. Cause obviously they have information mixed up, either from a doctor offering it, or the women at front desk. And it's sad to say, cause throughout 10 months of me coming, they had been wonderful. read more

I've had Kaiser my entire life but due to a job change, we're stuck with different insurance for the time being and Capital was super close to home so I chose them. I called to make an appointment for both myself and daughter and was given an appointment 1 full month out, definitely not used to that long of a wait for an appointment but it is what it is. I was left a message the day before my appointment to say the Dr I was scheduled with would not be in and I had to reschedule. Needless to say, I was pissed because I had already waited a month, but thankfully when I called them back, they were able to still get me in the same day but at an even better time just with a NP versus a Dr. Parking was easy, it's a fairly large complex with multiple businesses and Dr offices in it so the lot has several parking spots. Check in was also easy, just type in your name on a computer and that's it. It was also very clean. I will say the drapes they give you to cover yourself are like tissue paper and rip very easily and they also barely cover you, so if you're modest, ask for 2 of them. Based on other reviews, I was worried I would be waiting past my appointment time to be seen but both myself and my daughter were called back 10 minutes before our scheduled time. My Nurse Practitioner was nice and thorough. She swapped out my birth control with minimal pain which is a huge plus in my book. I do need a referral for a specialty service so I'm still waiting on that. They said it could take up to 2 weeks, which again is crazy to me since I could normally get the specialty service I need same day with Kaiser, but again, it is what it is. Overall this place is fairly decent and no where near as bad as I was anticipating. read more

So sad to see that clinic like this stay open. I have had great experiences with much better and caring OBGYN offices. I can't believe how terrible this one is. The office smells, I've given it a couple of chances, the bathrooms are disgusting, lab results done come in for weeks, they are too over booked, they can't even see their patients when their doctors recommend, their message system is the only thing that responds at a timely manner and they aren't even helpful. It is a huge difference between this clinic and other clinics. If only my insurance didn't change, I would never pick this place on my own. Currently looking for better places to get prenatal care. Lots of parking space but hard to find parking cuz it's always packed. Usually around lunch most employees leave so there are a few open spots. So do plan to come early if you don't want to be late to your appointments. Also, they're located on the second floor at the end of a long hallway so you'll get your exercise in. I started coming here beginning of Jan. During Covid and they were pretty good with not having too many patients in the lobby & practiced/set safe distances between patients. They had the men sit outside in the hallways so it wouldn't be too crowded. (But they don't do that anymore) They also allowed your SO to come with you into the room when they call you to be seen. They will check both your temperature. So when you get there you Check in at kiosk. Then sit down and wait for them to call your name which may take a few mins sometimes... They'll ask basic info about you / covid. If it's your first time plan on coming in 15 mins early to fill out paperwork. Then you take a seat again and wait for someone to call you which may take half an hr to 45 mins... depends on the time and if they're busy which they usually are, but they do what they can to get patients in and out. Once you get seen you'll be waiting for a good 10-20 mins sometimes before seeing the doctor, because they do basic BP checks and ask questions... then you wait for the doctor. The time with the doc will be fast so make sure you come prepared with questions and concerns. I've seen a midwife and a doctor so far and they're pretty knowledgeable but the midwife sort of lacked in some areas of my concern. The whole time I was here, everyone always gets the place that I chose to deliver at wrong & so I have to repeat myself time and time again, idk why they bother asking if it's not important because obviously it should've been known and remembered if it was. Besides that the assistants sometimes tell you that they will give you documents you need or whatever you asked for and they always forget, so make sure to tell the doctor or ask the receptionist about if they never come back with what you need before you leave. They also have water and tiny cups under the tv if you get thirsty so that's a plus & tv that play kid shows constantly to entertain your child or maybe even you. I never see any kids here only newborns which is good because this place can get a bit crowded but it's safer to leave them with someone during Covid. It's not that bad of a place besides it being kinda slow sometimes but that's to be expected. I think only one time I had to change the paper on the examination table because the assistant did not change it after the patient left. I mean it's pretty noticeable someone sat there already because it can clearly see the shape of the persons behind. Also with Covid that's kinda unsanitary and gross esp if you had to undress from waist down... The receptionists are okay, but there's a girl that sits on the right that's always helpful and nice and always calls me right away when I check in at the kiosk or try to make the next appointment unless she's busy. Never got her name and don't see her anymore so that's a shame. The other receptionists are meh. They seem to not care much. Also it's hard to hear them cuz they don't speak loud enough and since there's a divider cuz of Covid it's even worse. I guess you can try to read their lips and take a guess. The only reason why I'm giving it a 4/5 star is because the doctor I'm seeing is knowledgeable, caring, and thorough. As for the midwife, she was very kind but just not as knowledgeable and somewhat not thorough with her explanations. The assistant that gave me a shot was very good! I never got her name but she was Asian and I'm pretty scared of getting shots but my shot was painless! And quick! I was surprised that it had already ended before I could even brace myself. Also, Their restrooms are also pretty clean so that's good sign. I would come back here again if I need an OB. I hope it gets better or stays the same but idk how normal operating hours are outside during Covid but I hope it's the same if not better. Minus one star because of wait time & unsanitary practices as mentioned above somewhere in my review & the missing documents I requested for without having to ask again. That's pretty much it! After switching insurance and finding out I was pregnant I was skeptic on switching offices and my provider. I was warmly welcomed by staff, the quality of care they provide is 10/10. They work fast depending on your needs even when you need a prescription refilled or a fax for a referral. I don't have much bad to say about this office besides when making an appointment at times they are busy and I've waited almost 45 mins in the waiting room waiting to be called back. Every time I have been here, all staff has been friendly. Have not had a bad a experience with anyone, today my medical assistant was June, and I really appreciated how attentive she was with my concerns as I am about 20 wks with my third pregnancy. Only down side-- parking spaces are tight and small. But if you get here early enough will most likely always find an empty space or wont have to wait too long for a space to unfill. 10/10 would recommend coming here read more

