Since I was home all the time and wearing masks outside all the time, Covid inspired me to do something I always wanted to do. I got adult braces and now am finally fixing my bottom crooked teeth! Going to Dr. Thomas was a no brainer based on reviews alone. But a friend also recommended this office as she used them for her adult braces too. The service and staff is top notch and you can trust yourself or your child will be in the best hands. Another interesting thing about Covid is that it also had me re-think my lifestyle and I decided to relocate to Arizona just 5 months into my treatment. We never saw the same orthodontist or tech more than once. I don't know if they use random per diem orthodontists or moonlighting residents but the orthodontists don't seem to have much of a role. They come for 3 minutes and the tech does everything. 2. They are not careful or maybe it's a lack of skills. Something as basic as scraping off excess glue/cement so it doesn't puncture/irritate the gums when putting on orthodontic device. 3. There is no one on call for after hours at this practice. No one answers the on call service. They just don't pick up. You're out of luck if anything goes wrong after hours. 4. Difficult scheduling appointments. You must make your appointment weeks in advance. If you need to reschedule for an unexpected reason, there are no available appointments. They are also always running late. You wait in the waiting room, then wait again in the chair. Clearly overbooked all the time.

Kyle, the youngest, after 2.5 years, and not getting my son's teeth straight, shaved them down (literally filed my son's teeth down). Until this incident, I didn't even know this was a possibility. How awful, I spent THOUSANDS of dollars to not have his teeth/bite fully corrected & to get them shaved down. My 2 son's had fabulous service but my 3rd son's teeth got shaved down because the orthodontist practice was now taken over by Mark Higgenbotto's kids. Before he shaved/filed his teeth I was not told 1)which teeth would be filed 2) how much would be filed from those teeth 3) if we filed them, when the braces would come off 4) if we didn't file them how much longer the braces would stay on After we paid thousands and signed a contract, no one ever told me that NOT straightening my child's teeth was an option or I would have found another orthodontist. My 4th child will never go to this office & I can no longer suggest anyone else go either. Stay away, from one mom to another find another orthodontist! These people should be ashamed of themselves! Now this is my opinion & I have nothing to back it up however what I think happened is that they know (have calculated) the approximate time of each teen in braces and if your child's teeth don't move quite enough in that time frame maybe it starts eating into their profit margin & they want to get you out of there.....Just a guess.
