Whitecliffs Beach Resort - Sooooo relaxing and private

Quirky, be as it may, this little "resort" in the gorgeous, understated Mornington Peninsula area…read morewould surprise you. It's old... yes, it is. It does look like a stinkin' motel from the outside, yes to that too. However, once a person follows the meandering path past the various small units, welcome to a pleasure pit of mini mini-golf, a pool, a private sauna room, a lounge with free coffee and tea, large flat screen, couches for the chillax... Too, there is a large covered area for large reunions or groups to do some work over the barbie, and to sit around long benches to eat outside. That was certainly a nice touch. There is a restaurant on premises, and all in all, it's the outside amenities that makes this place a very private, quiet place to stay in Rye. I wish I had remembered to take photos, but was too relaxed to remember.... sipping on some coffee, drying up after a long double soad in the hot tub... having walked from the pier back to Whitecliffs. Day usage permitted for timeshare owners, and for now, no wifi, save if you stand with your device right at the check-in office (uh..awkward!). They told me that they're working on getting that up to the premises. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but there is spilling-over charm to be experienced here.. for the quieter crowd, I would imagine. http://www.redweek.com/resort/P3050-whitecliffs-beach-resort

This resort has just about everything you could wish for and a great place for families. Loved meeting some of the other guests during breakfast on Monday and Wednesday. The very safe beach was about a 3 minute walk across the road. We used the local bus for all our travel needs . Pays to have a timetable though and don't forget to purchase your myki card. Thanks Liz & Frank. We will try and return. Highly recommend . Lynn & Bruce NZ

A beautiful resort set in-between a few golf courses lots of grass and greenery?!? Yes please…read more This beautiful resort is set in Fingal, not too far away from the Peninsula Hot Springs and consists of multiple buildings that create the most relaxing atmosphere you ever could ask for. The view from the balconies is absolutely gorgeous with some rooms overlooking a golf course that sees the sunset in all it's glory. There's a golfing pro-shop located in the main reception building where you can rent golf carts, clubs, an instructor, and buy whatever golfing equipment your heart desires. Not interested in golfing? There's a beautiful path you can follow to walk through the golf course as well as an Endota Spa located on the premises. There's also a lovely bar and a restaurant with amazing food located in the main reception as well. The rooms are the bare essentials with a split system heater located on the wall, a beautiful patio to be able to watch the golf course with a nice metal bench and table to place a glass of bubbly or your beer to relax with. The bathroom area is a bit low on light when it's dark outside so they could use improvement on that, I do need light to apply makeup! The smoke detector is right directly above the bed which makes it a bit annoying when you're trying to sleep with the red light on a constant another light blinking off and on, but all in all, the resort is amazing. I forgot to mention, the staff is AMAZING! Even after we checked out they went to their fullest possible extent to ensure we were taken care of. Some of the stuff aren't the sharpest tools in the shed but I suppose you need a bit of everything to make a business work! If you're in the area and need a place to stay, this resort is ghighly recommended.

Restaurant charges a small fortune for very ordinary food. Better off eating at the bar next door.read more

We booked a spa session for two and here are the prices below. 60 Mins Outdoor 1-3 People $99 pp 4 + $75 pp 90 Minutes Outdoor 1 - 3 people $149 pp 4 people $125 pp When we arrived, there was plenty of parking and it was just so QUIET and peaceful. We signed in and were shown to our private bath area that had a small change room, and a large spa with a small garden on the edges and tables and chairs. Quiet music was played and the spa has a bubble machine if you like that but it was just soothing and relaxing. The bathrooms are shared with the spa next to you but are clean and easily accessible. For the price you pay, it is relaxing however a bit pricey for me and I wouldn't go very often. It has a complete different feel than the Penninsula Hot Springs such as no kids running around and is very exclusive. They do other packages such as dinner and accommodation however be prepared to leave a big hole in your wallet!

Driving up to this place you wouldn't think it existed! Located high on the mountains through off road tracks! You turn the corner in and BAM you see this beautiful bamboo gate and it already feels like japan! We went here for a massage treatment! As we walked through the entrance we were greeted by a host who new my name before introduction (they new my booking remembers my name and had everything ready for the time of arrival)!! We were seated in the dining/bar area to fill out some forms with a nice green tea to enjoy whilst sitting on a lovely long couch with a view of their outside garden and decor! We were then shown to the massage room, a hut with two massage tables overlooking an amazing water fountain! Whistle getting the massage with beautiful aroma door left slightly open to hear the treakling of the outside water fountain! Massage was great, they made sure it was good the whole way through! After the massage shown back to dinning room To have some more green tea and green tea cake to relax and recoup before our journey home. Service was brilliant. Yes it is a little bit pricey but it was worth every cent :-) loved it and will be back to try out the mineral spas and the authentic Japanese hut for accommodation!
