I was out walking around enjoying Walla Walla's Main Street and window shopping when I saw the Bee Hive. One look inside and you know this place has a cool vibe. From the exposed brick walls to the floor to ceiling mirror boxes at each station. I walked in hoping they might be able to cut my hair while we were in town. They gave me an appointment with Megan for the same day! Megan was incredibly thoughtful and thorough. She did a great consultation and communicated about her process throughout my hair appointment. She also gave me a nice scalp massage with the shampooing. I was totally relaxed and comfortable from her very professional and kind service. And my hair...it's GORGEOUS! She did a great job! It's exactly what I wanted. I will definitely drive 5 hours from the Seattle area to come have Megan cut and style my hair again! read more

I love the positive energy in this salon! It's in a great location too! It is light, bright and well appointed - which is very important when you are sitting in a chair for a couple hours. Moira, the owner is an exceptional hairstylist. She is great with color. I always leave feeling encouraged and uplifted. The shampoo is one of my favorite things because it comes with a scalp massage. It's the ultimate pampering when you're having your hair done. It's an easy 5 stars. Try it and I am sure you will agree! read more

Meaghan was exceptional. She took her time to get to know me, my skin tone and my preferences. I haven't had my hair and makeup done in so long and it was great to have someone provide professional suggestions and recommendations. I enjoyed my discussions with her and she was indeed very welcoming. And not surprisingly, I received many compliments that evening for my hair and makeup. read more

Jasmin is a miracle worker! I was hopeless walking in with one of the worst haircuts of my life and went out feeling and looking amazing. She consulted me first and talked her way through the process. She is very talented and I highly recommend her. read more

Thank you so much Maddy for the fresh balayage and being so detailed orientated! I love it :) read more

I went in before traveling to a wedding to get my roots touched up. While I was relieved they were able to get me in quickly, I left extremely disappointed. I had strawberry blonde hair with dark roots and requested that she match my roots to the rest of my hair. I thought we had come to a pretty clear understanding of what I wanted. Apparently not. The stylist was very sweet but did the complete opposite of what I requested. She, for some reason, dyed my entire head of hair brown. I have no idea where she got the idea that that is what I wanted. If I cared more, I'd be pissed. Technique-wise, she did a fine job. I didn't understand why she bleached my roots before dying all of it brown, however. To make it even worse, they charged me an absurd amount of money for a dye job I didn't want and didn't ask for. I will not be returning. read more

Always a wonderful cut and style from my girl Jasmine. I appreciate her as a stylist so I had to follow her when she left her previous salon here. I like the interior design of this salon. Very open floor plan and love the exposed brick. The vintage pictures of models with various hair styles on the walls is a nice touch. Although I would add that representation of all people on the walls would be an excellent addition. read more

My experience with the Beehive spans many years. My 'go to' stylist is Tina; she is knowledgeable, detail oriented, fun, and always in for trying new styles. She does an amazing job on short haircuts; so much so, that I need minimal product to keep my cut looking great until the next appointment. The atmosphere at the Beehive is relaxed and positive. It feels like all stylists get along great; no tension or drama. I love going there for some needed pampering, and a few laughs! read more

I came back to Walla Walla for a visit and stumbled upon a gift card I had received from literally 13 years ago. No expiration date. I'm due for a haircut. What do I do? I shamelessly call the business and schedule a cut. Not only did the Beehive honor the decade-old gift card, they also gave me an additional gift card with the remaining balance. That's true small-town customer service. My haircut was great (I'm going to grab Anne again when I come back next year!), very reasonably priced, and the premises have the air of a busy big-city salon while staying down-to-earth. They're associated with a salon school now, so if you want to save even more money you can schedule a cut with one of the students instead of a certified stylist. Adding in a free drink, a nice head massage, and a complimentary blowdry with your cut and you've got a great deal. Also, it's walking distance from tons of restaurants, wineries and cafes downtown, so you can pop out and enjoy a coffee and biscuit with your new 'do as soon as you're done. Great business model at the perfect price. I'll be back on my next visit to Walla Walla! read more

The ladies told me I should go to the beehive for my color. I got a blunt cut. Pretty simple I'm not picky about my hair. As far as color went I wanted some gray streaks in my white hair which was pretty much confined to the front. I thought I was easy and simple. While the stylish was washing the dye out she informed me that the highlights were just temporary and that I would probably have to return in 2 weeks to get it done again!. Ok it looks fine but I was charged $150. I was thinking maybe $75. Boy did I feel like a sucker walking out of there. The stylish was as nice as can be and did a good job......but $150? I'll NEVER go back that's for sure and probably should have asked the price but man that seems ridiculous! Coud've been better? Should have been more reasonably priced. I'll be telling my friends NOT to recommend the place to others. read more

