So I this is a delayed review but I need to leave one. I am new to photography. I finally took some shots I wanted to print. I went to Orleans camera and video. I asked about options for printing and was hoping I could maybe get some pointers. I have never been treated so rudely in a store. I was made to feel bad about my low budget camera and lenses, and my lack of knowledge of technical aspects. The condescending owner (I'm assuming) should not work with customers. I ended up walking out somewhat embarrased and considered putting my d3400 up for sale on Ebay. Fast forward a few days and I decided to give cape cod photo a try. I was greeted by one of the owners a really nice woman who brought me back to the printer zach swift. What a great experience! Zach took the time to give me advise on camera settings and some new tips for editing on lightroom. He suggested some adjustments but gave me final cut on the photo. He took the time to find a good frame for my photo. That was my first experience. I used zach's advise and kept shooting away. Fast forward a little more. My photos got dramatically better because of advise I was given. I had 3 more large prints made for Christmas gifts that were a hit! I even entered a photo I took while on safari in a competition that won honorable mention. This was going up against the type of "real" photographers the other store seems to only want to cater to. Yes, all with my low budget camera. I am still very much an amateur but I have since sold a few prints to people who saw my photos online. Once again zach gave me suggestions on how to price my work. I know this is a long review, but this needs to be said. I almost gave up on photography. Now I dont go anywhere without my camera. I am really grateful the staff. read more

I am prone to reading reviews about a photography service before I use it. My negatives are very precious to me and I depend on reliable, professional service. I was on the Cape visiting and wanted my film developed. My experience was the exact opposite. The gentleman that helped me could not have been more concerned about giving me good service and the negatives came out perfect. When I picked them up I was helped by a woman who I guessed was the owner. She told me how she and her husband always wanted to live on the Cape and were so thrilled to have this business and the opportunity to work with the locals as well as visitors. They focus on giving professional service to the artists that live on Cape Cod year round as well as people visiting for a week or two. She said that customer service is the heart of their business. I hope you will give Cape Cod Photo a try - I could not have been more pleased and I even discovered some nice gifts for my children in the "All Wound Up' section in the back that has really cool, unusual items for the kid in all of us. read more

My husband who is a wonderful photographer goes to Cape Cod Photo, Art and Framing for all his digital and special photo needs and is always happy with the results. I have also been thrilled with many jobs they have done with enlarging our special photos onto framed canvas...just beautiful!! Makes a great gift! Whenever I stop in, they are right there to help and I always know that if I was not happy with a product, they will make it right. I usually live out west but when I'm on the cape its great to know I don't have to make the trek to Hyannis for all my art and film supplies. Great selection! Also amazing staff! Very friendly and helpful. I have been a long time customer of Orleans Camera and I couldn't believe when I found out they don't carry 120 film! Pretty much don't go to AC Moore or Michales... support Cape Cod Photo, Art and Framing! Cheers! p.s. I couldn't believe reading Julie M's review. Sounds like someone was having a bad day and decided to go on a yelping rampage! I have sent a ton of film to the place she is referring to in Kentucky, never had bad results! I visited Cape Cod Photo Art and framing on 2 occasions. Once around the Holidays to shop for shop for small items for my children. They had so many unique and fun gifts. The kids loved them! On another occasion I needed some work framed. During both of my visits I received the kind of friendly, professional service that most businesses lack these days. I was very satisfied with the finished product. I can't say enough about the store and the great service they provided. I highly recommend this lovely family owned shop. I have been here many times to buy art supplies. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. When I needed guidance about certain paints, glosses, and brushes they knew the answers to my questions. They also have a cute novelty store "all wound up" that carries cool clocks and fun toys from bacon gum to a mug with a diamond ring on the handle. It's a good place to find gifts for people too. I have taken my photos to the staff at Cape Cod Photo & Art many times, and I always receive great service and my photos come out great. I have also purchased a camera from them, the person that helped answered all of my questions and the camera has been great! I always enjoy going in to drop off film and chat with the staff. I must say that I'm not one to post many things but the service that I received seems worthy. This mom and pop store has a nice warm feel and the help was just as good. Had a issue with my Nikon d700 which was quickly rectified by them. The owner was very personable and went out of his way to help me. I'm not a professional by any means but needed to get this fixed. If you are in the neighborhood stop by and see what I'm talking about. read more
