Michael Cantu is an industry double hitter as both a licensed Barber and Cosmetologist. Lets be honest here, sometimes a guy just wants a barber to cut his hair. Michael gave me the best hair cut which is hard to do as cutting my hair is more like shaping a bonsai tree. Growth patterns in every which way, and cowlicks in the least expected places. It is a challenge shrub to cut and shape. And, Michael rose to the challenge with confidence and a terrific sense of humor. The style is professional when I need it to be and versatile so I can make it fun for less stuffy occasions! Plus, he has extensive chemical experience so when I want to make it a fun and crazy color for Blood of Gods in July 2026, I am counting on Michael to help me go all out! The barbershop is a relaxing venue, kinda old school, in a vintage building that at one time may have been a mechanics shop! read more

Capital Barber Shop - Bangs cut by KC - Barbers Near Me - Walla Walla, Washington

What a great time. Traditionally when I get a hair cut or style I'm looking for something cheap and fast. Mostly because I'm a man and hair cuts for men are usually simple and straight forward. KC might have changed my opinion for life. I did my hair the way I like to right before I went in. I was early and KC wasn't quite done with the appointment before me. This gave me a chance to look around and do a bit of barber shop banter which is always fun. Come to discover he's applying for a beer and wine license looking forward to that in the future. Anyway, when KC was ready he asked me "what are we doing", I decided to roll the dice. "Just go for it" I said. He kept the same part that I had come in with but gave me this modern classic look. I actually was very shocked at how much better it made me look and feel. We talked about product and how I can style it at home so it turns out the same, which was great cause frankly I don't know what I'm doing. All in all I had a very great experience, loved the hair style, loved the space, loved the music, can't wait for the beer and wine, and I'm happy to see a classic barber shop that caters to men's hair styles. read more

The best haircut my boyfriend has ever had! We came during the Gentlemen of the Road - Walla Walla Stopover so I had made a reservation beforehand. There were two people waiting when we got there but the store is spacious, clean, and has a variety of magazines to flip through and merchandise to browse through to keep waiting folk happy. KC was very professional and an expert at what he does. Like I said, my boyfriend said it was the best haircut he's ever had (and at a very reasonable price too!). He kept smiling and looking at himself in the mirror so it was great to see him have confidence after a haircut for once. We will definitely be back if we ever make it down to Walla Walla again! I'm sure my boyfriend would love to try a quality shave one day. read more

I never leave reviews. I don't read many myself and have basically ignored leaving a review until today. I just had a haircut by Caitlin Bailey and she is one of the best to cut hair! She listened to everything I asked for, went out of her way to do an incredible job, and carried on a genuine conversation. This is the best haircut I have ever had and that's something I don't say lightly. If you want a true hair professional who is willing to go above and beyond then book your appointment now with Caitlin Bailey!!! read more

I had high hopes for this place. It looks amazing. By its quite possibly the most awkward haircut I've ever had. No clean up in the back even though I asked for it. I have an undercut with two hard parts, which looks decent enough. Took only twenty-thirty minutes. Paid 20+ tip because I'm not stingy. Asian hair when cut with the buzzer or shaved often makes what's called hair splinters, and either she didn't know or didn't clean me up enough cause I had hair splinters everywhere afterwards when I was driving away in the car. Service wise, I felt my stylist was off. I'm not picky at all with who cuts my hair. But I felt I've had better experiences overall at a Supercuts or a great clips. I've worked as a massage therapist and a server. I know good service. And I felt it was just a mediocre job with minimal attention to detail. All said, it's a great looking place and a decent cut, I just felt that my walkaway vibe was off and came out of it feeling weirdly awkward. I've had better for less. read more

Due to Covid, I had not cut my hair in two years. It was a mess. It thought it would be a real challenge and was prepared to accept any cut that was reasonable. Jessica's haircut was better than reasonable. It was perhaps my best haircut ever. I am 73 and have had a lot of haircuts. So "best ever" is saying something. I will definitely be back, Covid willing. read more

I always leave Capital Barber feeling and looking great. It's clean, has good natural light that comes in, and is a relaxing atmosphere. The prices are competitive, and the service is great. Denny gave me a haircut today and did a wonderful job. The staff are friendly and have always been able to figure out what I am looking for in my cryptic descriptions. Give them a shot. read more

I have tried many hair stylists over the years. K.C. Is the only person who I want to cut my hair. His haircuts don't just look good going out the door but they grow out really well too. Pros: 1. best haircut I have ever had 2. Good price 3. Nice atmosphere Cons: 1. KC is so busy you need to book ahead on Varago. 2. Once you have had a haircut here no where else will satisfy you. read more

Have lived in Walla Walla for two years and this was by far the best haircut I have received since living in Seattle. KC is a master. Incredibly convenient with on-line reservations. In and out quickly and the cut is always great. Wish I had found this place sooner! Won't go anywhere else now. read more

Yikes. Be careful about who you book to cut your hair here... My husband and I are new to the area, and found this place for a mens haircut. I tried to look at instagram to see which barber to book, but didn't see any reference to who had done the haircuts pictured. Unfortunately my husband ended up with a pretty terrible cut :/ Disappointed after reading all of the excellent reviews here. read more

This is the best place to get your hair cut in town! It is only slightly more expensive than cheap places, but the quality is so much higher. Many thanks to Rodney!! Very talented, personable and efficient. My son just got his hair cut and said "He's so nice and he even talked to me!" My son insists that Rodney cut his hair from now on and he can't stop looking in the mirror at his new cut! read more

I made a reservation a couple of days before online for this place and expected to be greeted, even with a "hey", but nope. I waited only a few minutes, but during this time I was getting a really bad vibe from the place. No music, no talking, and the guy that cut my hair was either really pissed-off or really mad about something prior to me sitting in the chair. The haircut was really awkward and uncomfortable. It felt as if he was mad at me. I am new to growing and styling a beard, so when asking questions about it, he responded like I was burdening him with them. Wow, I thought I should have made the appointment with one of the lady barbers. When he went to trim my neckline, he actually cut my neck, with an electric razor. I thought it was a pulled hair, as sometimes that happens. He let me leave with blood going down my neck, after a $20 tip. I found out about it when I looked in my rear view mirror as I left. I will not recommend this place to anyone, as this was the second and last visit. read more
