Our intent with this review is to warn others that the warranty you stated came with the mattress is untrue, not to harm a small business. By no means is this an inappropriate and libelous post Jeff. They are true statements about the product we purchased from your business. You are damaging your own reputation by not standing behind the products you sell. Oh that's right. I am not even certain you sell this mattress set anymore because if I recall correctly you stated that you weren't happy with them either. Also I know how to read a ruler, but thank you for clarifying the metric vs. inches. You didn't even take the time to come out to our home and look at the mattress yourself, you asked for a picture to be sent to you. Yet another example the value of service you receive after a purchase. We are customers who trusted a small business to stand behind their products which you have not done Jeff. We were never told that your business would not be responsible for any defects when we purchased it and quite frankly that makes no difference at this point. You personally stated that there was another customer who had the same mattress set and was experinecing the same problem. However you still do nothing to correct the issue.

I too agree that when we purchased 2 mattress and boxspring sets (1 queen set and 1 king set) that this business seemed wonderful. Fast forward 2 years and I can honestly tell you this is not the case. After being given the run around by Jeff the owner for several months we are fed up and feel he should be the one taking responsibility for the products that he sells. My husband and I have done everything that he had asked us to do from calling the local rep that sells him the mattresses and boxsprings, calling the company and leaving a review (see below). Only to be given a complete runaround and stating that there is nothing he can do about the 2-3" dip on both sides of the mattress. These have a 15 year warranty, why is it not being honored?@! Shouldn't a reputable business take responsibilty for their products when they are not up to par. Oh, and did I mention that he told us this problem happened to another customer as well? So incredibly disappointed. This was the first purchase we made when we moved to Wilmington and we were so happy to support a local business... only to be treated as though it is our problem the company he purchases his products from won't stand behind their warranty. I didn't buy the mattresses and boxsprings from the distributor. I purchased it from Cape Fear Bedding. So if you want to buy a mattress and boxspring I would recommend doing so from a company that actually warranties the product.
I hate to write a bad review but unfortunately this company has left us no other choice. We purchased a brand new king size mattress and box spring (Kathy Ireland Home--Therapedic International, Essential Architectural Twilight Skies Eurotop) from Cape Fear Bedding in Wilmington, NC and were told by the salesperson that this was a top of the line set which came with a 15 year warranty, at 100% coverage, not pro-rated. However after 1 year the mattress started to sag on both sides and create a mountain in the middle. Neither my husband nor I are large people so you can imagine our disappointment. The mattress and boxspring that we had for over 10+ years was only replaced because we moved into a larger home and needed an extra bed, so we were really excited about the upgrade. But I can tell you there is not a night that goes by I don't think about moving our old bed back to our room. After a couple of months we decided that we should contact the store we purchased it from and ask them what the problem could be and a possible solution. Of course because we never had any troubles with our previous set we weren't quite sure how to proceed. When we went to the store we were met by Jeff, the store owner, a very professional and courteous man that listened to everything we had to say. After hearing our story he explained the process, which was him coming out to inspect the mattress and boxspring, taking pictures, and submitting it to Sleepworthy. Over 4 months has passed only to be told by Jeff that Sleepworthy Bedding has denied our claim for replacement. How is this possible? We have sent pictures and followed the direction of the sales person which was make certain a mattress cover is placed on the bed upon delivery or else it would void the warranty.
There is absolutely no reason what-so-ever that this company should not do the right thing and replace our mattress and boxspring. We spent an exuberant amount of money on a product that was guaranteed and they are not keeping their word on the quality or the warranty. I should also add, that we were told there are others experiencing the same problems with this particular set as well.
There is nothing 'worthy' about this company. DO NOT purchase their products because you will be very disappointed. read more
