I was camping near Brewster at the end of August and my truck wouldn't start. I had it towed to a local garage and he couldn't get one of the bolts to starter out. I then had it towed to cape cod truck. They took it in and spent several days on it. I finally went to pick it up and was charged just under 1300.00 dollars. He said they had a hard time and even put 2 guys on it. I knew I was being ripped off because I was not a resident. Paid the bill and left. One month later new starter died. Had towed to a reputable trusted mechanic. I told him my story. His response was as follows 1. Replacing starter was 320.00 parts and labor. 2. He had just replaced a starter with the same problem and charged an extra 100.00 for a total of 420.00 3. He said there is no way it requires 2 people as there is barely room for one mechanic to work on it. 4 Starter installed was a piece of junk Obviously the took advantage of my vacationing what this idiot is to stupid to realize is it hurts the reputation of businesses in the area. I will never spend anything in cape cod again. His lousy reputation reflects on other local businesses which hurts them. This is why Massachusetts residents like this are often referred as Massholes. This place absolutely sucks they told me it would take two days it took nine they told me it was gonna be 400 bucks it was $1300 the only reason I took the truck in there was to have it registered and they forgot to do it do not take your vehicles here they will rip you off read more

Awful. Quoted $900 for a repair on my 1 yr old trailer. Dealer and Manufacture said thats an appropriate price. Went to pick it up (2 months later) and the bill was $2,300. And, someone backed into it and dented the tounge. read more

I went for an oil change and tire rotation and left with a $350 bill. Not impressed with the service or the communication. I reluctantly went there because I couldn't get in anywhere else and because of the reputation around town. They lived up to their poor reputation. To make things worse, they didn't even change the tire pressure after they rotated the tires. The tire pressure light came on shortly after I drove away. I'll do it myself. I used Cape Cod Truck to replace rear brakes on my motorhome. They took two painstaking days to do the job and refused to finish the job until I paid them up front. When they gave me the bill, I was shocked to see a price of $6,420.73. I had no choice but to pay them as they had my brakes apart. After telling them several times that the brakes were not right they refused to do anything else. The next day I had to find another company to check the brakes, only to find that the brake lines had never been bled properly. Two weeks later one of the wheel covers which had not been replaced properly came off and did damage to the motorhome. I would highly recommend staying clear of this business. read more

Well! Where do I start? I'm from Florida and was visiting Province Town when my Ram 3500 truck would not start. I had to have it towed somewhere and Cape Cod Truck was recommended. I was camping for the winter in Bourne and had to ask a family member drive to P town to bring us to our camp ground. Called CCTruck and they said they would be checking it out and let us know what the problem was. That took about a week. Called they were still looking. Then we called and notified us the computer was dead and would need a replacement. Not good news. They said it would 2 weeks before they could get one. So that's about 21/2 weeks. After two weeks they informed us it would be in the next day. That never happened. Waited two more weeks NO PART! They called a dealership in Hyannis to see if they could get one. Yes ! But it would be about(you guessed it) Two more weeks. They finely got it but discovered it was not programmed. They sent it and the truck to dealership in Plymouth. Then after a few days were told they needed the old computer to finish the programming. When they got it it was dead and was useless. So the Plymouth dealership had to remove the valve cover to retrieve some numbers located on valves. Went and picked up the truck today thinking everything was ready for a long trip to Florida. I was about 5 miles headed home when I noticed the speedometer was not working and the check engine light went on. Called Plymouth (by this time I was A Little Hot) Left it there and They will look at it Monday. If you total all the times I haven't had the truck for almost 8 weeks. My big complaint is when first they knew they were not making progress they should of called me and recommend I take it to Plymouth instead of screwing around with part number1 which never ever arrived to them. read more

Hello,I brought my pick up truck to have the rear axle put back to the original position as it shifted an inch and one half due to a previous accident.This made the truck's rear wheels not track with the front wheels. Cape Cod Truck said they could fix the problem by replacing leaf springs and that would straighten the axle. To summarize,I was charged for two alignments at over $300.and two u-bolts for a total of $672.The parts they needed never were put on my truck,and they used the old ones without informing me first. The truck still tracks the same as when I brought it to them.It was not fixed. In all good faith I would not care to see other people get taken advantaged of and to stay clear of Cape Cod Truck for their repairs. read more

I've been a loyal Cape Cod truck customer for the past 2 1/2 years... They keep my truck and trailer in great condition and always do so at a very fair price. I'm known for leaving things until the last minute and they always seem to be able to get things patched up in the time I need them to. Awful experience. I would rate zero stars if I could. We brought our dual axle boat trailer in for repair. These guys did their "thorough" inspection and they completely missed the mark on a blatant exploded hub on the front axle (it exploded on our way over to dropping the trailer off to them). After their inspection they came up with $3400 of repair work (lights, replace REAR axle hubs, replace wooden bunks, some welding work, new brakes and new leaf springs). Nothing about the front axle or front hubs. We agreed to have them repair the one exploded hub so we could drive it off the lot and they repaired the wrong one. Shame on us for not driving down there and pointing this out. The one hub still cost us over $300. Obviously we couldn't trust these guys so we cut our losses and decided to look elsewhere. We took our chances and carefully drove it off the lot and just as we were pulling into our home, the hub that they missed had completely separated. Please avoid these guys at all costs. This will be expensive for you and they are not competent enough to keep you safe. read more