This is a pretty, relaxed but professional salon...plus prices are reasonable....I get my hair cut and colored here and look forward to it....my stylist is Tina but they all appear to do a good job.....everyone is very friendly and no drama..... read more

Really needed a haircut and all the local spots were like two months out! Decided to look up for spots on Yelp and Beehive popped up first thing. Had great reviews and made an appointment, which was super easy and didn't have to wait two months yay! Was able to get in within a week. Loved the scalp massage during the shampoo and the shampoo and conditioner smell great! Nice music and love the vibe at Beehive. read more

An amazing hair experience! The salon itself is beautiful and everyone who works there is so kind and welcoming. It's obvious a lot of thought and care goes into making clients feel comfortable. Moira is an absolute gem! My hair turned out beautifully due to her amazing talents. Highly reccomend this spot! read more

I've been a loyal Beehive customer for over 5 years now and have never left disappointed. In fact, I leave feeling amazing. I look forward to every appointment I make. My stylist, Moira (the new owner), nails it every time. I've brought many new fun ideas to try on my hair, and we both have a great time! All of the staff here are amazing, I'm happy to have found this gem in Walla Walla. Highly recommend! read more

My daughter rarely cuts her curly hair, but it was time. Morgan took time to get her haircut perfect and then dried her hair (temps in the 20s-brrr) and styled it nicely as well. We noticed that ALL of the stylists at Beehive have great locks, giving us confidence in their business. Beehive has a welcoming vibe and nice decor. Wine, coffee, bubbles water etc. is provided if that is your thing. We will definitely return! read more

Morgan is my girl! Always happy with my cut when she does it (: I booked online which was easier than I originally anticipated. I can't wait to get color services done by her in the future! read more

I love Lindsay at Beehive! I had another salon cancel on me last minute so I Google searched and Beehive came up. I called them and said they could get me in at the end of the day! Lindsay did an amazing job of asking questions to make sure she gave me the cut I wanted. My hair turned out great! I've gotten so many compliments on my new haircut. Thank you, Lindsay! read more

Did my hair for my wedding and it looked amazing made all my dreams come true. There is a separate charge for the practice updo and the day of updo front desk told me that the practice updo was included in the inexpensive $ quote even when I called back to confirm a 2 weeks prior but I found out different from my hair stylist Moria once practice updo was done but she was nice and we met in the middle on price. Loved my hair if I'm ever in need of hair services in WW again I would seek her out she's sweet and so very good. I had the most amazing makeup done by Bailey for my wedding day I asked to make me look like an evil Disney queen with a smoky eye look and it turned out perfect it was so worth the it. My matron of honor also got makeup done, got exactly what she had requested and loved it. Price was very reasonable to be relaxed on my wedding day and get what I dreamed of thanks Bailey ! This salon is outstanding!! read more

I've been a Beehive customer for a long time. I am picky about my hair and I've always been satisfied with my haircuts there. I've always been happy with their professionalism and customer service. Until this week, when one of their stylists recommended their new product line R&Co. She said that they had changed the formula so it wasn't as scented as usual and that it was similar to Bumble and Bumble (their old product and what I usually use). Unfortunately, the shampoo and conditioner are strongly enough scented that it irritates my scalp and makes me gag. I used it twice to be sure. My reaction was more severe the second time. I called Beehive, and the stylist who answered the phone said that I should be able to return it no problem. However, since they got a new owner 6 weeks ago, she'd have to double check on their new policy. Today, I got a call from yet another staff member who informed me that the owner had refused my return because they can't sell "used" product. I do understand this. However, you can't try a new product without using it! The irony is that I was willing to pay the difference and purchase their more expensive Oribe line, so they would have made money off the return. I can buy that elsewhere in town, though. I understand that the choice to try the recommended product was on me. However, the new owner failed to make her new policies clear with her staff and also was not professional enough to call me herself. I don't think I will be spending money at the Beehive again, and I encourage potential customers to try one of the many other fine choices in town. I love to support local businesses; I just refuse to support local business owners who don't provide excellent customer service. ETA: My mother insisted on going to talk them in person, and apparently they did (reluctantly and less than politely) offer store credit. So kudos for that. I won't change my rating, though, because my opinion of the new owner's professionalism and lack of customer service has not changed. read more

I recently had a wonderful experience with Morgan at Beehive! I came in after a long quarantine, with some roots that needed some serious TLC. I was just visiting for a few days, so I'm happy she was able to get me in so last minute. Naturally, it can be scary seeing a new stylist for the first time. However, Morgan was not only such a joy to chat with, she did a fantastic job with my blonde highlights! I wish I lived closer, so she could be my regular stylist. Thanks so much, Morgan!! read more