I want to say Dr. Carlson is AMAZING. I've been seeing since mid-year. I had a problem for a long time and seen many Doctors and everyone would say "it's a women thing". She beleived my pain was real and had labs, x-rays, ultrasounds, and MRI. Finally some who believed in me. She explained every detail of the surgery I was to have very thoroughly. Every time I go in for my appointments I'm always taken care of and treated so well. Especially a huge shout out to Jennifer Feeney, she is AMAZING. I only started seeing her at the start of my pregnancy and I am now 32 weeks along, going to all of my check up appointments you can tell that she really cares about her patients and she's always super thorough on making sure you are doing okay and everything with your pregnancy is going smoothly. I have to say I really do love Dr. Watters she amazing very compassionate, caring and thorough. I do like the west sacramento clinic much better than the south sacramento clinic though. Yes there is always a wait time which put my extremely busy schedule off but I felt it was worth to continue under the care of Dr. Watters. The front staff and medical assistants have been helpful I think they do the best they can. I was actually very sad after I delivered my baby and would no longer been seeing Dr. Watters because she really does care about all her patients. This place is a freaking joke. There's so much more to this story but here's a little tidbit of my shitty time. Came in for a suture removal with Matthew Susanka. WORST VIST EVER! Had ovarian surgery on the 31st of last month and the stitches won't come out ( I thought they were dissolvable stitches) came in for them to be removed because an Er doctor wouldn't take them out for liability reasons( Dr. Alison Hastings sucked major butt on my ovarian surgery!). Dr. Susanka told me to my face that ER DOCTORS DONT KNOW A THING ABOUT STITCHES BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT SURGEONS! ( My bf had gotten 13 stitches when he fractured his jaw which was done by an Er doctor 2 months previous!). Told him to please be careful since the area is really tender, totally ignored me, took some scissors and snipped at the skin to get my stitches, ignored me telling him to stop because I wasn't ok with him taking scissors to cut my skin. I mean who is? ENDED UP TELLING ME THAT THERE WASNT ANYMORE AND THAT I WAS SEEING THINGS! I have the stitch I CUT/ took out myself. CAPITAL OBGYN IS JUST TERRIBLE. Reported ‍ read more

Service is not so great. They don't keep track of your charts. When you come in for a check up after a miscarriage they congratulate you on your pregnancy which is fucking rude. I've been here for both of my pregnancies and sadly both times with my miscarriages I was not handled with care and they were very insensitive. I'll revise my review after I meet with the new OB, but my experience was so miserable I just HAVE to leave one now. I was assigned Dr Matthew Susanka automatically through this office because I didn't specifically request someone. The nurses that come in and take all your vitals were lovely and listened to my concerns. Dr Susanka, on the other hand, was anything but lovely. He was terrible. I've never felt so dismissed and judged at a dr's apt as I did with the 5min I spent with him. He didn't listen to anything I had to say and was incredibly rude. I told him about my nausea concerns with my pregnancy, as my last pregnancy resulted in me basically not eating because I couldn't keep anything down. This one has been on track to be worse than the first. He told me, go on down to Walmart and pick up a ton of Gatorade. I told him that I tried that the first time, it gives me severe heartburn and I throw it up. He told me, well then don't CHUG it, sip it. WTF!? I KNOW it doesn't work for me. I'll throw it up immediately, and it's not going to solve my nausea issues at all. He said yes it will, then left. I was so flustered that I didn't even get to talk to him about any of my other questions or issues. Anything I brought up, he shot down. Any concerns I had, he dismissed. I've never had such a miserable experience with a dr before. He has the personality of a stick in the mud. I've since requested a change in Dr's and I meet with a new one for my next apt and I can only hope it's a better experience. If they assign you Dr Susanka, RUN. read more

I absolutely had to take the time to thank office staff and medical personnel at Capitol OB/GYN for their superb patient care.  I always feel welcomed at the office, which can be challenging in the midst of pandemic. Furthermore, they do an excellent job at patient follow-up to ensure you're informed on results and/or status of appointments.  So all in all, this is an excellent clean and modern facility, with impeccable staff who truly seem to care about your wellbeing.  You're not just a number, but a human being who's worth their time.  If you've ever felt rushed during an appointment, negative energy by the physician, or a complete disconnect from medical staff, rest assured that will not occur here. Nothing but good things to say about the facility and staff, alike.  Last but not least, I realize there are several negative reviews on here, so I can only speak for myself. My personal experience has been amazing to current date, and I am comparing this to other facilities such as Kaiser which many might argue is better. This isn't a review on Kaiser, but I will say this--I got tired off feeling like I was on the conveyor belt of patients and sought a more individualized platform at Capitol OB/GYN. This office is terrible. I got a referral from my doctor to see Dr. Waters in June 2017 and could not get an appointment until December 2017. The day of my appointment I called to verify the address and learned that my appointment had been cancelled. (Which I was not notified). I rescheduled but could not get in until April 26, 2018. Today I cancelled and had to wait on the phone for ten to fifteen minutes. I am truly blessed that I am not a patient here. If I could I would give zero star.
